OlderMonique Coleman Joins America’s Second Harvest
High School Musical star Monique Coleman joins America’s Second Harvest and ConAgra Foods Foundation to Pack Lunch Bags for Hungry Kids in LA on Tuesday.
The event was held to raise awareness of the significant increase in demand that foodbanks across the country are currently experiencing.
Monique handed out her exclusive “Fight Childhood Hunger” lunch bag to the first 500 kids who packed shopping bags full of food products donated by ConAgra Foods Foundation. Coleman designed the special edition lunch bags as part of a national retail campaign benefiting America’s Second Harvest.
“Kids are getting ready to head back to school and it’s important to ensure that they have full stomachs with the balanced meals they need to reach their full potential,” said Coleman. “I hope our efforts today inspire kids across the country to organize their own food drives to help hungry kids.”

Monique is a class act.
It’s wonderful to see that Mo has the care and the passion that it takes to what to help those who don’t or have little enough of the food they need.
I’m 57 years old so I’m going to say I’m thankful for these kids for working for a good cause. I know there are those of you out there who will say she is doing it for good PR, well, I say look at Mo and listen to some of the things she has said in the past. What it boils down to is that she could do other things but she chose this, BECAUSE SHE CARES.

Monique is awesome to do this. What a cute baby she is holding. Huggable looking!!! That is a great charity to be working for, and I’m glad she is taking time out to do it, especially because of her young age. Most young people are very self absorbed with clothes and make-up and don’t care, or do it because their agent is making them, and then it shows in their faces that they are bored. I wish Monique would part with those heavy bangs though. Her face is way to pretty to be laden down be those.
What a nice thing to do. Very generous of her, giving her time to a charity like this.

Monique Coleman is the only High School Musical Star who is ACTIVE in child advocacy. She is an inspiration. Child advocacy is not new to her. She has been doing these types of things for children for a while now, but she’s just now getting a smidget of coverage.
