SUMMER-FRUIT SANGRIA
Ingredients
Serves 8
2 ripe plums, pitted and cut into 1/4-inch wedges
1 large Gala apple, cored and cut into 1/8-inch wedges
1 navel orange, thinly sliced crosswise, larger slices halved
6 ounces (1 1/2 cups) raspberries
1 cup vodka
2 bottles dry white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc, chilled
1/4 cup superfine sugar
Directions
1. Combine plums, apple, orange, raspberries, and vodka in a nonreactive bowl. Let stand, uncovered, at room temperature for 2 hours.
2. Combine wine and sugar in a pitcher, and stir until sugar dissolves. Add fruit mixture, and stir gently to combine. Serve immediately over ice.

technically its not a full on war movie

WW2 is just the setting and background and the rest is a sort of fantasy/drama/action story from the mind of QT

just wondering why you think that they should take into consideration that this movie will be filmed in Germany and France? since this film takes place during world war 11 it only makes sense it will be filmed in France. France was invaded by Germany in Sept of 1940 and the Germans didn’t leave until they were forced out by men like my father.
as for Germany; it should be obvious why they’re filming there. It wasn’t Switzerland that invaded France.

Angelina does have respect as an actress as a VERSATILE actress and even though A MIGHTY HEART did not have box office success, Angelina got critical acclaim because everyone knows she is a great characteer actress (Gia, Girl Interuptted and Mighty Heart) as well as a great action star. She has her Golden Globes and Oscar to prove it. She has nothing to prove.

Brad on the other hand has had some great performances but unfortunately in the same years as other actors with great performances. He should get his Oscar this year, but then again, there’s Heath Ledger and his Dark Knight performance. The last two years Brad could have won for Oscar for Babel and Jesse James but was nipped by someone else. His time is coming spoon though.

Good news. The quirky combination of QT and Brad should make it very interesting.

Wow, lots of Brad movies to look forward to: BAR, CCOBB, TOL and now, IB. All movies with top producers and/or LEGENDARY directors.

In a business in which image is everything, matching sweater sets just won’t do — especially if you’re a featured face in the Jolie-Pitt family album.
The 19-page photo spread in this week’s People magazine introduced the world to Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon, the twins born to much fanfare on July 12 to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The images, which People would not release for publication, depict a seemingly casual day at Jolie and Pitt’s French chateau, without the formality found in other celebrity baby photo spreads. The vibe is of a family slumber party; the photos range from the parents with their newborns to one-on-one sibling shots to all eight sets of arms and legs tangled on a fluffy bed.

But “don’t let that fool you,” says Howard Bragman, a Hollywood publicist and author of the upcoming book Where’s My Fifteen Minutes?. “I think it’s what we would call ’studied casual,’ which is the hardest thing to create.”

Jolie, 33, and Pitt, 44, who said they plan to donate the many millions they received for the photos to charity, aren’t trying “to flaunt their wealth, but their family and their beliefs in adoption and diversity,” Bragman says.

Bragman likens the photos to Benetton’s clothing ads, which used models of different ethnicities.

Robert Verdi, a celebrity stylist and television personality, agrees. “I really look at it as the reality of the Benetton campaigns,” he says. “It’s such a nice reflection of the idea of multicultures … and it’s evidence that Hollywood’s royal family is a diverse one.”

The photos include siblings Maddox, 7, from Cambodia, Pax, 4, from Vietnam, Zahara, 3, from Ethiopia, and Shiloh, 2. Taking good photos of kids is no easy feat, Verdi notes. “You can’t control four children, no matter how many millions you’re getting paid,” he says.

Although the photos may seem as if the children had just run in from playing in the yard, Bragman has no doubt that multiple stylists were on hand to create the perfect look. Both People magazine and Getty Images, which handled the photography, declined to comment on the shoot.

“This was very well planned and very well executed,” Bragman says. “Yes, they have the maids and the nannies and the security and all of these things that go with who they are, but the message is that ‘Hey, we’re pretty regular people.’ ”

Even if stylists were on the scene, “it’s a new age of parenting where children get to do what they want,” Verdi says. “No child in my time growing up would have had blue hair,” he adds, referring to Maddox’s faux-hawk hairdo.

The photo session was held at the chateau, but little of the house is seen. Most of the photos take place in a room with stark white walls. “I don’t think they are trying to look as wealthy as they are. It’s about accessibility,” Bragman says.

Verdi says the family’s photo shoot reflects a trend: “Right now there’s definitely been this idea of not looking the part, wealthwise. The line is so blurred that fashion no longer tells people who you really are — it tells them who you want to be.”

The color palette is all neutrals, with the occasional pop of color from Maddox’s hair or Zahara’s shirt. “The soft-focus colors … it’s pure, good, simple and clean. It’s absent of the frills that take the focus off the humanity,” Verdi says. Jolie’s hair is undone and her makeup is muted. “That’s the hardest thing to do,” Bragman says. “It’s easy to go over the top.”

The kids are mostly in play clothes, and chipped nail polish and what appears to be partially rubbed-off fake tattoos are visible. “The implication of having this desire to save these children from strife and poverty implies not that you want to control them, but that you want them to have the freedom to express themselves,” Verdi says. “You don’t want to dress them up like objects.”

The final product is “perfect,” Bragman says. The family looks authentic, and the “biggest word in marketing is authenticity. If they try and look too fancy, people might not buy it. When people are trying to be who they’re not, other people can tell.”

Bragman predicts this easy, carefree style will spark a trend among non-celebrity families. “Every portrait photographer across America is going to be doing baby pictures like these.”

Brad will be just perfect for the movie Inglorious, cant wait to see those other two films. I am so sorry that I did not go to the movie and see Troy. In the future I will go and see all of Brad’s pictures for myself because some critics were saying that movie was not that good. I finally got a chance to watch the film Troy on tv and it was very good. My daughter was looking at it and stated that she had seen it fives times, thats how good she thought the film was and Ive seen it three times myself. So from now on I do not listen to the critics. I will check it myself. How can critics tell you what movies are good or bad, people have individual taste in movies. Ive always thought Brad would fit right in- playing in war movies because he has that handsome officer look.

On one side of the Industrial Canal — the levee protecting the Lower Ninth Ward (lower because it’s on lower ground in relation to the water level) has been rebuilt to withstand a Category 5 hurricane — that’s a 13-foot high wall. However, on the side protecting the Upper Ninth Ward, the new levee is only 10 feet tall, able to sustain a Category 3 hurricane. Meanwhile, FEMA trailers — nicknamed “toxic tin cans” for their high levels of cancer-causing formaldehyde — are all that some residents had over the past two or three years since their homes were destroyed.

On a bus tour through the Ninth Ward districts, I saw these ubiquitous trailers as well as various construction teams hard at work building new homes. Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation is set up in the Lower Ninth Ward, where the flooding was as high as 13 feet and much of the neighborhood is overgrown grassland.

One house at a time, one business at a time, one party at a time, the city of Satchmo and Saints, dirty rice and hot sauce, voodoo and gris-gris somehow finds a way to endure.

Darfur “Lost Boy” to carry US flag at Olympic ceremony

Lopez Lomong, one of the “Lost Boys” of Sudan who was a victim of violence in Darfur, was named Thursday as the United States flag bearer for the opening ceremony at the Beijing Olympics.

US captains in every Olympic sport met at the Olympic Village and voted to award the honor for Friday’s ceremony to Lomong, a sensitive choice given criticism of Chinese foreign policy over the conflict in Darfur.

“This is the most exciting day ever in my life,” Lomong said. “It’s a great honor for me that my teammates chose to vote for me.

“The opening ceremony is the best day and the best moment of Olympic life. I’m here as an ambassador of my country and I will do everything I can to represent my country well.”

Lomong, 23, was kidnapped from his family by the Janjaweed militia and taken hostage. He and other youths escaped and spent three days on the run before crossing the border into Kenya and being taken to a refugee camp.

He spent years there just fighting to survive and famously paid five Kenyan shillings to watch a black and white television telecast of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

He said seeing US track star Michael Johnson win gold sparked his dream of becoming an Olympian.

Lomong was adopted by a US foster family, changed his citizenship to American and will race in the 1,500 meters at Beijing.

China has close ties with Sudan, as one of the main buyers of the African nation’s oil and a key investor in its economy, and rights groups have accused Beijing of not doing enough to try and resolve the conflict in Darfur.

The United Nations has said that 300,000 people have died in Darfur and that more than 2.2 million have been displaced since 2003. The Sudanese government puts the number of fatalities at 10,000.

That USA Today article is laughable. Why is it so hard for these hardazz types to just simply believe this family is genuine? Why is that so hard to comprehend? Do they truly think these pictures were that contrived and that a team of stylists really orchestrated the whole thing? Sat around and chipped off Shiloh’s nail polish and partially rubbed off Pax’s tattoos for authenticity? PUH-LEEZE!

Its absolutely maddening AND hilarious that anybody would go all around their elbow to get to their backside just to come up with a convoluted theory like that…

Hey, Bragman, consider this the hint of the century, maybe this photoshoot looks so real and spontaneous, because……it is.

dragonfly, I couldn’t have said it better myself. After reading that I was scratching my head thinking, ‘What?!’ I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. No doubt some aspects of the photo shoot were planned, the plain white room, the mostly white clothing. But to say that Mad’s and Pax hair were contrived just for the shoot is ludicrous. Especially since we seen glimpses of Mad’s dyed hair for weeks now. The casualness of the bed attire is really not so different from what we’ve glimpsed of their everyday attire as captured by various paps. The fact that this family is so loved and admired by a lot of people is hard to take for a few diehards who I know are mostly jealous.

I see Brads hat has made it to the Olympics with the American Team.l hope the JPs watched the opening ceremony it was amazing.Pax and Mad will have enjoyed it.

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Brad Pitt officially has gone inglorious.

The actor has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious ********,” signing on to play Lt. Aldo Raine, the head of the Jewish resistance in the writer/director’s World War II film.

Additionally, British actor Simon Pegg (”Hot Fuzz”) is in discussions to join the cast. David Krumholtz (CBS’ “Numbers”) has an offer but may have a scheduling problem. Nastassja Kinski is meeting with Tarantino for the part of a German actress.

Pitt’s character is a Southern rebel who leads a band of eight Jewish American soldiers as they exact vengeance on Nazis in German-occupied France.

Pegg would play a British lieutenant. Krumholtz’s part would be that of a member of Pitt’s team.

Producer Lawrence Bender said the alchemy of Pitt and Tarantino, who have never worked together as actor and director, will yield unique results. “They’re going to push each other and really help make something special,” he said.

Pitt’s character is a voluble, freewheeling outlaw in the manner of Samuel L. Jackson’s Jules Winnfield in “Pulp Fiction,” prone to saying things like “we’re gonna be doing one thing, and one thing only, and that’s killing Nazis,” according to those familiar with the script.

Angelina does have respect as an actress as a VERSATILE actress and even though A MIGHTY HEART did not have box office success, Angelina got critical acclaim because everyone knows she is a great characteer actress (Gia, Girl Interuptted and Mighty Heart) as well as a great action star. She has her Golden Globes and Oscar to prove it. She has nothing to prove.

Speaking to ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff in an interview scheduled to air Friday on Nightline, Edwards cited the timing of Rielle’s baby’s Feb. 27, 2008 birth as proving he is not the father, because the affair with Hunter had ended, he said. He has not submitted to a paternity test.

Former campaign aide Andrew Young has claimed paternity of the child.

Friends of Hunter tell ABC that she and Edwards met in 2006 at a New York City bar, and she received $114,000 from his political action committee to produce Web site documentaries for the Edwards

Tell me about it. The other day, I went to FF. Yeah, I know. It’s just that I’ve never visited it before, but I’ve read from posters here that it’s vile and vicious. That interview is from the end of 2003 and the very beginning of 2004 (January) so it’s more than 4 1/2 and Angelina was joking around.

Although it true that she thought she would never find a great love, a partner and a father for her children. She though she would probably be raising her kids (she wanted to adopt more) alone and have friends and lovers. She speaks about it in many interviews and how that made her sad in away.

Judging from this summer’s hit films, one could argue that agents are so 2007.

George Lucas, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow are all basking in big box office scores over the past three months. They’re also the latest big talent to work without an agent (though Paltrow did book her “Iron Man” gig with a hand from her former CAA reps).

“Wall-E” director Andrew Stanton and “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” star Ron Perlman also operate in the agent-free zone.

So, too, do two of Hollywood’s biggest above-the-marquee names, Leonardo DiCaprio and Peter Jackson, who, though out of the mix this summer, manage just fine without the assistance of an agent. Likewise, Harrison Ford was for decades represented exclusively by manager Patricia McQueeney, but eventually signed with UTA.
More than one option

But before everyone runs out on their agents, eager for work without the burden of those pesky commissions, remember that not every talent has the heft to go it alone — and there are repercussions when they do.

“I think it’s very important and incredibly valuable to have an agency behind you,” says Jolie’s longtime manager Geyer Kosinski (and onetime agent), noting that she is an exception to the rule.

“Other talent has approached me to (solely) represent them,” says Kosinski. “But it’s a very competitive environment getting a job as an actor, writer or director, and if you don’t have an agency working in tandem with a manager and an attorney, you are putting yourself at a big disadvantage.”

In fact, Jolie is an unusual case, at least among actresses, because filmmakers develop and write projects specifically for her — a rarity for female thesps who thus benefit from being part of a large agency and seeing material earlier than they would otherwise. Studios are even willing to tweak screenplays written for male actors between the ages of 25 and 40 and develop them as Jolie vehicles, in an effort to entice the actress.

Additionally, Jolie, who has been agentless since 1997 (with the exception of a three-month stint with CAA), is only interested in acting in one project a year — limiting the need for an agent.

Everyone else, Kosinski insists, would benefit from having an agent on their team.

And though the summer demonstrated otherwise, many would agree. As Lucas puts together “Red Tails,” which follows an all-black World War II fighter pilot squad, some wonder why the film has no talent attached yet.

Still, there is something to be said for the simplicity of one-stop handling.

Paul W.S. Anderson, who helmed Universal’s “Death Race” remake, says he prefers to work exclusively with manager Ken Kamins (another onetime agent who also handles Jackson).

“When you have both an agent and a manager, one always takes the lead,” he says. “It’s just like a film. There can only be one director. Well, sometimes you have two, but it’s usually brothers. Representation is the same way, there’s a chain of command, and only one person can effectively run your career.”

I was delighted beyond words when Brad hooked up with Angie because I thought he was totally going to waste playing Ken to Aniston’s Barbie. I wasn’t at all surprised when he left Aniston; I was only surprised he didn’t do it sooner. The writing had been on the wall for at least two years.

I’ve got to admit that I liked Brad and chicken cutlet Paltrow a lot but when he married Aniston, well,…Then there were rumblings of problems in that marriage and you kind of didn’t see them too much together. when brad married x, i was shocked, who knew, she was a c-Lister at best, i think a lot of Hollywood was scratching their heads, with all the beautiful starlets in holly wood, how did brad, of all people end up with that frog, i think she was surprised too. i remember all the entertainment shows kept asking her how she pulled that off, and she kept saying…i don’t know. and now she won’t go away, we all have to suffer.

Anyhoo, to Helen, I’d like to throw my 45 cents in regarding your question about how fans reacted to Brad and Angelina getting together. I can tell you that as far as I myself am concerned, I have always been intrigued by Angelina, and like so many others will also tell you, Brad kinda fell off my radar after he married Aniston. He didn’t really do anything interesting career-wise while he was with her with the exception of Fight Club, so I quit paying attention to him. I fell in absolute love with Brad Pitt after I saw Interview With the Vampire and Legends of the Fall, but he lost his appeal to me when he hooked up with that ugly boring TV girl. I was disappointed, because I thought he would be attracted to someone more dynamic than that….and I don’t mean looks, either. Ever seen any of Aniston’s interviews? She has NOTHING to say, a real snoozer. Paltrow was at least interesting. Jen A always seemed a poor match for him to me. When Mr and Mrs Smith came out, he was suddenly hot again, and IMO has stayed that way. It took a real woman to light him back up.

As for what I witnessed on the internet from both groups of fans, I would say it has split both their old fans, but gained a whole legion of new ones for them as a couple.

I think most of Brad’s true fans are happy for him, but there is a small group of his old fans whom I would say seem angry at him or even downright bitter over the changes in his life. The most extreme of course being those heifers over at Female First. Buncha sickos, they are. To a lesser extent, take one of the main fan sites for Brad that existed before his divorce, Bradforums. It was once a pretty active site with alot of posters, conversations about his movies and personal appearances, interviews, and it has now devolved into 2 posters talking to each other. Everyone has bailed. No longer a place to go for latest news at all. The people who run it put everyone off by pretty much refusing to acknowledge Angelina’s place in his life, calling her a mere “costar” in a sub-sub section that is difficult to find and having a section “Brad and Children” without Angelina (you can’t even post Angelina’s pictures with the kids in that section). From my standpoint, the owners of that site seemed determined NOT to embrace Brad’s choice of life partner, and their dislike for her is obvious. That’s fine, they don’t have to like her, but I find it curious that they were practically willing to sacrifce the site altogether rather than give Angelina a place there.

Angelina also has a group of hardcore fans who pine for the “old Angelina” they like to call her. They want their wild bisexual poster child back, lament that Brad has ruined her, or wonder when she will come to her senses and come back to them.

These are the fans that, frankly, I feel they can afford to lose. People change, and anyone who wants somebody else they admire to forever stay the same just so they can be the object of their own emotional projections doesn’t really care about that person in the first place. Brad and Angie have gained many more and much more by coming together and making a family than they lost.

Question, I can only speak for myself, but I was a Brad fan first, who found his marriage annoying, and as it progressed puzzling because of the odd statements he and his wife- at -the -time were making about marriage and one another, the long periods of time they were apart, etc. I found Angie intriguing, beautiful, and honest, etc. but wasn’t so much a fan as an observer. I think I got it when I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and they were so unbelievably perfect, gorgeous, etc. I actually wanted them to be together, before they were, and I wanted him to be with her for the sheer romance they created. Finding Just Jared was the result of being eager to find news about them. Here were all these other people just like Me! Rooting for them, defending them, and as time went on, railing against the former wife for the way she was using the situation to garner sympathy, publicity, etc. They were meant to be, and they represent Romance and What’s Right with Celebrity.

China, you did a fantastic job. Congratulations!

There is a Ralph Lauren add in the magazines with the outfits for the US Olympians. The men are wearing the newsboy caps. Did they wear them in previous games, or is this new? I never paid attention to that detail before.

To answer the question posed by “Question” about Brad possibly getting together with someone else and how we would feel, well geez, nobody has a crystal ball…I can’t speculate that far off the reality of the here and now. At this point, I can’t imagine either Brad or Angie as besotted with anyone else as they seem to be with each other. What “an oldie” had to say makes sense, though. Brad already knew Nicole as Tom’s wife, so I don’t think she had the power to blow him away the same way Angelina did.

Plus, I have a soft spot for Nicole. I may be totally wrong, but I think the way Tom ended their marriage was deplorable. She was pregnant and lost the baby because of it, and he has all but surgically removed her from the lives of her children with him. Scientology has totally sucked all the hot out of Tom, right along with his sense of humor and any social skills he may have once had. I miss the old Tom, the Tom of Rainman, Far and Away and Interview With the Vampire. The Tom of Nicole is gone forever, and the Nicole of Tom is also gone. She has aged, and she looks haggard. I am guessing she has alot of secrets she can’t talk about and they are eating her up. I feel she, and not Jen A, is probably much more deserving of all the out-pouring of public sympathy. Again, maybe I am wrong, but I feel Nicole got the fuzzy end of the lolipop with Tom. AND she is all wrong for Brad. Nicole was too crushed and broken at that time, and I have a feeling Brad didn’t want no damsel in distress. He’s already had too many women with baggage they couldn’t cope with and he sure didn’t need another one.

Yeah, yeah, Angelina definitely has baggage, but she doesn’t dwell in the past and ascribes to the school of pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. That very characteristic is probably the very thing that drew Brad in and made him want to be closer to Angie. She is strong and independent, and she wasn’t looking for a shoulder to cry on. If she had presented herself as some wounded, bruised flower, there would likely be no “Brangelina” (Damn, I hate that term) at all. Brad would have run! haha!!

I think I am in the majority when I say that I never understand the Brad and X connection.

I am still watching the Opening Ceremony (West Coast time). I can tell how proud the Chinese are. It makes me remember what Angelina said at Cannes when she was asked about the Beijing Olympics. She said she was torn, because of the controversies about Darfur, and yet, it should be a proud moment for the Chinese children. I really like her answer. Watching the ceremony tonight, I can understand what she meant.

I can’t speak for Brad’s fans, but I will put in my 2 cents. I was more interested in NK than in any of the 3 people involved in the triangle. But I am now fascinated with Brad and Angelina because I am a sucker for romance. Somehow I perceive what Brad has for Angelina is a very strong love. I got hooked up after I saw MaMS. I saw how BP fell in love and it has fascinated me ever since. So for me it was the fascination with the lovestory, not particularly with who it was. Had Brad fell hard for NK, I would have been fascinated the same. But we already know that he had already met her as Mrs TC, so that spontaneous feeling probably would not be there. The fact that AJ is so beautiful and has a heart of gold only makes my fascination worse. And adding their beautiful and fun kids to the lot, that’s why I am here blogging, while I could be reading a book. LOL.

Nice. Very funny, “an oldie”.

In my case, I didn’t really follow the careers & personal lives of both Angie & Brad in the past. Although, everytime I saw Angie movies, she struck me as very intense & very good actress with not-the-typical-hollywood looks. Very attractive. With Brad, I only knew him before due to his very popular hooking-up with Gwenette Paltrow. So when their engagement was cut off for the reason I didn’t know that time, I was sad a bit. Then, i was more sad when he married X, told myself, “Oh, why?!!, Oh no!!!”. I found myself very surprised with my reaction. Few years after, I read in the news that a certain movie called Mr. & Mrs. Smith was going to be made & I easily like the plot or the gist of the story. I wondered then who would be the stars to take the lead roles. Few months later, i was feeling very excited upon knowing that Brad & Angie were the final choices. So even before MAMS shooting started, I was l already looking forward to watch this movie. Then the movie was shown in 2005 & saw a certain kind of beautiful chemistry I’ve never seen before in any other movies, a chemistry that put a smile on my face even on my way home after watching MAMS. Instantly, I became their fan as an on-screen team, even wishing that they were a couple in real life, but only regretting with the thought that Brad is married (although I’ve heard stories of troubles in his marriage). Then, rumors came up re brad’s marriage splitting up & the Brad-Angie hooking-up. I didn’t believe about the hooking-up part but I did on the splitting-up. At the back of my mind, if they would be an item in real life, i knew that it would only be when Brad is separated from X. Then, few months after, I began seeing candid pictures of them together. They didn’t confirm their relationship but my heart was already jumping with joy, and that since then I regularly read about this beautiful couple in the internet. I also begun reading about their lives in the past. At present, the more i read about them especially Angie, the more I like them even more. I have more respect for them more than ever before.

Jill, I don’t know about her being sad, but I will say she is the most over-dressed child I have ever seen! haha!!

And Katie, stop it. I can smell your twisted excitiement about a family breaking up reeking off your post. For one thing, People did not say Brad is going off and leaving Angie. It didn’t happen. That came from a tabloid. PT reported it in her tabloid rundown. The last time Brad went anywhere without Angie or one of the children was before Angie went in the hospital and he went to the Radiohead concert. I would also go so far as to say that was probably at Angie’s urging, too. She might have wanted him to be able to get out and have a little fun before they had days and weeks of being cooped up in the hospital with her on bedrest.

And rings? You are full of it. Neither Brad nor Angie has ever worn any rings with any consistency for their whole relationship. They don’t have any rings, so your shitstirring isn’t going to work. Go sell it somewhere else.

I have to admit, at the beginning of Brad and Angie’s relationship I thought it was just for good sex and would end by the end of the summer 2005. I was cool with that. Then I read that Brad was adopting her children and I was taken aback. Brad, adopting? WTF??? He never seemed like a guy interested in adoption. I thought Brad would have all his children biologically. So I was thinking, this is going way too fast its not going to last, what the hell is Brad doing, hes gone insane hasnt he? The divorce has made him mad. Then I find out Angelina is pregnant??? Whattt? Angelina, the person who said she didnt think she would ever have a bio baby and was content on adopting all her kids. Pregnant?? Thats when I thought, Okay now its serious, it was more than just good sex. I think this couple is forever. They just make it work. Superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in talks with a local promoter to host a charity event during the Democratic National Convention Aug. 25-28. My source said the Jolie-Pitt folks are in “conversations” with an unnamed Denver doer, and are nailing down specifics, including the location. Wonder if they’ll bring the twins.

Meanwhile, what I do know for sure is that The Fray will be performing during a private gathering of U.S. senators Aug. 25 at The Church nightclub, 1160 Lincoln. The Church also will host the Grammy Foundation’s private party with star-studded entertainment from Everclear, Daughtry and The Flobots…. :)

China did an outstanding job. It made me cry. Yes cry. The cerecomies were beyond beautiful. I hate that there is also bad news coming in. Someone was attached; the attacker killed himself. I have a few things to say regarding Brad/Angie…

Brad Pitt is and will always be one of the sexist men alive. He has gotten better with age. His career has endured for almost 20 years. How many actors have that kind of staying power. There are so many “men of the minute” out there now. Time will weed out them soon enough. Brad is well respected and everyone want to work with him. I love that someone earlier posted the comments of Courteney Cox.. I really appreciated her honesty during the break up of Brad/Jen. She was one of the closest people in that relationship, and loves Jen a great deal..yet she did not say anything against Brad. She has stated that this is a good man, I think if you read between the lines you will see that she knew that it was a 50/50 thing. It takes two people to “Make It” and two people to “Break It”. Jen chose not to fight for her marriage and did not want to stay knowing that Brad had feelings for someone else. Even though (and I believe this is true, that he did not act on those feelings). As far as his career, I think his movie choices are not more diverse and deeper. He has grown as an actor, and I love the choices he is now making. The actors who have worked with him have only good things to say. I trust their comments, more than the Tabs. Brad seems tired and happy. It is obvious that he loves Angie a great deal. They have a great connection and it shows when he looks and speaks to and of her.

Angelina Jolie: Lets face it, she is a goddess. She has been so honest about her life. Perhaps too much so. She has shown the world her scars and blemishes. There are not many actors who would have done the same. I have looked on You tube and found interviews where actors like Clint and Anthony Hopkins have spoken so highly of her talent and beauty. She has been compared to the great actresses of yesterday. The camera loves her. She shines and sometimes her light is too much for some to stand. I love that she had the idea that she would go through this world alone… Then she met Brad, and realized that she had found someone whom she could build a life. Guess what she grew up. She became a mother , and like soo many before her, she knew that she had to become someone her son and ultimately her other children could look up to. And like it or not, that is exactly what she is doing.

I was more an Angelina than a Brad fan, although I didn’t follow her very closely either. I simply admired her pluck, her willingness to be honest, to make choices outside the box and to claim her mistakes. When she adopted Maddox she just seemed to blossom and truly evolve into a woman, an even more beautiful one at that.

I liked Brad too, but he appeared to be immersed in the typical Hollywood lifestyle and was therefore uninteresting to me. Who knows what he was really like during those years, but his hook ups did nothing to alter that perception.

My perception of Brad after MAMS has dramatically changed. All his actions - his gentlemanly and steadfast silence on the breakup of his marriage, the decisive and romantic way he went after his dream woman, the way he committed to Maddox and subsequently,all their children, his hands on fathering, his charities, the way he looks after and protects his family - all these actions show a man whose light was previously hidden.

I appreciate and admire Brad now and feel he and Angelina have fulfilled each other’s needs beautifully.
