Brad Pitt is Officially an Inglorious Bastard

Brad Pitt has officially signed onto Quentin Tarantino’s World War II action-drama Inglorious Bastards, sources have confirmed.

The 44-year-old actor will play a Southern rebel who assembles a team of eight prisoners-turned-soldiers to battle the Nazis.

Production for the film is set to begin on Oct. 13 in Germany. Tarantino, who wrote the script, is aiming to complete the film and have it ready for next year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and B.J. Novak are also in talks to join the project.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Brad as an Inglorious Bastard?

BREAKING NEWS
MSNBC
updated 5 minutes ago

Soul singer and musician Isaac Hayes has died, according to Memphis TV station WMC-TV. He was 65.

The station’s Web site attributes the report to Shelby County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Shular, saying a sheriff’s deputy was called to Hayes’ home after the singer’s wife found him on the floor near a treadmill.

WMC-TV goes on to say Hayes was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08am. An investigation into the death is continuing, the station says.
Hayes was also known to millions as the voice of soulful cafeteria worker Chef on the animated “South Park.” He left the show in 2006 after a dispute over the show’s treatment of Scientology. Hayes had been a Scientologist since the mid 1990s

You are so right about living life to the fullest.I think in life we regret the things we DIDN’T do, more than the things that we did do.Time waits for no one!

She is 47 year old German actress and she is gorgeous. She hasn’t worked with U.S’s directors in ages. I can’t remember her films. But she is an attractive woman.
I just read that the movie’s language will be German and French with subtitle and only Brad and his team will speak English.

Here is a picture of young nastassja kinski. She is gorgeous.

I cannot imagine these guys NOT attending Bernie’s funeral. I think the idea that they would want to pay tribute to him and support his family will be important. I think they will be there. People go to funerals for their friends, famous or not. Clooney was a pallbearer for his aunt, etc.

Time waits for no one! That goes in my book of words to live by! Thank you. Too many say I’ll do that down the road, maybe next year. We may not have that. One of the reasons I appreciate the JP’s so much is they are so very in the present, doing what makes their family happy and gives them joy in life without hurting others. Which brings me to my new troll rule, don’t know if you noticed.. one reply then I go do something else, so as not to get into a protracted argument with a person who has nothing better to do than suck the joy out of others fun time and bash a family that does no harm! Glad your enjoying you Sunday, it’s my favorite day…

sometimes these haters are good for updates.apparently they cast more people in the movie.I like Simon Pegg.

The full cast for Quentin Tarantino’s WWII flick Inglorious ******** is starting to come together. Not long after Variety announced that Brad Pitt was officially onboard to play a “Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers to take on the Nazis,” word has come out that Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and Nastassja Kinski are all in talks to join the picture. The Office’s B.J. Novak is already in talks as well, and he and Krumholtz sign on, they’ll be playing “Pitt’s underlings.” ….

Hi Jolie Pitt fans.

Very sad about Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes.

In the special issue People magazine, Mac’s rep said he was responding well to treatment and would be released soon.It must have been a terrible shock for his family.

Isaac Hayes was the man back in the 70’s. He was a true artist. His sound was well composed, soulful and spoke to the feelings of that time.

Angelina Jolie’s Endorsement
It may seem as if most entertainment industry figures are aligning with Barack Obama and just a few with John McCain, but there are still a handful of famous names who are still on the fence. And both campaigns are well aware of one star who stands out among the undecideds: Angelina Jolie.

Both campaigns have reached out to her, apparently to court her support. But in a statement to Variety provided by political adviser Trevor Neilson, Jolie says that she is waiting to make up her mind.

“I have not decided on a candidate,” Jolie says, “I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world.”

Unlike many other celebrity endorsements, Jolie’s carries the weight and influence of her extensive humanitarian work around the world, as the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Her statement was an indication that she would be open to choosing a candidate.

That was in evidence earlier this year after her trip to Iraq, when she wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post, “Staying to Help in Iraq,” in which she argued that the U.S. should step up financial and material assistance to Iraq — not withdraw from its commitment in the region.

She wrote, “My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis.

“Today’s humanitarian crisis in Iraq — and the potential consequences for our national security — are great. Can the United States afford to gamble that 4 million or more poor and displaced people, in the heart of Middle East, won’t explode in violent desperation, sending the whole region into further disorder?”

“What we cannot afford, in my view, is to squander the progress that has been made.”

She did, however, “call on each of the presidential candidates and congressional leaders to announce a comprehensive refugee plan with a specific timeline and budget as part of their Iraq strategy.”

Her call for a continued U.S. presence left some conservative blogs buzzing that Jolie may in fact endorse McCain — after some had just assumed that she would back Obama.

Jolie has said very little about the presidential race since.

In June, when Entertainment Weekly asked her whether she talked politics with Clint Eastwood, a longtime Republican, on the set of the upcoming movie, “The Changeling,” she said, “Actually, we don’t disagree as much as you’d think. I think people assume I’m a Democrat. But I’m registered independent and I’m still undecided. So I’m looking at McCain as well as Obama.”

Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, has endorsed McCain and recently wrote an op-ed for the Washington Times highly critical of Obama.

Wow I can not get over the haters. hey just keep hanging on to their crazy , hateful thoughts. I have not read the comments to the threads for about a month and to be perfectly honest I have been much happier. The only thoughts I get are my own and I love the JP’s and their family. So if you don’t read the comments to the threads you don’t have to listen to the jealouse haters, who still live in the past. Long live Brad and Angie . Move forward people!!!!! Please.

a fan . There are racist all over the globe, not just the US. Every nation has them.

groundcontrol @ 08/10/2008 at 6:16 pm

I guess Isaac has gone home to Xenu.

It’s rather disconcerting that there are people so oyung they don;t know Kinski. She was Tess in Roman Polanski’s Tess (as in Tess of the d’Urbervilles).

And there may be nothing that says cool from the mostly awful 70s than Isaac Hayes’ Theme from Shaft.

I am happily awaiting Tarantino’s take on a WWII nazi killing gang of crazies. It should be like being on acid without the acid.

Weinstein films since they established The Weinstein Company:

Derailed (2005) (The studio’s first release)
========================

This explains why Weinstein was quoted in People, prior to the movie release, as saying that JA is in the league of actresses like Gwen Paltrow, Hillary Swank, Halle Berry, and NK. (And no mention, mind you, of AJ, like to say she doesn’t belong in that selective list). When I read that I had to raise my eye brows so much it saved me from a face lift which is still good to this day. HW should be banned from making any talent list. LOL.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

ROTFLMAO. Are you kidding me? Harvey Weinstein actually said that about X? He put her in the same category as FOUR OSCAR winners? Fat and stupid. That’s Harvey. If you ever needed proof that some people will say or do anything for a buck…then this is it.

alexanderina @ 08/10/2008 at 6:35 pm

First it was Bernie Mac and now Isaac Hayes. So sad. My prayers and thoughts goes out to his family. R.I.P. Isaac Hayes

# 542 dina #1 @ 08/10/2008 at 5:29 pm

Thanks dina #1 for posting, good for Angie and like Angie I haven’t decided on who I am going to support in this election either. I really don’t get some of their views or what they stand for, way to much flip flopping on both sides, but still have a few months to decide though, so maybe one candidate views would become clearer.
