Brad Pitt is Officially an Inglorious Bastard
Brad Pitt has officially signed onto Quentin Tarantino’s World War II action-drama Inglorious Bastards, sources have confirmed.
The 44-year-old actor will play a Southern rebel who assembles a team of eight prisoners-turned-soldiers to battle the Nazis.
Production for the film is set to begin on Oct. 13 in Germany. Tarantino, who wrote the script, is aiming to complete the film and have it ready for next year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and B.J. Novak are also in talks to join the project.
WHAT DO YOU THINK of Brad as an Inglorious Bastard?

Good Afternoon Neleh ,been tired had to give my right arm a day off the PC. I seem to be the only one with this issue, but sometimes my arm gets tired, and my neck gets stiff :) So I been walking more (not as hot) and missing all the fun :) Thanks for asking Neleh. Hi to the rest of the gang MF, irma, anoble, mondo bongo, dina#1 felinelilly, bermy girl, vickifromtexas, bdj, all the JP’s fans online and off, I really enjoyed the article about the naturalness and authenticity of Angie and Brad in the People pictorial that bdj posted. That magazine is is a gift that keeps on giving, I enjoy it whenever I look at it, and its like the first time, each time. TGIF to everyone and jared thanks for the new thread.

Too funny. I glad you read the articles. I try to bring something extra to the threads. Make it Right is BP’s project in New Orleans. I like to keep the fans updated on its progress. Not on Our watch is also an organization founded by BP and Clooney. I like to emphasis their humanitarian work. However, keep reading, because I will keep updating. Diversify is good. It is not always about hair and casual style. Peace to ya.

….brad - might be good… but the movie…uh, probably wont.

I think it’s funny that people think he’s a good actor. He plays brad pitt every time. He makes a lot of hand gestures to distract from the horrible acting.
This movie will be amazing. I will see it for sure.
Speak of the devil…whew!…while I was away at lunch, I saw a lady who was the spittin image of Sam Jackson in pulp fiction…hahaha…wtf!…hahaha…from now and forevah, anybody with a bad wig will be called pulp fiction…hahahahahaha
oops ” I’m glad, It should state. I was lurking and saw the post “to bdj”. Who me? Also, scroll is a good option. I do it a lot with the hens. Back to the grind. Peace to all.
good morning to all of the BAMPZSKV fans. I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday. So much good news from the JP camp. Trolls and haters no know peace.
Hey Nelah, you are sweet.
dragonfly, ITAWY. And piper with a low you were thinking the samething I was thinking. I said the View has been off all week therefore we haven’t heard any comments from them.
But this morning on CNN’ American Morning they had some man who called himself a comic and was there to comment on the week in pop. This man was so gross, stupidly vulgar he made DL Hugly look refreshingly smart. He had a really gross comment about Paris Hilton.
Then he was asked about Brad and Angie. He was insulting to the children and not funny. You know you are not funny when the only person laughing at your jokes is you. He wasn’t laughing as much as looking for approval from the anchors. He has shot his wad and will probably never be invited back. I was embarrassed. Not for him just embarrassed.
Piper, I never really watched the View that much. All of that talking over each other drove me crazy. I sort of watch it just for the hot topics. But Elizebeth drives me crazy. And Meredith Viera when she was on always seemed to be rather cold. Even on the Today Show she seems like a rather cold and distant person. Of course she would not care for AJ. AJ is everything she isn’t. X would be more her cup of tea.
When some people are confronted with beauty that is natural, no make up, no plastic surgery, no props it is difficult for them to comprehend and accept. Especially in HW where most things are artificial and false.
It is the same with love. When confronted with love that is not contrived or based on some false pr gimmik, and it just leaps out at you this can be rather disconcerting. This is not what was expected. The mind wants to deny that it is real. And the senses try not to feel what they are feeling.
To deal with this confluence of unexpected emotions one becomes cynical and supposes that it is not real. Because that much naturalness, warmth, joy and beauty couldn’t exist in one family. But he doesn’t understand is that he is talking about the joliepitt family. Joy to the joliepitts. Peace
neleh, hi i hope you are having a great day. hugs.
So tonight I sat down and finally watched a film I’d been meaning to get to for some time — Paul Verhoeven’s superior 2006 WWII drama BLACK BOOK. It’s the best work Verhoeven has done in years and hearkens back to the beginnings of his career, when he made the exceptional SOLDIER OF ORANGE.
But as I watched, I began to see some strangely familiar things, and I found myself unsettled. Having read QT’s INGLORIOUS ******** script a while back, I realized that QT has not only seen this film, but that’s he’s blatantly stolen nearly all of its major plot points and central characters. While QT’s always been known to borrow, this edges on outright plagiarism.
Here are the highlights (and there are plenty more):
• Jewish girl on the run from the Nazis escapes by the skin of her teeth after witnessing her family’s brutal murders.
• Her family machine gunned down by Nazis led by an evil Jew Hunter named Günther (Landa).
• She accidentally gets entangled with an SS Officer who is connected with higher up Nazis and, coincidentally, Günther…
• She uses her relationship with the SS Officer to help plan a sabotage with her gang of resistance fighters.
• She attends a big party with the very man who killed her family.
• She throws up after seeing Günther the man who killed her family. (Shoshana pisses herself)
• She has her true love Hans (Marcel), but finds a strange affinity for the SS Officer Müntz…
• Günther (Landa) plans his selfish escape, deserting the Nazis. His plan is ruined by the resistance. (Just like Landa’s gift from Aldo.)
As shown, the similarities are too striking to be ignored — the specifics speak for themselves. BLACK BOOK was released in 2006, a full two years before QT’s IB script hit the market, and though he’s become fond of saying that he’s had the script in mind for over a decade, it’s perfectly clear that the bulk of it was written after seeing Verhoeven’s exceptional film.
I really hope someone somewhere someday calls him on this.

DON’T BE FOOLISH. BRAD HAS PLAYED SO MANY DIFFERENT CHARACTERS, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR HIM TO HAVE PLAY HIMSELF EVERY TIME.
lol @ 08/08/2008 at 1:34 pm,
…hmmm, ok. eat-a-dcik. and nɛver paste my name again.
Brad is a great actor. He is underestimated. Fantastic performance in Snatch, 12 Monkey, Babel, Jesse James. There is already an Oscar buzz for his acting in CCOBB. I can’t wait to see that movie. I am sure he will do a great job in IB. I feel TOL and IB will generate Oscar buzz also.

Tom and Brad both horrible actors but I can’t wait to see Tom in Tropic Thunder.
yeah, Brad’s Tree of Life and IB will go to Cannes Film Festival next year. We will see them rock the red carpet of Cannes.
…oscar buzz?…must be the same bees…hahahahah…bzzzz…hahaha
I’m sure he going to be great in that character, does anyone know how much they’re paying him?
Southern rebel, haha, all the other articles say he is playing a hillbilly. I guess JJ had to change that for all the loooooonnnnnnnieees…………
Perfect part for him.

DEAD CENTRAL, you need to get your information to the press all over! Send it to lots of papers, if it is true, this is a scandal! But you better have this accusation backed up!
Hello mag just arrived in NYC today. One extra photo (first shot) which People didn’t have, but I like the pic of Brad and the boys better in People (two-page spread) than in Hello, which made it only half a page. Otherwise, both issues are gorgeous.
People is selling out as fast as it comes in.

Plagiarism in films is nothing new; the movies are full of it. Take a look at “The Magnificent Seven” sometime, which is a blatant rip-off of Akira Kurosawa’s “The Seven Samurai”. Kurosawa’s film is a bajillion times better than Mag 7. There was another western (I forget the name) that was also a bad rip-off of Kurosawa’s film “Rashomon”. And that Bridget Fonda movie “Point of No Return” that was a crummy rip-off of “La Femme Nikita”.
American directors are always plagiarizing foreign films and the copycats are never as good as the originals.
John Edwards Admits to Having an Affair
By Stephen M. Silverman

After repeated denials that he was involved in an extramarital relationship, former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards has confirmed that he indeed did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, though he denies that he loved her.
Speaking to ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff in an interview scheduled to air Friday on Nightline, Edwards cited the timing of Rielle’s baby’s Feb. 27, 2008 birth as proving he is not the father, because the affair with Hunter had ended, he said. He has not submitted to a paternity test.
Former campaign aide Andrew Young has claimed paternity of the child.
Friends of Hunter tell ABC that she and Edwards met in 2006 at a New York City bar, and she received $114,000 from his political action committee to produce Web site documentaries for the Edwards
