Jessica Simpson Ignites Indiana
Jessica Simpson performs at the 2008 Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, Indiana on Thursday.
The 28-year-old singer sang several songs from her latest album, and also covered Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man” and John Michael Montgomery’s “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).”
Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, was escorted by seven state troopers when he walked through the members of the audience.

Jessica looks really good here. I love her outfit especially her belt. Her hair looks real cute pulled back, and she seems to be having a great time. How could you prefer Ashlee over her? Yes, they are both cute, but I think Jessica has a little more talent.

Jessica used to be so fashionable and put together. Now she looks like a hick w/ zero style. Just because you’re singing country doesn’t mean you have to dress like a country bumpkin from the south. Go back to being the cute Jess we all know and love!
Isn’t her waist line think around the middle. So I see why Jennifer Aniston was running around town in little cut off shorts. Jen is up set that John Mayer had a serious thing for Jessica, even keeping Jess love letters. Jessica is working her way out of a hole from dating John Mayer while Jennifer is sinking into the same hole that Jess fell into. You date Mayer and you career start sucking.
Doing state fairs now? Heh.
Jen and Jessica’s careers started sucking LONG before John Mayer came along. If anything they ruined his career.

I read on another site that Tony Romo still calls Carrie but she doesnt answer. Does that mean Tony dumped Jessica and is trying to get back with Carrie? Tony was foolish to let Carrie go so I hope Carrie keeps denying his calls. Who wants Tony after hes been with Chestica? Carrie deserves and will find someone better.

She looks very pretty here, but I still dont buy her as a country artist. Shes just another pop star who’s career went down the drain and turned to the only other platform she could think of: country.

I agree with Amber. When her country album fails, and it will, she will turn to rap music and when rap doesnt go well, it will be polka and the cycle continues until she touches base on all genres. She is a joke, nobody takes her seriously. I heard she only drew 4thousand people of a venue that holds 15thousand. What does that tell you? People dont want to hear her. She’s finished. What is funny is she thought she was going to be this huge star after her divorce and it came to bite her in the butt.

why does her daddy have to be every where she goes? Jessuz, she’s a grown woman, and should be managing her own business…even when it fails. He’s sooo annoying…all the SIMPSONs are!!!
I’m feeling really sorry for this girl lately. She tries soooo hard, it’s pathetic. You don’t even see real (lifelong) country singers dressing this bumpkinish… Her desperation is really embarrassing to watch.
And to think a few years ago she was the total it girl.
That outfit belongs on someone slim. Jessica is too fat for that shirt it looks like the buttons are about to pop. I read people were walking out of the concert and her voice was too painful some were covering their ears.
