Jessica Simpson Ignites Indiana
Jessica Simpson performs at the 2008 Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, Indiana on Thursday.
The 28-year-old singer sang several songs from her latest album, and also covered Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man” and John Michael Montgomery’s “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).”
Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, was escorted by seven state troopers when he walked through the members of the audience.

#43 Lindsey - I totally agree with you! I do marketing for another footwear company (not Jessica’s) and it’s a well known fact that her line is performing phenomenally for licensee Vince Camuto. I think it’s time she maybe start putting her efforts into her more successful endeavors like footwear, clothing and accessories and throw in the towel on the singing career. As much as I’d like to see her make a comeback, I just don’t think it’s going to happen.
There was a sample of her scent Fancy perfume in Glamour Magazine. Gross!! It smells like cotton candy, I swear! No one will but this crap.
Somehow I think I’ll prefer the Dusty Springfield version of “son of a preacher man”. Dusty is one of the best singers ever!!!
Why do a cover when you know the new version can’t compare? It just seems stupid.
She’s playing state fairs!?! LMAO. This chick just needs to get knocked up and move back down south and stop singing. She is obviously going no where anymore, she’s playing state fairs for god sake. Pathetic.
#54 For your info so is Carrie Underwood. She sang two days later.
Ignited the State Fair? Really is that because the townspeople were chasing her out for sucking? Go to you tube and check out her singing at the Fair. When she makes her comments to be real to the people it is pretty much the same **** she was saying in Wisconsin! “This song is about my boyfriend, who throws a football” she is beyond stupid! Her gestures are all the seem and claming around like a hores isn’t dancing.
Glad so many commented on my pictures. Now I just have to go get the thieves that are using my pictures without payout a licensing fee.
So many websites just steal pictures, and post them. This site is legit, and posts pictures legally.
