Lauren Conrad Bumps Bloomingdale’s

Lauren Conrad signs autographs and poses with her fans at a Bloomingdale’s store in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Hills star attended a signing session where a couple of hundred mostly teenage girls turned up to have their photograph taken with her, and have her sign magazines with her image on them.

Lauren, 22, recently gave $10,000 and her Teen Choice Award surfboard to a 13-year-old leukemia patient. Pat Pedraja, who lost a shot at a $100,000 grand prize in this year’s Do Something Contest, was given $10,000 and an iPod, courtesy of Conrad.

Not only is her clothing line one of the worst and most uninspiring clothing lines I’ve ever seen, she also recycles the same outfits designers did YEARS ago. It’s like she’s afraid to take risks. She only got far in fashion because of that crappy show.

What a super and awesome thing for her to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who cares about what her clothes look like when a celebrity does something as thoughtful and caring as that. Speaking as a mother who lost a son to Leukemia I know how much these things mean to a child. The World!!! And you never forget it, no matter who the person is. She is a sweetheart!!!!!!!!!!!! That was a special award for her.

she looks greattt!!

That was so nice of her..

I met this boy and her the night of the pre-party. He is an amazing young man and was so honored to have her introduce him at the pre party well she was floored by his works- he drove across america in a bus to raisw arareness about the lack of minorities on the marrow donor list and when i heard she gave him her award i cried because it meant so much to him to even get to meet her and i love that in her acceptance speech she said ,,, this isnt about the celebrities it is about the kids out there doing something in the world. Dosomething.org sponsored the award he was nominated for and you can go there to find more information on him as well as ways to help his cause. i am glad to hear that there are still caring celebs in this world.

she gave him 10,000? wow isint she just great! considering she has millions of dollars she has barely earned, you’d think she culda given him more!

TIA!?!?!
If you think she gave him too little, where is your donation?

What a shame that she lives on the hills but hasn’t fallen off a cliff. Aren’t her 15 minutes over? Thanks MTV. You’re not showing music vids anymore but creating celebretards instead. You’re called music television not reality bstv.

believe me! if i had the kind of money she has id be donating a heck of alot more!!!

She looks so pretty. I love the top she is wearing and cannot wait until it is available for purchase.

I really don’t like this girl, but what she did for the 13 year old was pretty cool. I respect her for doing that.

overrated! thats what she is….i mean, u really think it was that big of a deal for her to give away 10,000? thats pocket change for her!

So what, 10000 is not enough but at least she did something, those complaining it’s not enough, have you donated money to any a charity, this month/year. She didn’t have to donate that money but she did, yall should shut up and move on. I can’t hate on someone who tries to do good, I just can’t.

Ok, so I googled the guy’s name and found his website. I just donated 52 dollars, hey at least I did something.

Tia shut the hell up with that negative mess. This isn’t about Lauren, it’s about the boy suffering from leukemia. Stop being so ignorant.

ok for all you people that are too ignorant to know
the 10,000 she donated is significant because that was what he recieved from do something
so all of you who are saying she didnt donate enough research what he has done and this will help him along so much
this boy is amazing and this isnt about LC’s clothing line being overpriced so what dont buy it. Realize that there are more important things in the world how much you hate a clothing line. LC should be praised for giving not trashed for not giving what you think is enough.

I’m reading some of the comments here and honestly I’m livid right now. Why don’t you take time and educate yourself before typing ignorant comments. I went to Pat’s website after reading this story on People online and was amazed by his work. I’m 22 years old and didn’t do half of what he is doing now when I was is age, trust me, I have a lot of respect for Pat and his cause. Jane, I also donated some money, I just couldn’t leave his website without donating. Kudos to LC.

Who is this girl? I do a lot of volunteer work for St Jude’s Hospital so I know the amazing things her donation can be used for. I’m glad she is making a difference.
