Camila Alves Makes MUXO Handbags
Model and designer Camila Alves unveils her ultra lux handbag line MUXO, meaning “Goddess of the Water” in African, at LA’s trendy Kitson Studio on Thursday.
Hand crafting each bag themselves using the finest Brazilian leathers and hardware, Camila works with her mom to create the designs. MUXO is associated with Stand Up To Cancer and will soon be releasing a SU2C handbag.
Last month, Camila and Matthew McConaughey had their first child together, and named him Levi.
“[Levi] was gonna stay home but then he said, ‘Dad, mom, I wanna go support mom’s purses,’” Matthew joked with ET. “At 30 days old he’s talking about stuff like that!”

I’m African, a Kenyan to be more specific and I don’t speak “African”. As a matter of fact, I don’t know of any other Africans who speak “African”. I speak Swahili as well as my tribal language. Jared, it would be in your best interests to change that sentence. You sound ignorant as hell.

‘African’ is not a language as many have said. Also, people make the incredibly ignorant mistake of saying that there are no languages in Africa, just “dialects”… Dialects of what? Languages there are as different as Tagalog and Mandarin, Farsi and Hindi etc.

All that matters is that Matthew likes the way she looks and she likes the way he looks. Are you guys dumb, Brazil is not a Latin country it is more of a Afro-European country; about 97% of Brazilian people have some African ancestry.

Also, African is not a language, Africa is a CONTINENT(not country) that consist of different dialects. What’s to expect from American kids however. Then don’t go wondering why the rest of the world hates the United States when there’s a bunch of idiots who lack education about other countries; people’s cultures.
Another thing, “Latin” people are people from Ancient Rome and that area! Goodness, the ignorance is perpetual. People of Brasil consist of the European RACE, African RACE, Asian RACE, and the Indigenous people. Brazileans and people of “Latin America” aren’t a RACE, they’re a CULTURE that consist of the races I mentioned above.
It’s not that Camila is uggly, she is. It’s not that those bags are stupid, they are. I hope she has a plan B
