The 26-year-old singer has just done a spot for MTV’s Video Music Awards with first-time host, Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall).
This comes a year after Brit-Brit’s uninspired performance during the 2007 MTV Music Awards.
“Britney looked really good,” says a source. “It was improvisational questions and answers with Russell Brand just like [other promo guest stars] LL Cool J and Pete Wentz did. Russell joked about there being sexual tension, and Britney shot back, ‘I don’t feel the tension’. The other joke was about no one knowing who Russell was so she called him by the wrong name. LL called him Russell Bland and Britney called him Russell Brown.”

Do you all understand the huge difference between being nothing but a Disney project - formed by them and ran by them for almost your entire career if not longer and starting out at Disney then it ends. She got her own record contract which was not with Hollywood Records years later.
alina, a bit chunky? really? Idk what you see but I see a very fit and happy woman who obviously works out and has a good body or she wouldnt be getting praise for her body from magazines like Us weekly, Ok! magazine, In Touch weekly, Life and Style weekly. So HA! shes not chunky at all and she looks so happy. Yes, I noticed her sons names on her necklace and I think thats very sweet and it shows she really does care and just because you dont see her with her kids like you did earlier this year, it doesnt mean she doesnt spend time with them!
#6, it wouldnt be her 2nd time back, it would be like her 5th. She did great in 1999 performing baby one more time, then again in 2000 performing Oops I did it again, then again in 2002 she sang I’m a slave for you, in 2003 she performed with christina aguleria and madonna, in 2007 yes she gave a bad performance but she has proven in the past that shes a good performer. At the time of the 07 VMA’s she was NOT in a good place and its said she herd sarah silverman practicing her cruel disses about britney and her sons, I know its a little off topic but how can sarah live with herself knowing she called an adorable 2 year old and a 1 year old mistakes, two little children britney had in her womb for 9 months mistakes? Sarah doesnt even have her own children so she wouldnt know that experince that britney went through and the struggles of parenting! BUT I’m looking forward to seeing britney back on top and she should perform!

To answer the question in the way in which it was meant, I think it’s very big of Britney to support the network and show, which took advantage of her illness last year to gain ratings and cause more turmoil around her.
But of course Britney recognises what needs to be done in order to get back on top, and now that she’s sane again, I guess it’s her turn to take advantage of MTV. Everyone wants a piece of Britney and everyone’s dying to get the first post-insanity interview with her, and in a way it seems like she’s chosen the platform with the highest ratings for this.
Britney’s next album will be her biggest ever. I just hope it’s half as good as Blackout, which is no doubt her best material to date. I call for a re-release on that, by the way.
So, Britney Spears can dance, and she used to be able to lip sync. She’s also good looking. That is the extent of her talent. She is as famous as she is because she was marketable. She was the product of stylists and publicists and producers and writers and management. Had this been based solely on her singing, she never would have gotten off the ground.
I actually heard Blackout before the producers played with it, and it was crap. Everything that you hear that Britney has done is heavily worked over in the studio. She doesn’t sing live because she can’t. That’s not being mean, that’s just sharing the truth.
I wouldn’t be so quick to hate on these rising Disney stars, because that’s where Britney got her start. The only difference between them and Britney is that, with the media being the way that it is today, those kids get a lot more exposure than Britney did at the same age.
Let’s be completely honest here. Miley could very well be the next Britney. Look at everything that she’s achieved so far. Britney didn’t come on the scene until she was 17. Miley is just about to turn 16, and look at all that she’s accomplished. Sadly, she has a penchant for questionable pictures, but she’s younger than Britney and is quickly gaining in terms of awards and record sales. Add to that all the Hannah Montana stuff like clothing and whatnot (which Britney never had), and you’ve got an empire, just like Britney had. The only thing that we can hope at this point is that Miley has solid people in her life that won’t let her go off the deep end like Britney did.

Britney sells and the VMAs know this. It would be good IF she wants to do it this time. Last year, she didn’t. Britney is recovering well and looking great. I hope she goes out there and kicks butt!!! BEST WISHES TO BRITNEY SPEARS!!!
