OlderBrad Pitt Pays Tribute To Bernie Mac
Brad Pitt, George Clooney and other cast members of the Ocean’s trilogy have paid tribute to their co-star Bernie Mac, after his tragic death on Saturday.
Pitt said, “I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man. My thoughts are with Rhonda and their family. Bernie Mac, you are already missed.”
Clooney lamented, ”The world just got a little less funny. He will be dearly missed.”
Don Cheadle, who also starred in the Ocean’s films, added: “This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie. He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed but heaven just got funnier.”
Samuel L Jackson, who costars with Mac in Soul Men (out later this year), said, “It goes without saying that Bernie was one of the pre-eminent comedians of our generation. He was also an attentive husband, a great father and loving grandfather. I feel blessed to have shared years of friendship with Bernie Mac, and I’m honored to have finally co-starred with him in what I consider to be his finest cinematic acting achievement.”

We lost one of the best comedians of our time to Pneumonia yesterday, Bernie Mac. And now his sister Mary Ann Grossett has spoken with People.com about details of his death. Bernie’s wife of 30 years Rhonda and 30 year old daughter Je’Niece were both with him when he died. Apparently he had to be recusitated twice; once he was brought back by the doctors, then went into cardiac arrest the second time. His sister Mary Ann recalls her brother and sister-in-law’s last conversation:
[Rhonda said] ‘Don’t leave me … ‘I’m waiting for you to come back.’ He shrugged his shoulders, and she said that’s when she knew he was tired. He signaled to her that his body was tired.”

You can also read some of his celebrity friends’ words of rememberance here. The funeral services will take place August 15th in an undisclosed location. This is such a terrible loss. R.I.P. Mr. Mac.

trust me, I do blame him! I never said her reasoning wasn’t honorable, just flawed. Then again it was written before many of the things we now know came out.
Very sad to hear of this great loss. My heart goes out to his family. Sarcoidosis is a hard illness. He will be missed.

Get off this thread. You disrespectful lowlife. Berrnie Mac was a good guy who died too young and people are here to pay their condolences and maybe share memories.

The question is why are you here? FF is the gathering place for your kind of filth. Why must you scummy dregs of humanity attempt to spread your misery driven disease all the time no matter what is happening in the world? What gene mutation gave birth to such lowlifes that you possess no heart, no empathy, no ability to understand the pain normal people experience when someone dies that they know or admire?
Why why why can’t you resist just this once the compulsion to spew nothingness? How can someone as evil as you are exist who completely lacks compassion and good guys like Bernie Mac get sick and die? There is just no fairness in this world.

You can come on here and stir up all the sh*t you want, but at the end of the day Brad and Angelina are still rich, famous, in love with each other and have six beautiful children, and you are still a bitter, lonely, jealous hag, hating yourself and spewing crap all over a blog. This is so very sad. I’m glad other stars like Brad Pitt and George Clooney are acknowledging him. I hope more stars recognized him.
I heard he was an awesome husband and family man. It’s powerful for a man in Hollywood to keep the same wife for over 30 years. I heard he was also a beautiful father to his kids. He will be missed.
I love Bernie Mac.
