Katie Holmes takes her daughter Suri Cruise to see the Broadway show Mary Poppins in New York City on Saturday.
Suri, 2, has been making the Broadway rounds, seeing The Little Mermaid last week!
With little Suri over 2 now, a lot of attention has been given to her constant use of her bottle. Extended bottle-feeding may lead to speech and dental problems according to pediatricians.
WHAT DO YOU THINK about Suri’s bottle’s business — still a baby or time to grow up?

i’m not going to comment on the bottle issue - i know of plenty of 2 years old still carrying theirs around
however, taking a 2 year old to the night time show is incredibily selfish and amazingly disrespectul to the other theatre goers..there’s a reason that broadway shows have matinees - much more of a suitable time to take a 2 year old
as an adult when I go to a night time show, especially one where the tickets are 100 bucks a pop, i have an expectation that any children present are old enough to be up that late
When mine were that age, they were in bed at 7:30 …
also, have you noticed that she’s always dressed a bit formally even when her parents are in jeans…and she rarely wears a sweater or coat when out in the evening - katie & tom will have long sleeves on & even sweaters and she’s there sleeveless - wierd…
Do you think Suri is going to fondly remember one of the song and dance numbers from the show, or the terrifying crush of strangers blinding her with flashing bulbs and screaming in her face? Hope that cute PR-friendly Mommy/Daughter photo opportunity was worth it, Kate…
The fact that a two year old might have enjoyed watching the Disney video in her pajamas cuddled in bed with mom that late at night isn’t really the point. We have Tom Cruise’s public image to fix and that is the priority here, folks!
The bottle is all about the dictates of Scientology. It’s not even about her parents’ choice - except that they are allowing a whack job like Ron L. to tell parents how to raise their children and live their lives.
There is nothing worse than parents bringing children where they do not belong. Even Mary Poppins is inappropriate for a 2 year old.

You ladies why hard on Robo katie? While Jennifer Garner doing the same thing and using her daughter for PR and carrier advancement taking her out everday. It is hollywood some of you are not fair at all. Katie is at least younger. Be easy on her.
OMG, why are you so excited about Katie’s parenthood skills, Suri’s diapers & bottle and her being out so late? That’s her child and she can do whatever she wants. I don’t give a **** about them both.
Look at yourself and take care of your own children, then everyone will be happy.
Why you all hard on Katie? while Jennifer Garner takes her daughter out everday. Do you remember last year when JG doing broadway she was out everday with her daughter. Both of this actress are using their daughters for carrier advancement and PR. My point is you should be fair. Katie is not the only one.
She probably is still nursing the 2 yr old and wants to be discreet about it, so she gives her a bottle. Suri might be one of those who nurses tell she is 8. :-0

It is selfish for kate to be lugging Suri around that late at night….my son’s bedtime is at 8:00 and I like it that way since I’ve been playing and taking care of him during the day (on weekends) and I’m beat after a few hours and on weekdays, I have to wake him up at 6:00 am so I can drop him off at daycare and me go to work….I guess Suri has the luxury to sleep in and that is why she is up later…she does not look so happy to be out though. At least Jen G. and Violet seems like a happy pair and doing age-appropriate activities like going to art classes and stuff instead of a Broadway show…and you would never see Violet’s parents take her out late at night….I guess they have more common sense than tomkat

It’s their child, and I’m sure that they have been told about the problems the bottle can pose. Let them raise her the way they want. Just because they let her use a bottle at 2 doesn’t mean that they are abusive to her, if anything I would think that it shows a little over indulgence. As for Katie taking Suri to Broadway shows I think it’s nice to see parents (famous or not) trying to spend some quality time with their children, and I don’t think that Katie and Tom are using her for publicity as much as everyone else does, they are public figures and in the coarse of taking care of their daughter themselves she’s bound to become a public figure too.

They may be full of children, but I doubt they are full of two year olds. Any child that is still on a bottle is too young to be taken to a Broadway show.

A two year old should be in bed by 8 p.m. Any sane parent knows this. But we’re talking about Katie Holmes here.
I think all of these issues, being up past a bedtime, the bottle, etc. are all a result of their whacked-out beliefs in their ‘cult’. They are raising their child as if she’s an adult, without discipline or structure. They want her to be free and independent and decide on her own. I’m still puzzled by Holmes’ desire to be part of it, and give Kidman high praise for standing by HER principles and not giving in to Cruise’s brainwashing.
Well, I’ve raised 3, and I can honestly say, they do much better with structure, discipline, and real praise. They are cognitively too young at 2 to decide about bottles or whether they should stay up late. Parents need to make those decisions for them.
That being said, it does SEEM like his other two children are well-mannered and bright. But time will tell how they are emotionally and whether they can live with other people’s rules.
I do like Katie, and hope she’s happy.

poor little Suri. such an angelic little face yet you have such a sad life.
I tihn it’s right to say something about how wrong Suri’s parents are. I mean look at Violet Affleck. She’s so happy in every picture she’s seen ni. All smiles and cute cute sweet. and Suri? same aged but so sad.
Breaks my heart to see such a young innocent kid with empty eyes and not a smile on her face at all times.
#67 you are aboslutely right about structure. Children thrive on structure in their lives. They need a set bed time, meal time, etc.
I think that people expressing concern for Suri are not being hateful.
OMG enough with bottle already. The kid is 2!
A few things:
1. I feel bad for Suri coz this is the 2nd time we see her starting to cover her face.
2. I don’t have any kids, so I can’t really comment on the bottle thing. I didn’t even realize it’s bad for the speech or teeth if left too long.
3. I love the theaters. But I do have to say I don’t particularly enjoy when kids cry or start talking in the middle of performance. So as long as Suri and other kids don’t do that, or the parents are considerate enough and start to remove the kids and themselves when the kids start acting up, I am fine.
I feel so sorry for that poor baby.
AGAIN, STUPID WOMAN CARRING HER LITTLE GIRL, BECAUSE HER AMBITIOUS TO BE POPULAR.
KATIE CAN YOU STOP TO ABUSE YOUR KID JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE NOTHING TO BE FAMOUS.
