OlderAngelina Jolie’s Presidential Pick is Undecided
United Nations goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie hasn’t decided who she’s voting for between Presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama.
The 33-year-old new mom said in a statement to Variety managing editor Ted Johnson via political adviser Trevor Neilson: “I have not decided on a candidate. I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world.”
Back in February, Angie wrote an op-ed piece for the Washington Post, “[calling] on each of the presidential candidates and congressional leaders to announce a comprehensive refugee plan with a specific timeline and budget as part of their Iraq strategy.”

Obviously Angie and Brad are not revealing who they are voting for.
Best they leave it that way. Some people can hate them over what they wore last friday so if they put their political choices out there all it will do is cause nasty ugly posts thru the whole thread.

On a better note i got my Hello and People Mag with pics yesterday. Couldnt be more pleased. I cracked up at Brads few comments and the pics are so sweet and down to earth. Priceless.
…I could care less which way she votes…I’m sure as informed as she seems to be on international affairs she’s aware of the candidates’ positions…she KNOWS who she would prefer but ain’t telling…and this is her right…as a member of the UNHCR, she has an agenda and shouldn’t announce her preference…my choice for president has nothing to do with whomever she chooses.

I doubt that has anything to do with it. Geffen is a well-known “inglorious b#stard”. He doesn’t make day-to-day decisions on financing movies, though. For the most part oversees the business aspects of Dreamworks and does the dirty work for Spielberg, and when he was part of the main company, Katzenberg as well. David Geffen’s bottom line is always going to be his ego and money - in that order.
If you haven’t read the the December 2007 story, check it out. It’s pretty obvious that while Sumner Redstone is an old coot who’s better business days are behind him…Geffen is just plain mean and petty. Geffen brokered that deal, then when Spielberg didn’t think Par was defferential enough to him he got mad and when Spielberg is unhappy, then Geffen comes in to make Steven happy. Brad Grey is just another casualty of Geffen’s ego.

Angelina, what about the children and adults in crisis in our OWN country! What about, how are americans going to afford to heat their homes this winter? What about the homeless children and adults HERE in our own country. That’s pretty important too.
Angelina will never tell who she will vote for because her causes depend on whoever is in office. The media always ask this question, this is nothing new. Also, she issued this through a press statement which shows there must be alot of people asking her this question.

It turns out Brad Pitt really is a no-holds-barred fighter – as a member of the Australian Olympic boxing team.
The Aussie Pitt, 25, quit his day job as a painter to train as a heavyweight boxer for the 2008 Games. And while he still gets the occasional taunt about his name, he’s learned to put up with it.
“Mate, I’ve been living with that other bloke’s name for years, it doesn’t worry me at all,” he told Australia’s Herald Sun while practicing.
His mother said he found out about his more famous counterpart during elementary school, when a child brought in a newspaper clip about the actor during show and tell.
“He likes to be known for his talent, not his name,” his mother Leanne told Australia’s The Age.
Talent he has. Ranked 33rd in the World Championships in Chicago in 2007, he’s gearing up for a medal run in Beijing after a grueling training session in Thailand to acclimate himself to Chinese conditions, and is ready to make a name for himself – his own name.

BTW - If you don’t have time to read the entire VF article you can get the gist of it from the author in a video at the link below. You’ll notice that Brad Grey’s name is NOT mentioned in the video. He’s just the poor schlub who was dumb enough to take the job and get stuck between Redstone & Geffen. I’m sure there’s been many a day in the last 3 years when he wished he was back at Plan B with Brad.

I think it’s best if the celebs stay out of politics. Their opinions really don’t matter much. Case in point, 4 yrs ago, everyone in Hollywood jumped on the bandwagon endorsing John Kerry, and look who’s in charge now.

She is actually a registered independent and her views are the same as McCains concerning the middle east. It wouldn’t surprise me if she votes for McCain. I also think Obama’s “plan” and views are a bit distorted and uninformed.

DG? Who’s DG? I knew there were rumblings that the LA Times was about to be taken over in a hostile bid, but I didn’t know who it was. They’d better watch out or they’ll be just like Anheuser-Busch. The most American of beers…now owned by Germans…soon to be made in Mexico…
I hope Angelina does not come out and say who she supports because with her UNHCR and other humanitarian activities she needs to work well with all people in charge of the government. I support Mc Cain. I certainly am not going to say she has to vote for Mc Cain or I am not going to support her .
