OlderAngelina Jolie Replaces Tom Cruise in “Edwin A. Salt”
Angelina Jolie will be replacing Tom Cruise in the Columbia Pictures espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt.
Variety says Angie is “the rare female who is viable in an action genre that has been almost the exclusive domain of men.” No doubt!!!
Jolie would play the title character, a CIA officer who’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence. Edwin A. Salt will be rewritten by the movie studios and will undergo a title change, obviously.
Tom had long been rumored to take the project but eventually bowed out because (reportedly) a $20 million salary wasn’t possible. The film will reunite Angie will her Bone Collector director, Philip Noyce.
Wow, who saw this one coming!? More spy chick Angie! Woo!!!!!

NOW that Angelina Jolie has the blessing of original Catwoman Julie Newmar to play the foxy feline in the next “Batman” movie, she’s been talking it over with porn star Tera Patrick . “They are friends and keep in touch via e-mail,” said a source. “She and Angie have a girl-talk thing going. After seeing reports that she’ll land the lead role, Jolie asked Patrick what she thought. Tera had such insights into the role that Jolie cracked, ‘You should do it!’ ” Jolie’s rep did not return calls.
However tera patrick is fine as all get out.
I love this woman! I love the way she balances out being a feisty strong woman and being a lovely generous caring mother and humanitarian. I don’t admire any other celeb apart from her and Brad!
The Bone Collector was terrible and so is Noyce’s filmography. Good luck to her…

When tabloids get it right … and wrong

Now that the National Enquirer has busted the story of the John Edwards affair wide open, it’s time once again to admit the obvious – sometimes the tabloids get it right.
But how exactly do you know when to trust them? Just because Edwards has admitted to having an affair with Rielle Hunter, does that mean Elvis is still alive on a South Pacific island and alien babies are secretly hiding in Area 51?
No, but if you take the time to actually read the tabs the next time you’re in a supermarket checkout line, you’ll notice a pattern to when they’re accurate and when they’re not.
Usually right
Political scandals. Movie and TV stars are the bread and butter of tabloids, not politicians. So if a magazine like the Enquirer devotes the time and money to track down a Washington figure’s misdeeds, it’s often because they’re on the trail of something big, like Jesse Jackson’s love child or the Edwards incident.
Usually wrong
Brangelina news. The appetite for info on super couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is so huge that the smallest details are blown into misleading cover stories

Batman won’t catch “Titanic”
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Will “Titanic” ever lose its berth as the biggest movie of all time? “The Dark Knight” is racing up the ranks, but the Batman sequel will stall at No. 2 with about $510 million to $520 million, Warner Bros. Pictures predicts.
That’s far from the $601 million haul of “Titanic,” which set sail in December 1997. (Adjusted for inflation, both movies are dwarfed by the $1.4 billion haul for 1939’s “Gone with the Wind”).

Have a great Tuesday and make it a MIR day. AJ is often mis-quoted, a day late and dollar short quoted and generally lied on. However, she continues to raise her children, perform her humanitarian work, and respect and love BP. She is a heck of a woman. She is not going back to work for a while, so all the stay at home moms can relax. AJ is an exciting actress and I enjoy her film work.
