OlderAngelina Jolie Replaces Tom Cruise in “Edwin A. Salt”
Angelina Jolie will be replacing Tom Cruise in the Columbia Pictures espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt.
Variety says Angie is “the rare female who is viable in an action genre that has been almost the exclusive domain of men.” No doubt!!!
Jolie would play the title character, a CIA officer who’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence. Edwin A. Salt will be rewritten by the movie studios and will undergo a title change, obviously.
Tom had long been rumored to take the project but eventually bowed out because (reportedly) a $20 million salary wasn’t possible. The film will reunite Angie will her Bone Collector director, Philip Noyce.
Wow, who saw this one coming!? More spy chick Angie! Woo!!!!!

Guys I why are we spending so much time on the X. Really so much has happened in the last few weeks to Brad and Angie and more is coming but this whole entry is about Jennifer. WHY? Things to discuss:
The wonderful time Angie is having with Jane. They really connect and love each other. Angie adores her living with them. I wonder if maybe they are getting along so well that Jane will move with them where ever they go?
The movies coming out : I am quite worried about Will Smith’s movie and Jim Carreys movie on the same date. The Curious Case cost a fortune to make. Like $150 million!! This movie needs to make alot of money.
What do you think they will do when promoting. Leave the kids in France. Take all 6 children with them for all the travel. I think that things are going to change with travel
Did you see the picture with Brad’s pants? I realize that he is busy but he needs to get with the program. Angie is hot and if he doesn’t keep up she might just get a little - well - he looks like and old man. come on Brad don’t let Angie’s eyes wonder. I keep hoping that he next movie is not with someone hot like JOhnny Depp. Might be the kiss of death.
I agree Real Tita with everything you just said about the X - I really believe she’s never going to be over him for the same reasons you stated. And, like someone earlier said I would like to see the X get her comeuppance for the backstabbing and lying she did about Brad.

Are the Jolie-Pitts photos more expensive than the other celeb pics? It seems JJ is no longer that up to date when it comes to putting up the Jolie Pitts pics. There are new Brad and Zee pics in France from Bauer that have been all over the other blogs, but JJ has not put them up yet.
And btw, I notice he is so quick in putting up pics of X and Mayer in recent months compared to the J-Ps pics.
Just asking JJ, no offence meant.

That 6 hour trip to Sevilla is more like a day and half. I veered of the main road to Ciudad Real - had to see the Castilla dela Mancha and Quixote’s windmills. Miguel certainly described this vast and arid part of Spain so beautifully. Spain is full of “castilla” and monasteries in Guadalupe that are 10th- 15the centuries that are remained untouched. You can forget US cathedrals - no comparison to Spain’s. There are many medieval towns, with full traffic public markets, and a “bandillo” to recite the day’s news. ‘never heard of the term “bandillo” before, I am told, they’d like to maintain the traditions of getting the news ! They bring the news from village to village. Wow - untouched by time ! The caballeros will seranade you for 25 euros - the melody is sweet and sad. Shame, i didn’t know what it meant. You’re supposed to hand them your right hand, then they slightly kiss them. Romantic ! ‘can’t believe these ordinary folks could play the guitar par to those of Juliard’s.
‘am now in Cordoba - this GPS is for the birds and of course, i got lost again. No police here - monks are all over, attending to their vineyards and never ending fields of lavander. i stopped to gather some lavander, but these plants are so hardy, ‘had a hard time pulling them. An older Monk - so me wacking the plant ! Great - that’s all I need - charged with vandalism in Spain. But he was so nice. We talked for an hour, I shouldnt have, but I did, went with him to the Torre de la “something”. BamBam went wild thru the lavander field to the top of the hill. The monastery is like a fortress, errie but at the same time very peaceful, with labyrnths, wine cellar, altars, images of all saints in stones, and a huge fantastic library !. You smell old and vintage leather. Funny but this ancient library had a state of the art computer system and several lap taps - very expensive ones - Sony Viao ? ????????. I glanced at one screen - NY Stock Exchange, and Euro Londo Stock Market !
Cross culture - it’s wierd about the village “bandillo” to bring the news!!!!!! Contradictions, or maybe a blend of the ancient and the modern ! The tower - you can see forever and on a distant, you can see beautiful lagoons, vineyards and lavander fields. This must be heaven. The head monk invited me for dinner. He didnt approved of my short shorts and T. I told the monk , I have only shorts an T’s readily available, although, I have haltered dresses for night life. He gave me a garment made of heavy sack weighing too much on my shoulder to wear for dinner ! I was served bread, sausage, stew and wine. The room was long, huge and must be hundreds of candelabras. They closed their eyes, recited a prayer, and I took pictures secretly !
After dinner, I was escorted down the village with townfolks women who cook for the monks. The monks gave me 6 jugs - cava and rioha of their wine, and food on the road - more stew and sausage, chorizo and tapas !. Don’t ask me what they are made of - but they are so delicious ! ‘had to follow a bunch of drunken merry monks driving an old truck onto the main road. ’still can’t get over that these monks have Sonny Viaos checking NY and Euro stock markets. ‘betya they are making money from the vineyards and the lavander fields !
‘am here in Cordoba @ Hotel Palacete Mirador de Cordoba until tomorrow on my way to Sevilla to see an old forgotten friend. She from Seville - i met 11 years ago in Canada during the Girl Scout World Jamboree. right now, it’s about 9:30 pm - ‘am about to go to the “tienda” - i don’t know what that means, or what to expect - but hey - i may never come this way again. it’s called risk = > return. so far, Espana has been good to me ! Then, about a block from Palace Mirador is night life galore. ‘am ready !

Rue, this is a gossip blog and we like to discuss the goosip-du-jour. The JPs are laying low, no news, so we will let them be for a while. The gossip-for-fun today is the Johniffer break up. I read the ChicagoSunTimes article on PerezHilton. It’s so typical of Jen’s PR team again CHARACTER ASSASSINATION again. All the fault is poured onto Mayer’s head. He is a cheater, a player, a womanizer, bla, bla, bla. Jen comes out smelling like a rose again. How old is she? 40 in a few mere months. Doesn’t she know that having a high profile as she does, one doesn’t flaunt one’s date lightly? She merely knew him for a couple of months, but didn’t hesitate to tag along on his tour, be seen taking his pictures on stage, kissing him in pap infested restaurants, hugging him in the pool, etc, etc… For an unknown person, it’s ok to behave that way, but not for a celebrity, especially if you are dating a rock star known for being a serial dater, not to mention who had a made out session with Perez Hilton. I wonder what really was the reason why they broke up. Maybe she just found out about Perez, or about his peeing on his women? Anyhow, now Mayer is painted as a bad guy, just like Brad, and VV were.
