Check out two new hilarious 2008 MTV VMAs commercials featuring host Russell Brand and pop princess Britney Spears.
“It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show,” a source tells E!. “There’s also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in ‘the elephant in the room.’ ”
Britney is looking sooooooooo good and soooooooo normal! Yay Brit Brit!!!!!
The VMAs will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and one-time only in its original format on Sunday, September 7, 2008 @ 9PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT).

Wow…amazing how she so quickly “recovered’ from her supposed mental illness. Convince the judge that you’re crazy and he’ll take your kids away…and that, she did! For the smart people out there, we knew it was all an act and that she didn’t want the day in and day out responsibilities of motherhood. She fooled so many, and now she’s able to focus all of her time on herself instead of her sons. I’m calling my mom tomorrow and thanking her for sacrificing so much for me by being there and not being self-absorbed and narcissistic like Britney is. Britney is a disgrace to the word “mother”.
im glad she’s doing better. #77 you have no clue what you’re talking about, how do you know she doesn’t suffer from a mental disorder? so i guess the doctors that treated her were an act too, i mean she probably fooled them…gime a break! she clearly needed help and she’s still getting it, no one said it was going to be a fast recovery, she’s still in treatment. nobody knows what went on her mind. and no she is not a disgrace to the word “mother”, no mother is perfect.

coudnt agree more with u man! If u go to the vma’s website and see their most memorable performances over the last 25 or so years, u’ll see that EVERY SINGLE BRITNEY PERFORMANCE IS THERE…ALL FIVE OF EM!! THE STRIP-TEAST ONE, THE SNAKE ONE, KISSING MADONNA…all of em! This truly shows she is already a legend. How is miley (or other teen twats running around these days) are even gonna come close to what she has already done, let alone top her?!
Britney was, and still is, original, creative, thinks outside the box for sure! Like a true entertainer does! And these kinda stars dont come that often. And no one, EVER, will be able to replace britney. EVER!

no mela, the joke is that the elephant in the back is acting like britney when she performed gimme more. But, I totally disagree with you. Britney is relevant and she only 26 shes sold over 100 million records. Yes rhianna is new and pretty., but she has not reached britneys success. Amy winehouse is even more messed up then britney was! Duffy is OK but she hasnt caught on yet in the us. Britney is here to stay. She looks great sounds great and is healthy! She is back and is a pop icon! Shes not going anywhere and if you think miley or selena will oveer throw britney you;re wrong cuz they’e just a bunch of teenie boppers that will be done with their careers by the time they’re 18.
