OlderJake Gyllenhaal is the Shirtless Prince of Persia
Jake Gyllenhaal channels his inner brute and shows off his newly buff body on the set of his latest movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, in Morocco, North Africa on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old actor, who has an entire mane of hair now, held hands with his actress girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. The couple spent the the weekend at the exclusive luxury Moroccan hotel Amanjena. Gyllenspoon grabbed lunch on Saturday at a Moroccan restaurant followed by a tour of the local sights.
In the film, Jake will play Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Gemma Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

just like my nick says, he looks like a conan wanna be. not that I liked the Conan look, but that is what came to mind when I saw this.
And reese!? I am hoping he drops her sorry ass. All I see her doing is posing for the paps or shopping. She looks old in these shots. maybe it’s true what they say about some guys wanting to date women who remind them of their mother. Cause she certainly looks old enough to be his mother in these shots
Jake has an “oriental look”??!! You mean of course his slant eyes. Or his fake blue eyes, produced by colored contacts? He gets pumped up for roles like in Jarhead, but his body is too sausage like to end up looking really good. His torso here is not esp. attractive and the rest of him is ugly, dirty, smelly too no doubt.
He is definitely better choice than Orlando…..
Orlando is too skinny and melancholic….
I prefer clean Jake too…. I sincerely believe that his musceles are going to melt after he finish with movie…
Color of his eyes is not fake, he using normal contact lenses for sight…..

Jake has always been in shape with strong arms even if he isn’t bulked up for roles like Jarhead (which he looked amazing to me) or this.

Oh he has to bulk up for muscle roles; his body IS a sausage type body. A when he bulks up he looks like an overstuffed sausage. How do you know his contacts are not colored? Has he removed them to show you? Colored contacts are all over Hollyweird, more or less standard since blue eyes sell. At best his normal eye color is grey.
The Prince is supposed to be strong, but also graceful and athletic. Jake looks like a ‘bear’ in a china shop, while Orlando has proven his athletic ability over and over.
Orlando would have been perfect for this role, but he’s off doing real movies now.
Orlando went from blockbuster action films, to films with a message.
Jake went from films with a mesage, to an action film destined to fail.
Orlando has enough money to never work again.
Jake took this role for the money.

If you like Jake, fine. But apparently most others here don’t.
They should remove his body hair too as they did in Brokeback. I doubt the Prince of Persia was hairy. I see him as sleek with skin like velvet. Hairy torsos are icky icky.
Reese is sexually too small for him. His wand could ream her out. She needs to find a man more her “size” if you know what I mean before she is injured. LOL.
I bet he gets a kick out of hearing “Jakeypoo, stop stop for God sake stop, you’re hurting me, your hurting me.”

The wardrobe is a little off from the timeline of the games as is the way he looks. cause in the game he is clean shaven with a small goatee. Plus the wardrobe is supposed to be bluish.
And #20 the hair is supposed to be long so there is no changing that. plus wear in the game is he shirtless. I know they can change things due to it being a movie, but still.

If you look closely it looks like Jake has two extra nipples sorta half way down his torso. Could that be? I’ve seen people with extra nipples on them, Fugly. But what are those two pimples on his torso?

Ivana, just because someone is chosen for a role, doesn’t mean that they are the best choice for the role. Some casting decisions ruin rntire movies….like Prince of Persia.
I think that he looks ridiculous. If you don’t, that’s fine. I agree with others that Orlando would have been a much better choice.
But maybe you would be happier at a Jake fan site. People are going to give their opinions over here. If you can’t handle that, this isn’t the place for you.

Until this is finished filming it is ridiculous to say Jake will ruin this movie. He looks totally like the version of the game, Warrior Within and bulked right for the look. No one has even seen him in action yet so all this whining about him being all wrong is laughable.
Knowing that Jake is a good actor and giving him the benefit of the doubt that he can pull this off I will wait until the movie is done to decide if it is good or not. I know I will check it out in 2010.

I don’t believe for one second that these two are lovers or even close friends. These days whenever I read anything about their ‘perfectly matched relationship’ or ‘impending marriage’ the first words out of my mouth are ‘Bullsh*t’ and ‘What a load of rubbish!’
We can’t know if they are lovers, but I have no doubt they are good friends. They are very alike in what they like and dislike. They don’t drink to excess, do drugs, go to bars and night clubs, etc., They both tend to stay home and occasionally go out for dinner with friends. They are “dorks” as Dunst said of him. They would not spend as much time together as they do if they didn’t enjoy each other’s company. I see no reason at all to doubt that.
She looks a miserable cow as usual. Maybe she’s cheesed off having to fly all the way to Morocco to beard for Jake and get one up on Ryan and Abbie. Fauxmance between fame-whores…..
Ah you are wrong Chris, she is not a dork! They are not good friends and over time he has learned to tolerate her.
She has a ****** personality and will be alone forever, now that she has lost her husband. If she manages to get someone he will be after her money.
They spend time together for the cameras - peroidand once simple doormat Jake realizes that having her around is keeping all of the nice girls at bay, he will try to wriggle out of it in his ‘please still like me’ way.
