OlderJake Gyllenhaal is the Shirtless Prince of Persia
Jake Gyllenhaal channels his inner brute and shows off his newly buff body on the set of his latest movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, in Morocco, North Africa on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old actor, who has an entire mane of hair now, held hands with his actress girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. The couple spent the the weekend at the exclusive luxury Moroccan hotel Amanjena. Gyllenspoon grabbed lunch on Saturday at a Moroccan restaurant followed by a tour of the local sights.
In the film, Jake will play Dastan, a young prince in sixth century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Gemma Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Jake looks positively nethanderal, what have they done to him. Reese just looks like she wants to be any where other than on a film set with pro-magnum man Gyllenhaal (and who can frankly blame her).

Meh, he is absolutely GORGEOUS, but this look does nothing for him. I prefer the regular Jake, a la Brokeback Mountain pre the hideous mustache :)
I agree with the posters who said body great-face and hair just don’t look right. I love Jake but this look is not him.

Idiot stylists. WAX that belly, DUDE!!! It’s marginally okay for the chest, and only because you’re supposed to be Persian, but hair on the tummy is GROSS. And with those abs…. PLEASE.
When they made Troy, despite the people being Greek, they understood that to see the eye candy you needed to wax the bodies. Why do you think body builders wax? You can’t see the muscles well otherwise, and it looks dirty, like he’s been rolling around in the mud.

He’s been taking creatine to supplement his workouts, an dit definitely agrees with me.
The wig is frightful (he had short hair a few months ago, folks, so this top is strictly for the movie), but everything else works.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that doesn’t wax his body. In fact, I think he’s even trimming too much. I love that it grows in as he ages.

I kind of liked him not long ago, but here he looks fake and trying-too-hard from head to toe. and definitely NOT Persian, or even remotely Middle Eastern. admittedly, nice physique, but Jake isn’t and never was an alpha male type, so this just doesn’t really suit him (=go with his boyish face). I suppose Hollywood just cannot get someone of the right ethnicity, ever.

With all the special effects Hollywood does, with all the advancement in movie technology, why they hell can’t they make a decent wig???? The hair in these type of movies ALWAYS looks AWFUL!! So fake-looking, stiff, unmoving hair, I just can’t believe how ALL the people involved in these kind of movies don’t see it!!!! Yet the majority of the people are on here can so obviously see that RIGHT AWAY!!! They’ve done this with so many normally hot actors like Colin Farrell (his hair in Alexander) and now Jake. Ugh work on the hair Hollywood!!! Get it right!!!
For all the gazillion’s actors make, why can’t they grow their hair 2 or 3 inches for a part? Why do they always go the wig route? Cripes my hubby’s hair grows mega fast, he would have had it that length within 2-3 months! Does their hair not grow like us regular people, they always need wigs, extensions, ect. Jake knew he was doing this movie quite awhile ago and he seems to have no prob growing those big ugly bushy beards that he sports in between his movies at the drop of a hat, but he couldn’t grow out the hair on his head for this part? Weird.
