Vanessa Hudgens Sued For $5 Million

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is being sued by producer Johnny Vieira for more than $5 million and punitive damages.

In May 2005, Vieira claims he and Vanessa entered into an agreement to launch Vanessa’s career and “share equally” in the profits. But after High School Musical became a hit, he says she dropped him and owes him $2 million.

Vanessa even sent a photo of herself to Viera with this inscription: “Johnny, thank you for everything, without you, I would be no where [sic], we will make it BIG- Vanessa Hudgens. Sweet.” You can see the note at TMZ.

I’m going out on a limb here but what exactly don’t you believe? That Vanessa is being sued? Well, she is. How do I know that is true? Because COURT PAPERS have been FILED with the courts. Now, do I believe all the garbage this low-life is claiming in those papers? NO.

Just thought of one more reason why I love this girl. She is a strong individual who does not give up and follows her dreams no matter how much hate comes her way and she keeps her head up when people try to bring her down. I know I could not deal with the stuff she goes through and I’m few years older than her. I hope she keeps good people around her who will have her back through anything

i hope she will be okay and dont need to pay a vast amount of money. she has been working very, very hard , she deserves to enjoy the money she earns. I really admire her for being a very hard working girl, she has no connections or whatsoever when she started in showbiz, now that she is very popular, everyone is taking advantage of her. Wow, so many nasty people who know nothing, or jump to conclusions. I’d just like to know HOW people think she deserves this. She’s worked hard for her money and expected her attorney to do his job. THis creep does not deserve another dime from her. She’s already paid him enough. So what has Vanessa done to deserve it? She deserves a lawsuit because she’s beautiful, talented, and has a great boyfriend?

here is a clause from the “settlement agreement” it looks like vanessa’s team was Not RESPONSIBLE for obtaining the court approval
“SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT”
1 (a)
Hudgens and Vieira hereby acknowledge that the terms and conditions of this agreement shall supercede the terms and condition of the production contract and upon court approval (”Court Approval”) for this agreement (which court approval shall be at Hudgens expense) the production agreement shall be terminated as of the date first set forth above (”the termination date”)

COMMENT — I don’t see whereas it states Hudgens responsibility, only at “Hudgens expense” — possibly whereas vieira could easily have the settlement agreement “Court Approved” at Hudgens expense.

Whereas Hudgens would be responsible for the legal cost and fees…………………. under a labor code section either party can obtain the “Court Approval”, and it is claimed that Johny Vieira sent notice to the Hudgens legal team to have them initiate the court approval process, but they obviously never did, for their responsibility, was only for the “expenses”.

Could this have been to avoid any future acknowledgement on hudgens behalf, that this “settlement agreement” was actually valid?

The initial issue of a minor under contract is a legal issue, and one that only has a slight legal angle for it to be valid, for Employment, and for Talent Agency, under the Talent Agency Act…………………

I see Johnny Vieira as ONLY a Talent Agency, under the Labor Code, with any legal grounds to maintain a contract with a minor…….

Does anyone know if Vanessa had a Guardian sign the initial contract?

Or could it be that Hudgens lawyer sent Hudgens a 150K legal bill, and she refused to pay it, so hudgens lawyers had the “court approval” expunged from the record?

NOTE — I have the entire Talent Agency Act outlined, and i might post it section by section with a short argument/questions………… I think BOTH contracts are INVALID under the Labor Code, Talent Agency Act, whereas Vieira’s contract applies.
