Vanessa Hudgens Sued For $5 Million
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is being sued by producer Johnny Vieira for more than $5 million and punitive damages.
In May 2005, Vieira claims he and Vanessa entered into an agreement to launch Vanessa’s career and “share equally” in the profits. But after High School Musical became a hit, he says she dropped him and owes him $2 million.
Vanessa even sent a photo of herself to Viera with this inscription: “Johnny, thank you for everything, without you, I would be no where [sic], we will make it BIG- Vanessa Hudgens. Sweet.” You can see the note at TMZ.

He is basically trying to take much more money than he is owed and if he had issues with Vanessa owing him money in 2006 then why did he produce the song paper cut on her new album? He is just trying to make money but the amount he is asking for is ridiculous.
I hope that’s not true. I mean the producer worked with her, on her second album.

*did it ever cross your mind* and *paper cut*

finally some good news after all the sad deaths.
maybe now shell actually have to shop at SEARS.
b****
WHAT????? That is absolutely rediculous! How can that be legitimate? Vanessa would have ony been like 15 then, A MINOR!!!!! That guy is totally full of it. I bet they never even made that agreement. The scum bag. GO BABY V!!!!!
#34, no offense but are you a total moron? Vanessa Hudgens is not even CLOSE to being worth 100 million, much less 20 or even 10. In case you haven’t heard her newest album has flopped mightily, there aren’t going to be any more sequels to HS musical after this year’s and those endorsement deals will dry up pretty soon in a few years too when all the teenyboppers have graduated from junior high..maybe you were joking, I kinda hope so, because anyone who really thinks this girl is uber-rich is delusional.
I feel so bad for her and her family. She’s been working so hard
this year and it’s horrible that this jerk might get some of it when
he didn’t do anything to deserve it. I know he might have conned
them into a contract at the beginning and because of some oversite
by her lawyers she might be legally obligated but morally it is just
wrong.
Hope everything works out well.
Just another situation of some selfish creep taking advantage of a celebrity’s fame and the money they have earned from it. Vanessa, Keep your chin up and your head held high - to those doubters I guess you really have made it big and should be proud of what you have accomplished. Unfortunately, now the sharks will be circling.
Vanessa has enough money money to pay that *******
I’ll kill Johnny Vieira, xoxo :*
I’ll kill Johnny Vieira, xoxo :*
Omg i feel sooo bad for her!!! I really hope she wins this case, its sooo not fair to her!!!
I don’t know the whole story, but sounds like this Vieira dude is mad because she “let him go” before she made it big. Anyway, she was only 16 when she entered into the contract with him. And now he’s looking for his 15 minutes of fame. Hope she has a good legal team.
BTW, she NOT the first person in Hollywierd to get sued by a former employee/manager.
if she does have the money then she wont have much left to splurge on her house with zac……………………………thank god
gosh disney stars are dropping like flies these days
i knew she’d end up getting herself in ANOTHER mess
its about time
hahaha when will she grow up and learn she can have sex with someone just so she doesnt need to pay them?
LMAO at #34 who commented that Vanessa is worth more than 100 million!!!!!!!!!!! Who are u kidding? I mean I’m sure this girl has got alot of money, but a 100 million?? Come on! LoL..
if she didn’t sign anything this guy is just trying to get her $$$
can anyone prove dat photo wid her signs is real?
On the teen Forbes list she was ranked 10th earning $3.2million.
I don’t understand, if she didn’t keep her agreement of $2million, then why has he decided to add an extra whopping $3million!? I hope a judge sees right through him!
sweet… that is just screwed up if youre gonna be such a pervy jerk, stay away from these POSSITIVE boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sure Vanessa will weasel her way out of it since she was a minor..
but if she doesn’t by some miracle…
I’m not so sure she has $5million? I think she may be right at it or a little under. but if she does actually have to pay the full amount, I’m sure that’s going to hit hard at home. maybe buying that second car (lexus) and a house right now wasn’t the best idea? welcome to reality. seems like your credit card can’t save you now, and you’re no more special than someone who can’t afford $2,000 purses. idiot.
maybe this will make her giant head swell back down to normal size.
GO VANESSA!
I LOVE YOU!
NO MATTER WHAT!
Vanessa, i know you could get through this, and hopefully this will make you a stronger person.
Just know that you are an amazing person and your fans and i will always be there for you! Go Baby V!!!
This happens to actors/actors/singers every day in Hollywood. Vanessa is not the first:
Matt LeBlanc’s former business manager sued him last year seeking at least $1 million in unpaid commissions.
Scott Howard claims that the Emmy-winning actress Lisa Kudrow failed to pay him commissions since she fired him in 2007. He is seeking damages of at
least $50,000.
Britney Spears was sued by her manager, Jonny Wright, claiming she hasn’t forked over commissions owed him from when she was actually famous for her performing.
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky is being sued by her former managers who claim they have yet to receive royalties from her for their representation.
What these people need are good attorneys to help them dot the I’s and cross the T’s in legal contracts they have with managers, producers, etc.
