Vanessa Hudgens Sued For $5 Million
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is being sued by producer Johnny Vieira for more than $5 million and punitive damages.
In May 2005, Vieira claims he and Vanessa entered into an agreement to launch Vanessa’s career and “share equally” in the profits. But after High School Musical became a hit, he says she dropped him and owes him $2 million.
Vanessa even sent a photo of herself to Viera with this inscription: “Johnny, thank you for everything, without you, I would be no where [sic], we will make it BIG- Vanessa Hudgens. Sweet.” You can see the note at TMZ.

Vanessa will over come this like many celebrities before. I won’t get too upset over it. She’s not the only celebrity will legal problems as other posters noted.
Mr. Vierra is looking for some quick cash and will probably take an settlement that Vanessa’s lawyers offer because it is not to Mr. Vierra benefit for this case tbefore a judge. There too many procedural and legal questions at hand.

If the haters and bashers had any sort of brain, they would do a little checking over this case before shooting off their mouths. There is so many points in this that make this Johnny guy sound so shady it is laughable. BUT people like him don’t care because all he wants is some money the easy way. Even if he only would get $250,000 by settling out of court he has gotten it by doing next to nothing except for getting publicity by suing someone who shouldn’t have to pay him a dime at this time. That’s a lot of easy money. It sounds like—-going over all the info that is available and which JJ didn’t include here—that Vanessa should be doing some suing of her own. Either her lawyer failed to do what he was suppose to do which was not Vanessa’s fault or this Johnny guy is blowing smoke for even he says he isn’t sure an agreement that was made was filed or not. Once again we have someone going after some money at the peak of a celebrities popularity. These people seem to hit Vanessa at just such times.
As for those who will say it is Vanessa’s fault for not being sure that her lawyer followed through on agreements they made, etc, if I was paying a lawyer big bucks to take care of such things I would assume that they were doing what they were paid to do. And if it turned out they didn’t, then they should be held accountable for not doing their jobs.
And those saying something about her being only 19 and how can all those hateful people being wishing such horrible things for her? THAT’S WHY, because she is only 19 and has so much in their eyes and they don’t so they are resentful and feel she obviously doesn’t deserve it. They will bristle if you call that reaction jealousy but it still doesn’t change the fact.

Much as I feel for Vanessa, I think it is her parents who feel it the most and will be very concerned with this. Like all parents they want the best for their children and to have something like this come at a time when they should be happy for their daughter’s accomplishments is very trying
. I guess, along the road to success Vanessa will always have to be on the lookout for the big bad wolves or predators and as some posters said she needs a good team of experienced Lawyers to advise her and deal with them.

Too bad for Vanessa Hudgens. Her family should know what it means by “breach of contract”. Well, with all her earnings, etc. maybe that would not be enough to pay $5million. Maybe Disney will bail her out! Not a role model for the young generation!!!

She was sued previous yes. The court ordered her to pay 1.5 million dollars. that was the total settlement. SHE DID NOT PAY HIM. So he worked on the CD, and everything, thinking he would get paid. Now he hasn’t gotten paid. Now he is suing for 5 million dollars. She should just pay it . Because the court orderded her to pay and she did not, she can actually go to jail. She is being in contempt. I hope it all goes well. Love this girl and don’t want anything to happen to her.
