Vanessa Hudgens Sued For $5 Million
High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is being sued by producer Johnny Vieira for more than $5 million and punitive damages.
In May 2005, Vieira claims he and Vanessa entered into an agreement to launch Vanessa’s career and “share equally” in the profits. But after High School Musical became a hit, he says she dropped him and owes him $2 million.
Vanessa even sent a photo of herself to Viera with this inscription: “Johnny, thank you for everything, without you, I would be no where [sic], we will make it BIG- Vanessa Hudgens. Sweet.” You can see the note at TMZ.

I read more into it. she did not agree in court. It was setteled the first time out of court with this dude, and her lawyers. Now he is taking her to court, and if he wins then she will have to pay. So i recant my previous statement. it was settled out of court. I thought I would put this up before someone would chew my ear.

Hes only doing this because she has so much money already and hes life is going down the drain. And he has no money. If he had money he would not be doing that and would just let it fly. At least shes showing respect to him geez!!

The truth is none of us know the facts of the case and we can only speculate. I have just this to say that I, like the Hudgens family are just as ignorant of the legal wranglings that goes on in Hollywood. It is just plain and simple, they were ill advised by a lawyer whom they trusted in the past. A hard lesson to learn but a valuable one in this cut throat arena.
Okay, I guess it is a field day for the haters to come out and gloat in other people’s misery. I shall just ignore them and pray for the best outcome. No use in reasoning with posters who are bent on hating and throwing abuse in anyway they can.
We are here for Vanessa and to give her our support and she will be in my prayers. May God Bless you, Vanessa and your family, may this be another hurdle that you will overcome and be the wiser.

People are jumping to conclusions, as usual, around here. I’m sure there is a lot more to this story than we know, and I”m sure there’s a good reason why this guy has not been paid. This guy must be flat broke and a loser to continue harrassing Vanessa. I’m sure she will get good legal advice and put this to rest, once and for all.
I have no idea why a legal issue, that Vanessa trusts others to take care of, has people thinking less of her. This stuff is not her fault. It’s the adults around her who have let her down.

Good thing she is ending her association with Disney soon. There is no way that company wants to deal with the Hudgens family and their baggage (i.e. two breach of contract lawsuits in about a year, and one full frontal n a k e d picture circulating the internets). Zac’s parents are probably rolling their eyes at this latest news flash, wishing he’d have never gotten involved with this girl, or maybe grateful that their “relationship” is a publicity stunt.

This is from a review of the Jonas Brothers’ new album in ROLLING STONE. The reviewer talks about other Disney singers and here’s what he/she says about Vanessa:
“Vanessa Hudgens knows the rocky passage to adult celebrity. The High School Musical star is a tabloid fixture, thanks to viral photos of her sans schoolgirl togs. But on Identified, Hudgens hews to the Disney content code, only occasionally tiptoeing into double-entendre. Hudgens can’t really sing, so her producers handle the heavy lifting. Several songs are helmed by pop wizard Dr. Luke — his lovely ballad “Don’t Ask Why” is filled with heart-tugging melodic twists — while Hudgens submits to digital doctoring. “Party on the Moon” sets her tiny voice against a baroque swirl of effects. She sounds like a little girl who took a wrong turn and ended up in T-Pain’s fun house. ”
So, my question is, does she lip sync in concert? Or is there another way to get the synthetic sound her voice has on the record?
Alicia - you have answered your own question. Of course she doesn’t lip synch, it’s perfectly evident from the youtube videos of her concert that she is singing live. And no, you can’t “synethesize” a voice live, or at least that certainly is not being done here.
Why assume that the over production on the album is due to inadequate vocals?
Take this excerpt from a different review for example which takes the opposite view. “Hudgens also needs to stay far, FAR away from the auto tune affect as it wrecks her perfectly acceptable vocal abilities.”
I suggest you make up your own mind, go on youtube, watch her perform LIVE which most artists do not do, especially while dancing at the same time!!!! And then tell us what you think of her vocal talents.
It’s a no brainer :-)
