Jennifer Aniston takes her dogs to her assistant’s house in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The Friends star has reportedly been dumped by her latest boyfriend, John Mayer. The pair initially decided to spend some time apart, before making the break official earlier this week, according to The Mirror.
“There’s been a bit of tension for some time,” says a source close to 30-year-old musician. “They initially opted for a break, hoping a trial split might make them stronger. Sadly it doesn’t seem to have worked.”
“John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together.”
“She also wanted him to assure her he would cut down his tours in the future when they did eventually have children. Initially, Jennifer was furious when he told her of his decision but now she’s simply sad - not to mention a little heartbroken,” the source said.
“They have spoken on the phone since the split and are trying to remain on good terms. But unless John has a dramatic change of heart, it’s unlikely they’ll rekindle their romance.”

Can’t say I’m surprised. What I don’t get is why people who like this woman will not admit maybe she needs to change the game up? Each week as we shop for groceries the same covers about Jennifer keep rotating. One week there is a “hot new romance”, the next “marriage and baby on the way, and finally “it’s over”. Please! Good thing that Huvane got rid of John. Jen’s pattern-find a fake boyfriend w/the help of Huvane when Brad and Angie hit the tabs, red carpet, awards circuit. Hire “boyfriend” for a short period of time. Run to tabloids everytime they go out on a date, have sex, go shopping. Introduce boyfriend to Courteney Cox (the only friend that I like now) and David Arquette. Approve, and then cling to boyfriend while Brad and Angie live happily ever after.
