OK, time for a little truth (which is often in short supply where Maniston and Huvane are concerned).

Huvane blew this one big time. Not that Mayer was any great catch, but this “relationship” actually started out on the up-and-up, not as a contrived fauxmance such as the V V escapade.

Mayer was interested in her as a high-profile conquest. And she was very, VERY interested in him . He was young, attractive and accomplished enough that she thought other women (ans Brad) would be jealous (a crucial factor for her).

So, there was initial attraction. Now, a rational woman would have dated privately for a while and WAITED until the relationship was an actuality before going public (see Witherspoon, Reese), especially given Mayer’s age and track record. But Maniston is incapable of rational thought because she is motivated solely by SELF-IMAGE. So, she chased him around the globe, pawed him in public, and even put on an embarrassing display in a car, contorting her body so she could grab his d*ck when she knew the cameras were on them. She reportedly even grabbed his cell phone backstage after a concert to see if he had been talking to a woman (queen of insecurities)

The final straw was Huvane’s WRITING then PLANTING that ridiculous “wedding” product-placement ad in OK! Mayer freaked and ran, leaving the country (and missing his beloved Gumball Rally) to get away from her. Maniston, frightened by the specter of more public humiliation, told Huvane to fix it. You have all seen the results of Huvane’s “fix it” ineptitude over the past few days — frantically-staged photo ops, dredging up a weeks-old story about her earnings to make her appear successful, hiring barely-literate posters to repeat overused ,”She’s so beautiful; She’s so classy” posts. The repeated stories and “out-and-about” pics were designed to blunt the effects of the Mexico photos and the inevitable revelation of the “dumping.” (As I said, PR ineptitude.)

Huvane has succeeded in making his client appear to be the LEAST desirable woman in Hollywood — used and disposed of. And since everyone knows Huvane wrote the OK! piece, he also makes her appear desperate to contrive a relationship. His staged photos aren’t fooling anyone and are making her appear egregiously pathetic. But Maniston isn’t bright enough (or emotionally stable enough) to see that Huvane is doing her more harm than good.

There isn’t an industry professional in Hollywood who doesn’t know that Huvane wrote the OK! piece. He grossly miscalculated Mayer’s reaction (even a PR intern would not have done this). Now, he is left with a client in the unenviable position of having to promote a film with the unfortunate (and ironic) title: “He’s Just Not That Into You” (insert joke here).

The sad thing is, Huvane hasn’t a clue as to what to do (he is laughably incompetent). If I didn’t dislike your client so much, Stephen, I’d tell you how to fix this fiasco. And fix it you must (and quickly). As Cruise has demonstrated, no star is so big that they cannot suffer a great fall. It will become increasingly difficult, it not impossible, for any studio to market your client as the “desirable” girl-next-door ON-SCREEN, when she is the perennial DUMPED LOSER in real life. She is almost 40. HER “CAREER CLOCK” IS TICKING!

Jennifer made the biggest mistake of her life when he let Brad get away. I think she realizes that now. Most actresses in her position would have done a lot more to make sure that marriage was working. Having kids for example. They could have had a child within a few years after getting married in 2000. They had already been together since 1998. She took too long to decide on having Brad’s dream babies. It backfired. I mean she married him at age 31. Perfect years- early thirties- to have your baby. Today she is going from one loser boyfriend to another. I feel sorry for her.

I agree with #9. Their relationship was just a fling/PR move to counter all the press Pitt and Jolie were getting for their babies. How convenient that she was all over the news in the build up to the babies’ birth, and now that that is over, her relationship with John is over too. As well, it was very curious that all those photos were posted of their intimate time spent on vacation and in the pool when Jen has super tight security with her where ever she goes. Amazing how those photogs manage to get those pictures.
