Katie Holmes is Plaid Pretty
Katie Holmes revives the pegged jeans look and dons some fancy footwear as she arrives for rehearsals in New York City on Wednesday morning.
The 29-year-old actress, who wore five-strap brown sandals and a plaid buttondown, has been preparing for her upcoming Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s play All My Sons costarring John Lithgow, Patrick Wilson and Dianne Wiest.
Last night, Katie took daughter Suri for some trampoline lessons at Chelsea Piers.

ummmmm, i don’t think so. i live in florida and NO ONE is wearing anything like the crapfest she’s got on. first of all……it’s over 100 degrees here daily….so assuming this style actually looked good (which it doesn’t), no one would be able to wear this due to the extremely hot temperatures (unless they were robots…hmmmmm i could be on to something here). next time you make up a story…make sure it jives with that location’s weather reports. i hate dumb liars…at least be smart about it. scientobots……they have faulty programming……
She was never a fashion icon, the person Tom hired to style her is. Katie was so much more interesting before Tom.
The idea that any of these celebs are fashion icons is ridiculous, they have stylists! And they buy clothes that are ready made. The designer is the one with style.

I don’t get this confused look. The shoes are cool - but look tailored like they should be with a pressed shirt and sleek jeans - not wrinkled, faded, rolled jeans. And the scarf? You are so hot that you have on sandals and rolled up sleeves but you need a scarf? I am so confused by this look. It makes me think she’s just messing with us, laughing behind the scenes as all the idiots start wearing the same confused clothes. She’s a cute girl - wish she dressed her age.

You know what bugs me, is WHY are there bodyguard/minders with her ALL of the time, everywhere they go?! Katie couldn’t have dashed out of the car, closed the door herself and walked herself into rehearsals without a bodyguard/minder? Please! I can’t even think of another celebrity that has a bodyguard/minder with them ALL the time. Occasionally, yes. Constantly, no. A little bit of self importance going on there?
Katie certainly is not ‘pretty’ anymore. She looks AWFUL. Being a scientology robot isn’t a good look on her. Poor thing!

Katie’s jeans were actually featured in the July issue of Vogue. Stangely enough, the same issue that has a rather poignant photo of TC and herself at the Superhero Gala. She is standing alone, looking rather forlorn, with one hand reaching for him while he is standing ahead of her looking at her with both hands in his pockets. Personally, I think it is a sign of maturity that she has stopped wearing 4-inch heels to spend time with her child. Also, why do people keep saying that she is wearing TC’s jeans? If she was she would not need to roll them up. They would fit like capris. Meow!

GONE are the days of Tom Cruise as action hero. The Scientologist - once the leading man in movies like “Top Gun,” “Days of Thunder” and “The Last Samurai” - has been replaced by Angelina Jolie as the star of Columbia Pictures’ spy thriller “Edwin A. Salt,” which will now need a new title, Variety reports.
And at 46, Cruise is thought to be too old and too expensive to star in the next “Mission Impossible” sequel. “Cruise is begging for ‘MI4,’ but Paramount wants a younger, cheaper guy,” a source told Page Six. “He had a tantrum and ran out of the meeting.”
So Cruise is turning to comedy to revive his career. He plays a fat, bald studio executive in “Tropic Thunder.” [See Lou Lumenick's review on Page 61.] Co-star Ben Stiller told Elle that Cruise was gung-ho to join the cast: “Tom said, ‘I want to play the studio guy. I want to dance, and I want to have big hands.’ Tom was doing this little dance, and I was like, ‘This is insane. If this thing was on YouTube, it would be all over the world.’ ”
Cruise is also said to be attached to “Food Fight,” a comedy about a snooty New York chef forced to cook at a school cafeteria.
After his falling-out with Paramount boss Sumner Redstone two years ago, Cruise and his producing partner, Paula Wagner, took over United Artists, which bombed with the anti-war “Lions for Lambs.” UA’s “Valkyrie” - a $100 million drama about the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler - is also said to be a turkey, having been postponed twice and now due out in February.
“It’s assumed the UA deal with Cruise and Wagner will be coming to an end,” said our source. “They haven’t greenlit a picture other than ‘Valkyrie’ and ‘Lions for Lambs.’ ”
UA production chief Jeff Kleeman has left after only 11 months, on the heels of marketing/publicity chief Dennis Rice, who left in July. UA is down to a skeleton crew and no rep could be reached.
She’s smiling hysterically, radiant, joyous one night then looks morose, despondent & suicidal the next morning.

Poor thing. Maybe the pressure of having to somehow hold her own on stage with REAL ACTORS has sunk in. She’ll be sharing the stage with actors who really know what to do on stage. Katie needs to run the other way to avoid the humiliation.

Well, Jackson, it is evidently true. Paula Wagner is leaving UA–probably dumped. This Tommy rumor is also out there on some of the more legit outlets. Just like the National Enquirer, Page Six sometimes gets it right!

To Number # 53 BEJEEBUS….. I’m sorry you missed me at Disney.. I guess some trend setters decided to brave the heat and show up the day WE were there. I know how hot it was, because i was wearing shorts and sweating and was there visiting my sister in Longwood, Florida. There would have been no purpose at all in making up such a ” dumb liar ” story. I could have done a MUCH better job than that, and gone to a exotic Island somewhere. People will wear anything to be seen in the moment, if it is on a celebrity at that time, whether they are comfortable or not.
