Hiya Alex–I agree the name Zuma is interesting..Do you or any JP fans know the origin and what it means? BTW, ave have you been?

Initially, I wasn’t feeling the name, but I would imagine that Kingston is going to have fun with it. Maybe, he’ll call his baby brother Zoom-Zoom, which is kinda cute. And depending on his disposition when he’s college-aged, I can hear drunken screams of Zuma! Zuma!

But the thing that tickles me the most is the fact that Lainey’s predictions about celebs birthing their babies on 08/08/08 didn’t come to pass. Except Clay Aiken. Imagine that… people giving birth when their bodies dictate versus the proclamation of numerology enthusiasts.

And is anyone else annoyed by the fact that Ricky Martin was able to have his twins in absolute privacy? Mind you, he isn’t enjoying the same media glare he had during his La Vida Loca days, and quite frankly, it’s not anyone’s business, but the fixation, stalking and chronic false reports the JPs experienced, again, points to the incompetence of the entertainment media. They went for what was easy and made jack@$$es of themselves and everyone who blindly relied on them for info.

she ought to take a page from Nicole Kidman’s book and let a kick-ass career be the best revenge. After all, she can’t beat the Jolie-Pitts at their own PR game, but a memorable guest stint (How I Met Your Mother, anyone?), a self-effacing cameo, or even a regular TV gig would do the talking better than the tabloids ever could.

Somehow I think Nicole would be very insulted by this comparison.

Nicole Kidman is a talented and gutsy actress, who, unfortunately has had a little too much botox put in her face. BUT Nicole didn’t end up with a kick ass career playing cute ingénues. I’ve seen her in Dead Calm, Bangkok Hilton, Far and Away, the Peacemaker, the Interpretator and Bewitched and I think she can play a variety of roles.

On the other hand I saw x in Derailed and it was X playing Rachel trying to be a femme fatale and failing.

As for x doing a regular TV gig to resuscitate her career - that is pure bunkum.

First, x said she didn’t want to back to TV – sort of beneath her;

Second, this writer makes it sound like its simple to do a successful TV series. Well, many series don’t get beyond the pilot, don’t stay beyond one or 2 seasons because they can’t sustain the interest. Matt Leblank, and Courtney Cox didn’t succeed. I can name several other actors and actresses who made it big in one TV series and then failed in a new one.

I admit I haven’t done the research but my guess is that the failure rate of sitcom actors to transition from one successful TV series to another is quite high.

I think one of the reasons for the high failure rate is that TV sitcom actors don’t need a wide range as actors, they just need to be good for that specific role.

In x’s case, she best played the cute ingénue, Rachel Green, starting as a 20 something. Now nearing 40, she isn’t believable as a cute ingénue, but neither is she believable as a career woman, a harassed mother, a crime scene investigator.

Now I’ve watched Desparate Housewives all of 2 times. However, from what I recall of DH, I think she can get a regular spot on it …. where she can play Rachel as a 40 something desparate housewife, after she married and divorced from Ross and is alone again and is serially dating anyone, in competition with the other desparate housewife who is a bit of a maneater.

If this ever happens, then remember, you saw my casting predictions first from Lylian!! heheheheheh

#1804: Now this is funny. Maybe Huvane shouldn’t be too obvious in his quest for the next Mr. Aniston. This article was even kinder and gentler than all the others but one thing stands out…everyone knows there is a problem. Cameron Diaz she ain’t. That girl can change boyfriends as often as Sienna does and people would say that even though they think it ’s kinda s.lutty behavior, these women don’t come out as poor victims. JA however comes out as desperate to find somebody and hold on to her man when dhe does. People are still rooting for poor Rachel to find a guy if only to show Ross (who’s already moved on and quite happy and comfortably settled with his new girlfriend BTW) she’s not some pathetic loser still hung up on him.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Mayer broke up with her by texting her “it’s over. Huvane could have shot that one down by now, if he weren’t afraid that Mayer might have saved the text. Wouldn’t that be a gas — if he saved it for publication in case Aniston gets nasty on him?
