Brad’s parents, Jane Pitt and William Pitt joined their son and their 3 1/2 year-old granddaughter for the fun day!

‘Hotel Rwanda’ and ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ star Don Cheadle walked the red carpet Thursday night in New York to premiere his exciting new international thriller ‘Traitor,’ in theaters August 27 — and he talked to ET about former co-stars Brad Pitt and Matt Damon’s new babies!
“[Brad and I] text back and forth, and Matt and I text back and forth; everybody’s got new babies now, so it’s really cool,” he tells ET about his ‘Ocean’s’ co-stars. “Now, you know, my kids are at the age where they can be babysitting their kids.”
The Academy Award-nominated Cheadle plays a former U.S. Special Operations officer who finds himself in the crosshairs when all clues in a dangerous international conspiracy seem to lead back to him. Is he really a traitor? Or can he prove his innocence and uncover the truth?
Directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (screenwriter of ‘The Day After Tomorrow’), the film also stars Guy Pearce, Jeff Daniels and Neal McDonough.

Everything is ready, except for the popcorn. The organizers of the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday announced the complete lineup of 312 films — 249 features and 63 shorts — that will screen next month at TIFF.
Yesterday’s list added 11 gala screenings, including Burn After Reading, the hotly anticipated new film directed by the Coen brothers and starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich and Tilda Swinton, all of whom are expected to attend the festival.

BELSTAFF is wearing its heart on its sleeve again, announcing a new collaboration with Audi to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur. Teaming up with charity Not On Our Watch, the two luxury brands will produce a NOOW branded Q7 to raise funds and support lifesaving projects in the troubled Sudanese region.
Earlier this year, Belstaff showed its commitment to international charitable causes by releasing a range of Free Tibet jackets - a cause that has been close to the brand’s heart since meeting the Dalai Lama in 2004.
The ongoing partnership between Belstaff and Not On Our Watch, the charity founded by Oceans Eleven stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, began last year and continues to raise awareness of global humanitarian crises.
Clooney and Pitt will host a fund raising dinner in Venice on August 26, during the city’s Film Festival, with guests from the worlds of entertainment, politics and culture expected to attend and show their support.

Venice film fest
After two glitzy years, in which the Lido seemed to be packed with glamorous celebrities starring in American-backed films, the 65th Venice Film Festival, which opens on Wednesday, is presenting itself simultaneously as a more Italian event and a festival with a broad global reach.
This year, English-language films are thinner on the ground; the British presence in Venice is sparse. In contrast, there are four Italian films out of 21 in competition for the main prize, The Golden Lion - which is surely a sign of Venice flexing its muscles as its country’s major film festival against such upstarts as Rome and Torino.
Bizarrely, this year the backdrop to the red carpet may be as much of an attraction as some films in competition. The great Italian-born production designer Dante Ferretti (who won Oscars for Sweeney Todd and The Aviator) has created a design with three golden lions bursting from a blank white cinema-style screen.
Advance word suggests it could hold its own at the Biennale’s art exhibition on Venice’s mainland. Director Wim Wenders chairs the film jury, which includes British visual artist Douglas Gordon and Italian actress Valeria Golino. Significantly, the festival’s lifetime achievement award this year goes to an Italian, director Ermanno Olmi.

The mood of this one is far lighter: it’s apparently a madcap comedy set in Washington DC, with George Clooney as a federal marshal, Tilda Swinton as his married lover, John Malkovich as a CIA analyst and Brad Pitt as a gym employee. At least it ensures the festival can boast a star-studded line-up on the red carpet for its opening night.

Thanks for all the videos, links and articles. I am glad the People Magazine and web site did good and set records. It shows that the jolie-Pitts are a popular family. AJ is an inspiration woman. She gets a lot of unfair and malicious hits in the media but keep rising above the melay to show the strong and inspiring woman she is. I wish her all the best. Angelina & Brad to Host Party for French Neighbors

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will reportedly throw a party for their neighbors in the French village of Brignol.
The superstar duo, who welcomed twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline July 12 in Nice, France, are hoping to integrate themselves into their French community.
Angelina, Brad and their six children are currently staying at nearby Chateau Miraval, a stunning 880-acre, $70 million wine estate the couple has leased for the next three years.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper Brangelina are being encouraged to host the fete by the local mayor. “They have met town officials who have said it is a tradition for newcomers to host an early evening drinks reception for everyone who lives in the village,” said the source.
Jolie, 33, and Pitt, 44, live close to actor Johnny Depp and his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, who own a vineyard just north of St. Tropez. “[Angelina and Brad] want to get immersed into village life and become real locals. Brad said they want to be like Johnny and Vanessa, who live a quiet life in nearby Plan de la Tour.”

“The issue’s 2.6 million newsstand sale is way above People’s average weekly newsstand sale of 1.5 million copies, but the issue has been on newsstands longer than a typical one. People released the issue on Aug. 4, two days before its regular newsstand drop date, and the issue will stay on stands for three weeks through Aug. 25. But People also raised its cover price for the special issue, to $4.49, or 50 cents more than its regular price. Along with the 2.6 million copies the issue is projecting to sell on newsstands, the babies also reached 2.3 million People subscribers, according to first-half numbers from the Audit Bureau of Circulations. ”
People magazine made $11,700,000 (2.6m x 4.50) in total from the sale.
The numbers are not final yet, another 3 days to run as sales of the magazine are on till 25 Aug. Sales may go up an additional 200k if there are people still waiting for their copies being delivered.
The numbers quoted do not show how much additional money People Magazine made by:
(a) increasing its subscription - we should get these numbers later in the year I think
(b) increasing its advertising rate for this issue and also future issues.
And of course the numbers do not show KUDOS value to People magazine and its website as the place to go for reliable celebrity news.
All told, it seems People made more than enough to cover share of the $14 million it paid for the photos.

Slightly OT…
Remember when Dr. Drew went on a tirade questioning Angelina’s drug past and its possible implications today? He was so definitive in his analysis in Playboy that it got some media play in the entertainment press. So tell me… will the fact that he endorsed and serve as a co-director of a treatment facility which had several suicides and rapes within a few months’ time get the same play? After all, he positioned himself as an authority in chemical dependency treatment and a champion of this facility.
I saw this story on Perez, which was initially from the LA Times; make no mistake… I realize that both have issues with reliability in reporting, but here’s the link:
