I love Prison Break, but this new season looks like summer camp and I hate the idea of Sara returning. I don’t dislike Sara, but she died and her return takes a lot of validity out of the show.

PB is my show so I’ll be watching no matter what but they said Sara was dead so let her be dead gotdamnit. I don’t like the broad, never did, never will *sigh*

He also looks so unhappy now that Callies is back and with good reason…..Please idiots out there no petitions to bring whoever is leaving back wasting your time and energy on crap!!.

Sara Tancredi not being an integral part for the show? I completely disagree. Who was the person who left the door open for them to be free? And there are numbers of reasoning why she’s a vital character and adds a major asset to the show.

I understand that a few people doesn’t like her character back, including you, so it seems, and that is okay. As far as her not having a job, excluding Prison Break, she was recently called upon to be a part of a new show. She’s marketable around the globe for her exceptional talent and attitude towards her fans. She has a lot of fans who appreciates her work, but if you think otherwise? That’s a matter of own personal taste and opinion.

Where have you read this? Are you just making it up? JJ topics? Where? You mean to say the one where they wanted to shoot her death scene after her maternity leave? Was that what you were referring to? Coz I can do a rebuttal and show you proofs of articles from TV Guide and other articles from magazine spreads that says that explain details and reasoning of her abrupt departure and why they decided to bring her back.

I would like to quote some of the mass letters sent to Fox network a couple of months ago:

I am writing to express my utter contempt at your removal of the character of Dr Tancredi from Prison Break, but before I start my tirade it might be prudent for you to know something about me.

I’m not a young, star-struck fangirl. On the contrary, I am a mature woman with a family, and excellent understanding of the distinction between real life and fantasy. I hail from a family where academic snobbery abounds, and I am a true product of this environment. I say this to neither big note or belittle - I simply want you to get an idea that many of your watchers are capable, balanced and relatively insightful people.

Prison Break has been my favourite form of television escapism (pun intended) for the past two seasons, but due to your treatment of my favourite character, combined with your irksome manipulation of the internet rumour mongers, I am abandoning the show with a heavy heart. It didn’t have to be this way, but from all accounts you are not particularly worried about losing fans who are disillusioned with the Tancredi Beheading Storyline.

I wonder if you understand the type of meltdown you have caused? You must! Surely you are not testosterone-hewn ignoramuses, sitting about on your laurels with little or no concept of how decapitating a strong, smart female character would affect viewers?

Heck, even my bilingual, professor-computer-nerd spouse is amazed at this turn of events, and he rarely watches television at all! He ponders about the motivation, about the need to shock and disturb in this particular show. Being a firm fan of very violent shows, like The Sopranos and Oz and a lover of movies such as Se7en, All things Tarantino and Kubrick, he sees nothing cutting edge (pun intended) about the beheading of a respected character.

In fact, in our discussions of the subject, all we see is imitation and an attempt to badly finalize a story arc that could have gone many places, but was slaughtered by inadequacies with character understanding, writing quandaries and creative ideas.

Very disappointing. Something we certainly didn’t expect after the claustrophobic tightness of Season 1, nor the slightly whimsical threads of The Manhunt in Season 2.

The following is something I posted on my writing blog regarding the senseless, stressful build up you created about Sarah Wayne Callies’ return/non return - and it seems appropriate to quote it here. Again, I’m unsure whether you understand the disruption you have caused to Season Three for some of the Dr Sara fans - many have been unable to reconcile the current plot nuances with the Prison Break they have known and loved for the past two years.

This is taken from a discussion some weeks before the final ‘reveal’ was made about Dr Tancredi’s fate in 3:04, when some of the fans were struggling to make sense of the rumours and conjecture:

Recently, I have been wondering about the internet making us into ‘need to know now’ people, and this is probably true about the scenario with SWC - we are being held in suspense and we hate (using your words) ‘feeling powerless about it.’ I agree with this. I hate it too, but I think it is more than that.

We are being treated like dimwit fruitcakes to some extent. We love a show, we are interested in the characters and most of us are balanced and insightful enough to comprehend that often family is far more important than work. I think this is concrete in my head - a decision of an actress to leave a TV show as she embarks on a new phase of her life is a temperate, understandable action to take.

I wonder if the anger/disappointment/sense of upset you feel is the way it has been handled? The smugness of the bloggers (needing to protect their own interests, of course, but still nauseatingly satisfied in their own knowledge) the carefully worded statements of a writer who has used his name in PB to sell a novel (he might be very nice and very hardworking, but he has also achieved publicity from his internet exposure) the complete silence on the matter of the actress. We are being asked to love a show that is effectively treating us as people who are unable to understand and properly appreciate a story because we know of a decision made by an actress?

Hmm.

The move to kill Sara Tancredi is mind-boggling to say the least (and this is me putting on my rational hat and being awfully calm).

I enjoyed Prison Break for its silly twists and turns - totally unrealistic but very addictive - and I especially appreciated the quieter moments between Michael and Sara. Brief respites of humanity amidst the horror of Fox River. Season One was fun.

Season 2 started to show a lot of wear and tear I thought. The silly twists and turns started to feel like padding to fill out the full 20+ episode season. Things started to drag. Still the closet romantic in me liked the Michael-Sara dynamic. Their friendship/romance was a nice contrast to all the male testosterone and conspiracy theory going on.

Alas, the drastic axing of Sara (pun fully intended) from the series reeks of desperation. Doesn’t this remind one of ‘Alien3′ when everything good and great about ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’ was wiped out in the opening credits with the death of Newt and Hicks? And then Ripley kills herself. It basically makes a mockery of the earlier films. Yes, indeed, it is a slap in the face of folks who have cheered Ripley on in the 1st 2 Alien films.

The killing of a well-loved character colours everything that has gone before. How could one view PB Season 1 and 2 again without the image of the box in one’s mind? Not very subtle people, not very subtle.

We viewers have received the tightest slap across our faces. Two wonderful seasons unceremoniously flushed down the drain. Not sure if I’ll be following Season 3. Unless Dr Tancredi makes a surprises resurrection (in a conspiracy theory world, anything can happen right?).

Glad to see so many REAL (albeit former) fans of this show agreeing with what I have been saying for MONTHS now: bringing Sara back is a mistake and turns this show into a total joke. It was never very realistic, but bringing back headless characters just to please the loser fans of Sara? They obviously have no life of their own and no love life of their own, so they have to escape into the characters of Michael/Sara…its rather sad. And the writers are catering to THEM–people who left the show and stopped watching when she was killed off–instead of catering to the fans who stuck with the show…thanks alot, writers! Well, the MiSa fans and the writers of PB are about to find out what the writers and fans of “Jericho” found out last season…pleasing internet obsessed, petition-writing, LOSER fans will NOT save your show! In fact, it may very well hasten its decline! Everyone I know isn’t going to bother watching this show anymore. When I told them Sara was coming back, they were like, “WHat? That’s stupid. I won’t watch that.” Every thining fan with half a brain in their head is going to be insulted by Sara’s return, not estatic…and the ratings will prove that. mark me words.

We saw her severed head!! She was dead. And SWC and WM have NO chemistry anyway…she was a boring, unneccesary character, and alot of fans were HAPPY when she was killed off. I can’t believe the writers are so stupid that they think all the fans of this show are MiSa fans and care so much about Michael/Sara–this was never a show about romance, for ****’s sake!

William Fichtner and Dom Purcell look so unhappy ever since she got back…and Wentworth hasn’t exactly been doing cartwheels either. They know it turns their show into a total joke. I feel sorry for them. Hopefully the show will get cancelled so they can move on to other projects.

If it does do badly in the ratings and/or get cancelled, I will be laughing at all the pathetic Sara fans who seem to think this is the greatest thing ever. They obviously wouldn’t know decent plot, decent writing or even decent acting if they fell over it. Like I said, the show was never that great, but now it is no better then one of those daytime soap operas where they bring back dead people all time!

I won’t be watching. Life is too short for bad TV and I have a life, unlike the Sara lovers!

I watched this promo at work today and it was the first time I had heard that Sara was coming back.

I was shocked (and NOT in a good way) and played it for two co-worker friends of mine that I know watch PB. Their reaction was the same as mine: They were horrified that they are going to bring back a dead character, someone none of us ever even cared for in the first place.

We actually talked about it at lunch and I may still watch the show, but my two friends said they won’t even watch because its just an insult to the fans. She was dead. We saw her head in the box. What? Did Lincoln mistakenly identify her head? That’s pretty weak! I don’t buy it.

She was dead, and she should have stayed dead. It added drama to the show that we never knew who was going to be killed off next. Now that drama is destroyed because we all know that if someone is killed off now, all that has to happen is for some obsessed fans to fold up a bunch of papare cranes and we’ll get that person back next season. Totally stupid and ruins the integrity of the show.

Sara was never a necessary part of the show andjust because a bunch of internet fans have too much time on their hands, I don’t think the writers should cater to that.

Jeeze, people. Some of you really do hit new highs for stupidity.

I don’t say this to ‘upset’ anyone or to start a sh*t storm, but because it’s true: Wentworth is gay, and he and Sarah Callies are just very good friends. She is well aware that he is gay, and is a really good friend of his. There is no romantic relationship between them (nor has there ever been), but they are good friends.

Anyone who is *jealous* of Sarah Callies because they think there is some romantic ‘thing’ with Wentworth is completely on the wrong track. The reason they flirt so openly when she is married is because SWC and her husband know there is absolutely no threat from Went Miller, whose romantic interests lie in a totally different direction.

Again, not saying this to start some ‘gay’ discussion but because it’s the truth, and reading so much ridiculousness is just irritating.

The writers had already planted the idea in “Orientacion” that Sarah might be mistaken for dead. I suppose tall, relatively lanky brunettes are a dime a dozen in Panama.

I’m also surprised to find the gay/not gay “debates” more interesting to read than the SWC haters club and their insistence on her throwing herself at Miller every chance she got. [I got the opposite vibe during some if not most of season two.] and how unhappy everyone in the cast is about it. [Again, I just don't see it.]

What is this I have seen spoliers and promos for this new season is this going to be the Sarah Wayne Callies and Michael and Sara show.They mostly are kissing in different scenes who are these stupid writers aiming this new season towards the MiSa bird brains.Because from what I read the majority of the viewers of this show are mostly guys.I think that the men don’t care as much for the Michael Sara relationship.Sara’s character served a purpose in season One and half of season Two but they should have eliminated her in the end of season Two.Now she just looks like a weak pathetic woman still running around with Michael a man who has put her through so much very weak.If this Sarah woman with her un charistmatic dull performance is going to be in every scene and episode this season is so not worth watching at all wasting an hour’s worth of time on this horrid show no way.

Why would she run around on her own in Panama City when she knows some pretty nasty folks are looking for her, rather than go to the man she loves or his brother for protection and help?? To me it makes perfect sense that Sara is still alive. In season 2 when she was kidnapped and tortured by Kellerman she was really strong and didn’t give in to him then she escaped. So it makes perfect sense that she would escape from Gretchen also. The company couldn’t admit that she had escaped because that would show weakness on their part. So they pretended they had killed her which really brought home how much danger LJ was in. It was a strategy that worked. It makes perfect sense to me.

Also, I find it very funny that as upset as some were that he was seen out with MacFarlane, not so much because it was him, but because there was the automatic assumption that they were dating.

How is this, some claim to have seen him with a european chick, different again? Were these people formally introduced to her and it was clearly stated she was a girlfriend? Or is it just being implied by posting a “fact” of them being seen out and about by two people who happen to post here?

I hate to say “I told you so” but, I told you so!!! I was being criticized for saying that PB was going to be a stupid show when It was first announced that the guys were going to end up in Sona. People were telling me not to judge the show when it hadn’t even started yet but I knew this show was going down hill. Now they are going to break in as opposed to break out?? OMG this show really sucks its sooooooooooooooooo repetitive. I think the only reason ppl watch this show is because they can’t get enough of Wentworth and the “Misa” fans are to delusional to turn off the t.v. UGGGGHH!!!

I didn’t even bother to watch the two hour premiere. I was watching the simpsons and after they were over, Prison Break started and I was like oh hell no!!! so I changed it to the foodnetwork and watched alton brown’s good eats LOL!! I really hope they got bad ratings so that they understand how bad their show is ha ha ha ha.

Wentworth road is starting with a “b” and he lives three houses from a shop that sells electric appliances. It’s an apartment.. There is a lot of security and I haven’t seen two names (not even his). But he comes and goes.

First of all, you have your opinion, and I have mine!!!
Second, I NEVER stated that she CRAVES attention from men AS A FACT!!! I merely stated an opinion and I said she LOOKS like she craves attention from men.
Lastly, I don’t want to star in a any “hit” show t.v. or be on t,v. PERIOD!!! that’s why I am NOT TRYING to ACT!!!!! SHE IS and she’s doing a HORRIBLE JOB AT IT!!!! That’s why she’s been “acting” for that long and yet she is STILL NOT known!!! If she would have been good at her job, she would have been up with the A list actresses but she freakin sucks that’s why she’s a D lister. In my opinion she’s an F lister. The point I was trying to make is that she DOES star in a hit TV show, which demonstrates a great deal of success in her chosen career, so how can anyone possibly call her a loser.

Also, you say ‘I said she LOOKS like she craves attention from men.’ The issue I have with this is, how can you possibly tell by LOOKING what she craves.

She CO-stars in a “hit” tv show. I truly believe that the only reason for the show’s success is because of Wentworth’s HUGE fan base. It’s insane that someone can keep an entire show running like he can just because of such the huge amount of fans that he has. If it were not for Went being on the show, Sarah would not have much publisity and the show would have crappier ratings than it already has. It already lost over 1 million views on premiere night. Its a bad show with a bad side-kick (sara).

From the way she acts during interviews (body language) or how she poses on pictures (the NY upfronts with her lifting her already short dress) She looks like she’s craving attention. I don’t like ppl that give off that sort of vibe. Seems she’s insecure. She’s just ridiculous!!! end of story.

As far as those lost viewers are concerned. They can be found on a site called BitTorrent. This is a site where you can go to download the shows that you weren’t able to watch during their regularly scheduled times on TV. According to the site, as of September 3, 2008, there was a total of 1,173,667 downloads of the September 1st episodes of PB, as well as 162,728 incomplete downloads. Which if the imcomplete downloads had succeded would have made a total of 1,336,395 downloads of the show as of September 3rd. Which as you can see, more than makes up for the “over a million lost viewers.”
And this does not even include other sites where the show would be available for download. I am sure that would bring the total up even higher.
In this digital age where there are so many ways to view show, it is a little presumtive to base a shows success solely on the ratings that it gets on TV.

The 2 first episodes,was great! So much happned!!! I think the “Sara beeing alive” and the Misa reunion was done in a sensible way!
Can’t wait for the next episode!

a single person could have downloaded the show a bunch of times. Of course I am not saying a single person did download the show over a million times, I am just trying to say that if tv ratings were not so important anymore, it would have been said that prison break lost over a million viewers including internet downloads. tv ratings is where fox gets their numbers from. If ppl only watched pb online, do you really think the show would make as much money?? tv ratings are gold and if they lose those, they lose. I am just saying…

everyone who’s saying it takes validity out of the show for them to have brought back sarah obviously wasnt paying very much attention to the show. unless u see someone with a bullet in their head they are most likely not dead. –spoiler alert– such as when they supposedly shot kellerman i’m not convinced he’s dead. and when they supposedly shot gretchen in season 4 and yet at the end of the episode there she is getting tortured. and mahone even got shot in the chest and is still out there being shady. and c-note attempts to commit suicide but now he’s happily living with his family. and sara od’ed in the first season and yet she’s still alive and kicking. pay attention!!! these writers love to pretend to kill off characters and if you all havent realized that by now and are “bummed” that sarah is back, u really have not been paying that close attention to this show. so for all you who hate sarah just because u want wentworth for yourself, or think there’s no “chemistry” between michael and sara on the show, buck up, put on ur big girl panties and deal with it. sara is a big asset to the show and the writers would not have brought her back without having a good reason. if u really dont like the way the show’s turning out, go to college and learn to be a writer instead of crying about it.

OMG…this season is sooo much more fun than the last one!!! Having Sara back and being out of that grimy Sona is such a relief!

MiSa is the best couple on TV!! I’m so happy that FOX recognized their mistake and brought Sarah Wayne Callies back. While they have very little screen time, Michael and Sara still manage to convey their love and tenderness for each other. Sara kissing the top of Michael’s head at the end of the 3rd episode was so sweet and so realistic.

I wish there was a lot more MiSa, but it’s not a romance, after all, so I’ll try to be content with a few minutes out of each episode. Went and Sarah deserve a lot of credit for making the most of the little dialogue they have together, and for creating the best couple on TV!!!.

incredible a bunch of foreigners dictating the show that’s why is still on…If the PB crew likes the ratings the people from outside the US gives them why don’t they just air it outside the US only.The show is tanking here in America and with good reason it is a snoozefest….I am sure the people outside the USA ones’ they see the twisted mess of season 4 will be disappointed and won’t want to watch it either!!!!!
