Wentworth, please come out of the closet already! Everyone knows you’re gayer than Neil Patrick Harris and Lance Bass put together.

oh gooooooooooooooooosh ! OMGG!!!! I LOOOVE THIS PICS! IT’S GONNA GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK! WENTWORTH EARL MILLER III IS THE HOTTEST MAN ALIVE !

1)I’m a girl and I’m not gay
2)sorry for my english,it’s not my mother language

Well by the looks of it, a lot of people are more than thrilled for season 4 in comparison to S3. I’ve never been this elated for a season premiere in the past and I am looking forward to Labor Day.

As for Sara’s character as being merely a love interest for Michael, I have to disagree on that. She has more to offer and the actress is just a phenomenal talent. That’s why she’s gaining fans by the minute and not only that, she’s a wonderful person.

Sara Tancredi not being an integral part for the show? I completely disagree. Who was the person who left the door open for them to be free? And there are numbers of reasoning why she’s a vital character and adds a major asset to the show.

she was only a part of the plan.stop
Doc Sara close to Mike is like an ice cube…not like talentless actress Callies close to Miller….she seems to appreciates a lot….
I’ve never liked her and I will never do

Reminder:she was soooooooo smart for the “resurrection” thing ’cause no one called her for job….she was also so sure of the MISA thing even to ask more money….more money Mrs Callies??for what????
“Uhm..Michael..uhm.” “A filet mignon Michael uhm…”
is it acting???????

@Wentlove,

I understand that a few people doesn’t like her character back, including you, so it seems, and that is okay. As far as her not having a job, excluding Prison Break, she was recently called upon to be a part of a new show. She’s marketable around the globe for her exceptional talent and attitude towards her fans. She has a lot of fans who appreciates her work, but if you think otherwise? That’s a matter of own personal taste and opinion.

@Paulina :I’m just saying real facts,she herself said in an interview:”I’d axcept immediatly to come back in PB cuase I don’t have a role now,I need to find a job”…you can find it here on JJ,topic “Fox made me quit”…..and it wasn’t true,we all know!

The fact she’s so marketable and very talented is your own opinion,not facts.

I’m sure we won’t see her so much after PB

“I’d axcept immediatly to come back in PB cuase I don’t have a role now,I need to find a job””

Where have you read this? Are you just making it up? JJ topics? Where? You mean to say the one where they wanted to shoot her death scene after her maternity leave? Was that what you were referring to? Coz I can do a rebuttal and show you proofs of articles from TV Guide and other articles from magazine spreads that says that explain details and reasoning of her abrupt departure and why they decided to bring her back.

Woah, lovely pics. Thanks for sharing JJ.

I can’t wait for season 4.

I would like to quote some of the mass letters sent to Fox network a couple of months ago:

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my utter contempt at your removal of the character of Dr Tancredi from Prison Break, but before I start my tirade it might be prudent for you to know something about me.

I’m not a young, star-struck fangirl. On the contrary, I am a mature woman with a family, and excellent understanding of the distinction between real life and fantasy. I hail from a family where academic snobbery abounds, and I am a true product of this environment. I say this to neither big note or belittle - I simply want you to get an idea that many of your watchers are capable, balanced and relatively insightful people.

Prison Break has been my favourite form of television escapism (pun intended) for the past two seasons, but due to your treatment of my favourite character, combined with your irksome manipulation of the internet rumour mongers, I am abandoning the show with a heavy heart. It didn’t have to be this way, but from all accounts you are not particularly worried about losing fans who are disillusioned with the Tancredi Beheading Storyline.

I wonder if you understand the type of meltdown you have caused? You must! Surely you are not testosterone-hewn ignoramuses, sitting about on your laurels with little or no concept of how decapitating a strong, smart female character would affect viewers?

Heck, even my bilingual, professor-computer-nerd spouse is amazed at this turn of events, and he rarely watches television at all! He ponders about the motivation, about the need to shock and disturb in this particular show. Being a firm fan of very violent shows, like The Sopranos and Oz and a lover of movies such as Se7en, All things Tarantino and Kubrick, he sees nothing cutting edge (pun intended) about the beheading of a respected character.

In fact, in our discussions of the subject, all we see is imitation and an attempt to badly finalize a story arc that could have gone many places, but was slaughtered by inadequacies with character understanding, writing quandaries and creative ideas.

Very disappointing. Something we certainly didn’t expect after the claustrophobic tightness of Season 1, nor the slightly whimsical threads of The Manhunt in Season 2.

The following is something I posted on my writing blog regarding the senseless, stressful build up you created about Sarah Wayne Callies’ return/non return - and it seems appropriate to quote it here. Again, I’m unsure whether you understand the disruption you have caused to Season Three for some of the Dr Sara fans - many have been unable to reconcile the current plot nuances with the Prison Break they have known and loved for the past two years.

This is taken from a discussion some weeks before the final ‘reveal’ was made about Dr Tancredi’s fate in 3:04, when some of the fans were struggling to make sense of the rumours and conjecture:

Recently, I have been wondering about the internet making us into ‘need to know now’ people, and this is probably true about the scenario with SWC - we are being held in suspense and we hate (using your words) ‘feeling powerless about it.’ I agree with this. I hate it too, but I think it is more than that.

We are being treated like dimwit fruitcakes to some extent. We love a show, we are interested in the characters and most of us are balanced and insightful enough to comprehend that often family is far more important than work. I think this is concrete in my head - a decision of an actress to leave a TV show as she embarks on a new phase of her life is a temperate, understandable action to take.

I wonder if the anger/disappointment/sense of upset you feel is the way it has been handled? The smugness of the bloggers (needing to protect their own interests, of course, but still nauseatingly satisfied in their own knowledge) the carefully worded statements of a writer who has used his name in PB to sell a novel (he might be very nice and very hardworking, but he has also achieved publicity from his internet exposure) the complete silence on the matter of the actress. We are being asked to love a show that is effectively treating us as people who are unable to understand and properly appreciate a story because we know of a decision made by an actress?

Hmm.

(continuation…)

As I said to muldy, I would have been a sad viewer had I known that SWC was leaving. I would have watched and been sad. Now I am quite pissed. I feel confused, stupid, disillusioned, embarrassed for feeling this way, disgruntled, unsure about how I feel towards a show I have loved for two seasons. Just because I hate being treated like a fuel (Kath and Kim for fool.
Maybe I am over reacting, but as a fan I feel the recent level of dangling the carrot has been taken a bit too far. If she’s gone, thank heavens we finally know (as you said, you need closure). If not, and its been a fake, I will be equally pissed off and embarrassed for feeling this way.

Yes, it’s their right to protect storylines, ratings, viewers interest - its their right to build the suspense and keep the audience guessing. The way they have gone about it doesn’t ring true to me, and I am not usually sanctimonious, but it is an appalling way to treat lovers of the show.

I think Fi said (above) that TV is her place of happiness. I usually find a relaxing form of entertainment there. This situation is neither relaxing nor entertaining, it simply is an abuse of power and an ordinary way to ostracize people who could have loved a show until the end.

And, to conclude, none of this really has much to do with SWC’s decision - I mean, of course I will miss her like a loved character, and be very disappointed about the non-event of the M/S relationship. It is the disdain for plain speak I find most annoying.

And, now we know the truth. Dr Tancredi was going to die anyway, the actress seemingly reneged on this Season 3 structure, so you stuffed her head in a box.

Delightful.

You might not be too worried about this letter from someone you don’t know - who could well be a lonely, miserly, delusional, ill-equipped fangirl. You might sit in your ivory towers polishing your small baubles of fame related to Seasons 1 & 2 thinking ‘oh well, some of the girly, crazy fans are going to be lost…who cares? We’ll pick up others along the way. And there are still those watching for Wentworth and the relationship between the brothers, and the havoc which is Bagwell…’

True. This is very true, and I appreciate this because I have friends who love these elements of the storyline.

And you may well be able to attract viewers and ratings by brutally decapitating a favourite character and manipulating online media by creating a seismic build up. Yes, you just might. Perhaps the ratings for 3:04 will suggest this has been a truly kick ass move, and you can enclose yourself in the smug knowledge of a ratings boom for a while.

But what you won’t attract - will never attract - is respect. In fact, I will go as far to say that you gave us three, strong and smart woman at the beginning of Season 1, females many of the gender could relate to. Unfortunately, the respect shown to them has involved bullets, dismemberment, water torture, decapitation and incest with a fugly sibling.

What a way to win female viewers.

I wish all the existing actors well with their efforts for Season 3. Congratulations to them for a wonderfully compelling stint in roles that could have entertained us all until the very last day. I’m sure with their magnificent aesthetic appeal, combined with their extremely likable characteristics, they will be able to carryon making an adequate show without the phenomenally cool Dr Sara Tancredi.

Its true what they say, life’s not meant to be easy. My television decisions are, though.

Thanks for the memory,
mrs_spleen, Australia.

The move to kill Sara Tancredi is mind-boggling to say the least (and this is me putting on my rational hat and being awfully calm).

I enjoyed Prison Break for its silly twists and turns - totally unrealistic but very addictive - and I especially appreciated the quieter moments between Michael and Sara. Brief respites of humanity amidst the horror of Fox River. Season One was fun.

Season 2 started to show a lot of wear and tear I thought. The silly twists and turns started to feel like padding to fill out the full 20+ episode season. Things started to drag. Still the closet romantic in me liked the Michael-Sara dynamic. Their friendship/romance was a nice contrast to all the male testosterone and conspiracy theory going on.

Alas, the drastic axing of Sara (pun fully intended) from the series reeks of desperation. Doesn’t this remind one of ‘Alien3′ when everything good and great about ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’ was wiped out in the opening credits with the death of Newt and Hicks? And then Ripley kills herself. It basically makes a mockery of the earlier films. Yes, indeed, it is a slap in the face of folks who have cheered Ripley on in the 1st 2 Alien films.

The killing of a well-loved character colours everything that has gone before. How could one view PB Season 1 and 2 again without the image of the box in one’s mind? Not very subtle people, not very subtle.

We viewers have received the tightest slap across our faces. Two wonderful seasons unceremoniously flushed down the drain. Not sure if I’ll be following Season 3. Unless Dr Tancredi makes a surprises resurrection (in a conspiracy theory world, anything can happen right?).

Need to read more? Or are those two comments more than enough? There were about hundreds of letters, just like those two sent to numerous executives from Fox network.

WORD! Thanks, RC, for posting these.

Though I would like to read more. It flutters my heart to see all these comments made by fans that were adamant to bring Sarah’s character back on Prison Break.

Thanks again for sharing.

@RC:so what?It’s just an ordinary opinion,I have opinion,you have opinions…you know?It doesn’t proof anything

@Paulina:do you really think they had care about the fans opinion???
You’re blind…come on..it was just a managment and money game…grow up
They give the MISA love a ****:they want to make money with the show and she needs to have a job

Open your eyes

I’m not a Starbuck’s girl,here we don’t have,and I have a family too…

You can see some of the numerous projects and sorts the fans came up with. The most recent and last one I believe was posted on the link provided (I think there were about 8-10 mass mailings in total). There were also other affiliates around the globe that helped tremendously. I read somewhere that we had a lot of help from Spain, though I am not completely sure.

I will post a couple more if I read snarky comments around here. I think it’s about time to rectify and not make it one track sided. Sarah’s character, Sara Tancredi is just not for the romance.

@RC:so what?It’s just an ardinary opinion…you know,I have opinions,you have opinions….
I’m not a Starbuck’s fangirl and I have a family too….

@Paulina:Do you really think they had care about the MISA thing???
Come on,open your eyes…it was just a managment and money game!!!

Sorry for making you upset, but right now, I would like to ignore you. Have a great day.

sorry for double post,it didn’t work for awhile,excuse me!

There were also petitions for not bringing her back…
so?

@RC:I don’t get your thought,sorry,have a great day!

@RC,

Woah! That was one heck of a campaign. It look so organized and most of the people behind it are simply talented. Very remarkable and just staggering. Thank you for sharing ;)

As for me, I’m glad that Sarah is back. Though I am more interested in looking at the hot guys. Tehehehe but I’m glad that Sara is back nonetheless.

RC,

Okay I admit, SWC must be just wonderful to have all those dedicated fans. I mean OMFG! So how many affiliates do they have exactly? Do you know?

And did you see this? LOOK AT ALL THOSE CRANES! Amazing. And that was the first attempt of folding them. I can only imagine how it panned out over the months of campaigning I read that someone was able to fold 1000 of it :O

Bwahahaha! Look at this. So damn clever and witty!!! Dang now I wished I could have been there tagging along!!! The community looks so much fun :D
