Selma Blair is Bikini-licious
Selma Blair throws on a shiny pink bikini, heart sunglasses and a cowgirl hat while filming a pool scene for her new TV comedy, Kath & Kim, in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Kath & Kim details the misadventures of dysfunctional mother Kath (Molly Shannon) and daughter Kim (Blair) living in a suburban community in Florida. It’s an adaptation of the Australian television comedy series of the same name.
The comedy series will enter NBC’s primetime lineup on October 9, 2008, where it will air on Thursday nights.

I dont think it’ll be as good as the aussie version….its not so much the storylines etc but rather the actors and how halarious they are.
The lady who plays Kim in the aussie version is halarious and frankly SB is not.
Its one of the best aussie shows but, lol…is it coming back on soon? Any aussies know?
I cant believe they are trying to make their own version of Kath & Kim. The original (australian show) is hilarious. Apparently Amercians wont understand the jokes so it wont be aired there, therefore America is making their own version.
If America cant understand the Aussie Jokes, does that mean Australia cant understand all the American Jokes in the American TV shows that are aired in Aus?

The funny thing about Kath & Kim is that it’s Australian humour. Leave it alone, America, it’s not going to work for you.
Selma does not have the most perfect body, but that’s ok. I like the fact she’s not ashamed of what she looks like, & the fact she hasn’t had her small breasts enlarged!
Its so stupid that America is making thier own version of K&K i mean…Our Aussie version would kick this one’s butt. Its practically not even the same as our K&K…Kath & Kim is after all about the Aussie humour..

I was wondering if this bikini is intentionally unflattering for the sake of humor! The truth is that many actresses have boyish figures like Selma’s- small breasts, no waist- but they wear bikinis that hide those aspects of their bodies, while this bikini seems to accentuate them!
This show is going to fail. Selma is a really bad actress and a total *****. Who wants to see her in anything? Her career is over. Not like it ever really begun. She looks like a morph of rumor willis and kelly osbourne.
Im going to try to be positive with this post, but I can’t help to notice the bulge in her bikini. Does she have a ***** or enormous labias. Strange looking.
She’s got nothing going for her. She’s not attractive at all and almost ugly. Has the most annoying bland personality, and is a bad actress. Why is she in anything? Nobody has ever watched anything she’s in ever.

I remember reading somewhere that Selma gained weight to play to role. And yes, the character is meant to be a highly strung 20-something woman (the daugher of Kath) living out in the suburbs who thinks she is super hot (when she’s really not) and copies every latest trend so matter how insideous.
this sucks- kim in the original one is supposed to be fat but think she’s skinny and wear hideously revealing clothes, not actually be built like a rake…

She is playing a character who does not wear flattering clothes. She is supposed to look like she does in the photos - that’s what the character looks like. It’s satirical. Humorous. A joke. Haha.
In the Aussie version (the original!) Kim is much fatter and she wears revealing clothes all the time - shes not supposed to look good!
Sharon isn’t even in the American version! Her character has been changed into a gay man to ’suit the American market’!?
I’m sorry, but is that to say that whilst an American woman’s best friend is a homosexual man and an Australian’s womans is a Tom Boy woman who loves to play sport and has a massive crush on a cricket star?
I’m sorry, this version is going to absolutely flop… it doesn’t even reflect the heart of the original show! But even the original would flop… majority of the jokes are pointing fingers at Bogan Australians or Yankee Americans… that kind of humour wont be appreciated by Americans.
First Dancing with the Stars (though thats not a comedy show - thank God!), then Thankgod You’re Here (which they ruined too) and now our beloved Kath and Kim… can’t Americans just show the original version, and appreciate that our humour - the original humour of the shows - are better than American humour.
Selma is beautiful!!!!!! She could wear a tater sack and look adorable. BUT, those sunglasses need to go back from whence they came.
What is wrong with you guys? She is SUPPOSED to look awful - it’s a satirical show which is poking fun at the fact that many young women out there wear hideously unflattering, tacky clothing which is the latest ‘trend’.

Watching the show I don’t think Americans would get a lot of the jokes - like where Kath says “blame John Howard” and Kim says “who?” - it’s funny because she doesn’t know the prime minister of her own nation but Americans probably wouldn’t know who John Howard is anyway so wouldn’t get the joke. The dry humour and satire they use isn’t common in America either.
Americans have no originality because they have no personality.
A country with personality is consistently imaginative.

If you’ve watched the Australian version, the daughter Kath is supposed to be unattractive, trashy and poorly dressed but has the illusion that she’s really hot and really trendy.
