OlderSophia Bush Hits Up Smashbox Studios
Sophia Bush is seen in Beverly Hills, California on her way to a photo shoot at Smashbox Studios in Culver City on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old One Tree Hill star will be starring in an upcoming film called The Narrows. The film is based on Tim McLoughlin’s novel “Heart of the Old Country”, which sees Mike Manadoro (Kevin Zegers), a 19 year old Brooklyn boy who is torn between two worlds of his new college life and his tight knit Italian neighborhood roots.
Sophia plays Kathy Popovich, a beautiful, cool, intellectual young woman who meets Mike at NYU, but he already has responsibility to his long term, girlfriend Gina (Monica Keena) from the neighborhood he’s promised to marry.

She wasn’t calling Rosie a liar. She was saying that it was a PR stunt by Sophia. Not surprising as she’s also been photographed, wearing a dress, cleaning up a clean beach (anyone who actually does volunteer work will tell you that you don’t show up to clean up a beach wearing a cute summer dress). Sophia is very savvy when it comes to PR, but its fake.
I don’t really think there are a lot of genuine people in Hollywood. You have to be a little cutthroat to make it in that environment. Sophia definitely strikes me as someone who puts on a public persona to be likable and relatable, but its just an act to get her what she wants: fame. Especially when you take into consideration that a lot of the bts talk about Sophia paints her as the witch with a B of the OTH set.

Sophia does drink….thats no secret. But then again so do most people. What annoys me is how just because someone is an actor or actress, people think that these stars should be saints or martyrs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is NOTHING wrong with drinking. Just as long as you don’t do something stupid such as drink and drive.
I’ve met Sophia before a few times because I absolutely LOVE her and she is always such a total sweetheart and just a really big pleasure to be around. I am a diehard Sophia Bush fan and I think she is an absolutely WONDERFUL actress.
I know people who work on set of OTH down in Wilmington and they always say that this crap you hear about Sophia being mean is nothing but crap and lies.
Sophia is one of the nicest people of the entire cast. She’s always really nice and friendly with her fans and doesn’t act like a diva. She’s a very respectful person which is kind of rare to find in Hollywood these days.
SophiaFan, its not that its wrong to drink. I’m sure everyone on the cast does it and so do most of the people commenting here. But none of them have said that its only okay to go out and get drunk when you’re young enough not to know better. None of them have tried to sell themselves as homebodies that never party the way that she has. The act of partying is not what turns people off. Its that she’s a hypocrite about it.
And Shana, the rumors of her being a diva come from people on set too. Everything, both the stuff about her being a sweetheart and the stuff about her being a jerk, is all hearsay. But generally speaking, when the rumors are as widespread and as long lasting as they are about her, they’re not completely unfounded.
I’ve heard that Sophia has treated her co-workers and crew like crap and is a big diva so many different time and from so many different people, some of which, give out information about upcoming cast sightings and spoilers that I find it hard to believe that they are all liars. I’ve also read at least 10 different accounts of fans who were hurt by how cold she was to them, especially when she was the reason they were visiting.
If I’m correct she studied Journalism in college so she probably has some background info on public relations. A lot of stuff that she does seem stunted. When you get photographers to take pictures of you in a pretty dress cleaning a very beautiful and already clean beach, that strikes me as being a publicity stunt.
It’s not wrong to desire fame. From what I’ve seen Sophia tries very, very hard to do anything possible and remotely reachable to further her fame. The only thing is, it doesn’t always seem genuine and from the heart but there really aren’t that many truly kindhearted and generous celebrities out there anyway. Most of them are out there for numero uno, themselves, and Sophia seems to be another one.
I agree so much with #51. sophia’s intentions are probably very good, for herself. she tries so hard to be this girl everybody and their evil and good neighbours like. and i didn’t say that she wasnt allowed to drink. i solely commented on somebody else who said that she doesn’t drik and do this and that. she does. have you seen the picture of her drunk of her ass her shirt unbuttoned and ehr purple bra so visible. yeah that is classy.
she was rude when i met her. she kept yammering on and on about not having time to sign silly things. she had plans. and i along with others respected that but she then turned arond and asked some of the set people if they could make a dinner reservation for her only to sit and wait. i was so dissapointed and i had my little sister who loves her and is a big fan with me. she still likes her , she is little and didn’t understand the rudeness. but i did and i found it disrespectful. it comes with the job. it could have been a bad day…. but some of her fans desperately try to shove her down our throats telling everybody she is classy, she doesn’t drink. she is pertty much like that herself. always self-congratulary…
Holy crap, she’s incredibly self-congratulatory. That’s what really turned me off of her. Her interviews almost make me gag because she’s so “I’m so fabulous! Everyone is always telling me how fabulous I am!” Its really gross. I find her pretty and there are times I enjoy her acting (although she needs to learn levels. She’s always at a ten, and most of the time, that’s not necessary), but its how incredibly conceited and self-congratulatory she comes off that first made me not a fan.

Look, EVERYONE has there bad days and everyone has there good days. No one is perfect and definitely not nice all the time. I happen to think of myself as a caring and nice person but even I’ll admit that I have these days every now and then where I don’t want to talk or interact with anyone due to stress or some other reason.
At the end of the day, the most important thing to remember is that celebrities are people too. They also tend to make mistakes just like the rest of us.

Well I’ve NEVER heard that from anyone who works on the Wilmington set and I’ve been keeping up with them ever since season 1 because I like the show. And these people are also the same ones who are extremely reliable when it comes to events and spoilers and stuff. They have NO reason to lie. And its not just one person, but MANY people have said that Sophia is a very nice and genuine person and that these “rumors” that are basically lies created by a few to cause drama. Unfortunately, rumors have a way of spreading like wildfire and then people who hear this stuff tend to believe it. But if you still want to believe that Sophia is a diva or whatever, then go right on ahead. Thats your business.
As for those fan accounts, like I said earlier, everyone has their bad days too. So if you met her on a bad day than that really sucks because although I’ve never met her, my friends who have met her have nothing but amazing things to say about Sophia. Just a two weeks ago, my own cousin went down to Wilmington and got a chance to meet her and she said it was one of the best experiences of her life. There were like 50 or so people there who were standing there to meet her and she actually walked up to every single one of them and talked to them and took pictures with them. She spent like more than half an hour talking with fans and signing autographs and even though one of the crew members kept on trying to rush her off, she told him not until she was able to sign autographs for everyone who had been waiting to meet her and I REALLY admire that. And then she was telling the fans about how a few days earlier she wasn’t able to go meet her fans who had been waiting for her outside because the crew wouldn’t let her. It had to do something with an upcoming Brooke storyline in Season 6 and apparently no one was supposed to see her. I already know what the secret is due to spoilers but I understood why the crew didn’t want anyone to see her.
And Amalie, I DO know what picture you are talking about. But the fact is that she was in a club WITH friends. So who cares if she was drunk off her ass…..I’ve seen other celebrities do FAR worse. And as long as she wasn’t hurting anyone, I don’t see what the big deal is.

Sophia isn’t “big”. The girl has one of the best bodies in Hollywood and is known to have amazing curves. I love the way she looks and I’m glad she isn’t one of those celebrities who is all skin and bones.

Are the rumours about her and James true??? If they are I’ll be disappointed, I really don’t like them, but it’s her life. I was reading comments on forums and in here about them and everyone is bashing Sophia and saying so rude things about her and I am so pissed off right now WHY the hell everyone is saying she’s not proffesional and not just that so many other mean things, God so James is so professional then is that what you are telling me. I’ll tell this to everyone who wrote that she was rude and a ***** to all her co-stars, she’s freaking sweet to her fans, back in 2004 me and my buddies were down in wilmington and we actually went there to see the cast so we gost the chance to meet Sophia and Hilarie, I’ll tell you this they were so nice to us and talked to us about the show joked around it was unforgetabble I can tell you that. Sophia laught like a child she has such a cute laugh she was absolutely adorable. About the whole James/Sophia thing well like I said don’t really like them together but I won’t believe anything till I see pics and there’s something more it’s know that they are friends in real life and suddenly thay are dating, but it’s also know that Sophia is great friend with Lee Noris and Stephen Coletti but people don’t asume that they are together it’s just weir how people make things up. To finish the whole dating topic I’ll just quote Sophia on one interview she gave on the CW:

^^ The reason some people are saying harsh things about Sophia is because those people are idiots and have no lives. Sophia is the most famous out of the entire cast on OTH and gets the most attention and some fans of the show can’t deal with that which is why they’re basically pulling **** out of their ass’s to try and make her look bad. But it doesn’t matter because Sophia has many, many fans(myself included) who love her and support her.
If there is one thing that I’ve learned about OTH fans, its that some of them can be unbelievably mean, especially when the attention is not on their favorite but on some other cast member. Some of them basically act like children and its actually kinda sad.
I’m one of those who can’t wait for the show to end so that all of this bullshit can finally stop. If Sophia and James are going out, then so what? I don’t understand why some people can’t stop obsessing over it when the fact is that its their lives and they can do whatever they want.

Not that she is bad. I mean… they have CMM on the set. It’s pretty easy to beat his squinty broody expression he sports 90% of the episodes. Yes, she can hold her own, but when she actually learns the meaning of subtlety and that it can and should be used more often than 20& of the overall character’s screentime, I’ll appreciate her acting more.

Ugh, to all of you haters: if you think she is so rude and only cares about being famous, why is it that the people who actually work ith her everyday say she’s a wonderful person?
