Happy Birthday, Ava Jackman!

X-Men star Hugh Jackman and his actress wife Deborra-Lee Furness throw a colorful 3rd birthday party for their daughter, Ava, in Sydney, Australia on Saturday morning. (Big brother Oscar was also there!)

The party which was decorated with pink balloons, a big silver #3 balloon and a soldier statue. Looks like Ava really enjoyed her Dora the Explorer helium balloon!

Sarah Murdoch, wife of Lachlan Murdoch (elder son of media mogul, Rupert Murdoch), turned up for the party with her two sons, Kalan and Aidan.

P.S. IMDB and Wikipedia list Ava’s birthday as July 10, 2005, so this is a really late birthday celebration!

Ava’s birthday *is* July 10 - I think the family may have been on vacation at that time so this may have been the first open date.

well, serena, the fact is that NO ONE who could know the truth has ever “confirmed” that Hugh is gay. Nobody in the Broadway show, nobody on any of his movie sets. In fact, many people who know him well and have worked with him have commented on the wonderful marriage he has with Deborra-lee. You, Serena, are merely repeating gossip.

Maybe they were waiting for a nice, sunny day to have an outdoor party for Ava. Besides, a 3 year old has no idea when her “real” birthday is and to her a party is a party whenever it’s held. Looks like she had a blast, especailly with Dora.

I really hate when people speculate about anyone’s sexuality. So ridiculous. Hugh did an amazing job in “Oz” which means to me he’s a great actor.

Someone used my screen name and wrote that horrible comment on #22 post. I can’t tell you how upset that makes me. I would never write or say anything negative about Hugh, Deb or their adorable children and I would never say anything as crude as that name stealer said. I wish we were able to use only one name on this site and everyone would be made accountable for their words.

The fake emma lee is quite vicious and should use her/his own name and not hide behind a regular poster and fan of the Jackmans!

Re: the negative comments about Hugh’s wife….I think we could end the negativism if people had to pass an IQ test before posting….anyone with an IQ lower than a slug shouldn’t be posting.

The Jackmans are the rare Hollywood family who actually believe in things like love and family and kindness.
