I’m not going to insult this woman because her body is her business and as long as she is happy, then I’m happy for her. You may call those women skinny starved girls and they are, but Keely doesn’t look particularly healthy herself.

Celebrities are just like anyone else. And they get hurt when reading other peoples disgusting remarks. Why should it matter to anyone else what she or he looks like? People should really take a good look at their own lives before making harsh judgements on others!

Great for Keely if she is confident though she will and is certainly suffering from health problems due to overweight - still I find it absolutly revolting and hypocrit to attach words like “confidence” to a woman’s body who tends to be fat and clearly overweight when it is not the case for the other way around.

Mind you but they are are naturally skinny women out there who are constantly accused of self mistreatment because of it… as if it was a curse and a sin. Those who are, are blasted or accused of starving themselves for that, or being abnormal. But when it comes to a woman who is overweight, then the word ‘confidence’ and ‘normal’ body is attached to it as if skinniness can’t be nothing but normal and that women had to be ashamed when they are skinny..

I think it’s fine to be fit and not stick skinny, but you can tell when someone is overweight… and it’s not just an image thing. It can also be or become a health issue.

I don’t agree that she is healthy - sorry but that is too much weight to be carrying around. She obviously let herself go after pregnancy and marriage - I see alot of women that do that unfortunately.

I think people comparing and saying she is healthy - not everyone can be like Kiera Knightly etc. You are delusional - Kiera Knightly is the extreme. No one says you have to be a size 2 or 4 etc. But there is a difference between being a healthy weight and being too skinny or fat. I go by body fat or the doctor’s charts as to what normal weight is. Someone looking like that is not a normally healthy body weight - it’s very obvious she is carrying a great degree of body fat. I am sure any doctor will tell you this is not healthy.

Exercise and eating healthy does produce a normally body weight - unfortunately too many americans tend to eat junk food and don’t exercise and somehow have this notion because everyone looks like that so it’s okay and somehow normal. This is why americans have the reputation of being the most unhealthy people in the world. If you look at europeans they eat very healthy and are not overweight - why is this? perhaps they eat a healthy diet unlike americans.

Someone one the first page posted how you only did this to see the negative comments stack up. I agree. You are doing this so your blog gets “popular”. You see how some of the other blogs have 100’s of comments per story…and yet…your’s seems to fall way short. Stop looking for the easy way to number one. Write stories that are worthwhile. Not trash in hopes of boosting your clientèle.

As for the rest of the detractors, Mrs. Brosnan is a size 14, the average size worn by women in the USA. Perhaps after viewing tabloid photos of size 0 actresses on tabloid websites it has become difficult to make comparisons to civilians. You might be also surprised to see how you’d look on the beach if it were posted on this site too.

Her weight and “confidence” shouldn’t be applauded. Being that overweight isn’t healthy. I hate it when people try to make it seem like it is. Too skinny is bad, but so is too fat.

Just to make something clear: I’m not hating on Keely. Maybe she has some medical condition that’s causing her to gain all this weight. I don’t know her situation, so I’m not going to judge HER. But for all of you here that are saying “Now THAT’S a real woman”, I’m guessing that you’re similar to Keely in size and are trying to make yourselves feel better. ;-) Instead of doing that, get off the computer and take a walk/run around the neighborhood. Just because more than half of Americans are overweight, doesn’t make it okay or “normal”, folks. Maybe Keely is considered “normal” in America, but in EVERY OTHER part of the world, people would be turning their heads and thinking, “Who’s the whale?”.

Good for her! She is not ashamed of body and obviously doesn’t care what anyone thinks. I admire her and wish that at 5′8 115 pounds, I had her confidence. It just goes to show you what a great guy her husband is and that he loves her for who she is not what some say she should look like. I wonder what the world would be like if this was the norm?

Please stop revealing your ignorance — though I realize it is unfair to ask you to do the impossible. I have been Black longer than you have been alive, but I do not sugarcoat the truth. The figures on Black obesity (due in large part to diets historically high in fat) have been availble for years, though one is required to have the ability to READ in order to be privy to them. Stop thinking that anything negative said about Blacks is part of some grand conspiracy. Sometimes the truth is simply that — the truth.

The results of the CDC’s 2007 study on Obesity were published only last month, July 18, 2008, in MMWR Weekly. The CDC reports that, as of 2007, 25.6% of all respondents were clinically obese. Of that number, the HIGHEST prevalence rate was among “non-Hispanic black women” at 39%. The second highest prevalence was among “non-Hispanic black men” at 32.1%.

The truth may hurt, but it remains the truth.

She’s not confident at all and ashamed, and she is trying to loose weight (not hard enough apparently) - I remember reading this in an interview with Brosnan. But as long as he doesn’t mind it ( and he assured her and the journalists that he didn’t), we have no business criticizing her. Would it be better if Brosnan left the mother of his children for a skiny model - what message would that be?! And as for the bikini, I don’t think the sight would be so much better in a one-piece, so it really doesn’t matter, imho.

I hope Keely reads these posts, gets depressed and has a good cry, but then decides that this is the day that she finally decides to get a handle on her problems and become the great beauty that she was born to be. The truth hurts, but if it helps her bring herself higher, it’s worth it.

This is very sad. That is not all the woman he married. She used to be a normal, healthy weight. Maybe even a little too skinny. Keely shaye let herself go in a very short time. Hope she gets some help.

I think she is a very kind woman and takes care of her family and not spending all the time in gym-clubs just to use weight for other people who wants to see her in thiner shape. Her husband also loves her because of herself and I myself think she is o.k. the way she is. She seems very self-confident to me and I wish her all the best and say: just stay the way you are - important is the character of people and not if they are thin or not. I wish her really a nice time and enjoyable swiming in the bikini as long as she wants. Life is beautiful!!!!!

Listen Im a 33 year old guy and I think that she is very attractive with the extra weight.
I think most of the woman that are posting the nevative coments about her are just haters,there jealoous that she is with pierce and not with them.
There jealous that she can put on all that weight and still look very sexy and attractive.

Wow, I can’t believe how many shallow, ignorant-sounding comment’s there are here - I mean, I don’t usually care about celebrities but I happened to come across this Blog and see this woman’s pics’; I personally don’t see why people are making SUCH a big deal about her…poor women. Ok, so she’s ‘chubby’, but c’mon “obese”? HAHAH, she doesn’t even look above 150, do your research people - overweight, yes, but ‘obesity’, that is WAY above, she would have to be 200 lbs or more to be classified as obese or ‘dangerously-overweight’. Besides, ok; maybe a bikini isn’t her best bet at her current size, but to say she’s had 2 kids and is almost 50, I think she look’s OK! If I saw her at a beach I probably wouldn’t really care or look twice. Ive seen a HELL of a lot bigger & worse, at my local swimming pool even! And if she’s happy and her husband & family are happy and she feel’s confident in what she wear’s, then so be it…has anyone heard the concept of ‘confidence is beauty’ in itself? There is so ’set beauty’ it’s all in the eye of the beholder anyway.
