Keely Shaye Smith is Bikini Bold
Pierce Brosnan’s wife, Keely Shaye Smith confidently shows off her bikini body while traipsing around a beach in Hawaii on Friday. The 55-year-old former James Bond star watched his 44-year-old wife from his lounge chair.
The Sun-Times had quite the unfavorable review of Pierce in his latest musical movie, Mamma Mia!: “Here’s a novel idea: When casting a major musical, how about recruiting performers who can actually sing? Hearing Pierce Brosnan trying to carry a tune in Mamma Mia! was painful. Unfortunately, his vocal contributions weren’t just limited to one song. Christine Baranski also was allowed to warble much more than she should have been, although her efforts were slightly less torturous than Brosnan’s.” Ouch!

Simply weighing within the AMA guidelines does not equal health.
I don’t agree that she is healthy - sorry but that is too much weight to be carrying around. She obviously let herself go after pregnancy and marriage - I see alot of women that do that unfortunately.
I think people comparing and saying she is healthy - not everyone can be like Kiera Knightly etc. You are delusional - Kiera Knightly is the extreme. No one says you have to be a size 2 or 4 etc. But there is a difference between being a healthy weight and being too skinny or fat. I go by body fat or the doctor’s charts as to what normal weight is. Someone looking like that is not a normally healthy body weight - it’s very obvious she is carrying a great degree of body fat. I am sure any doctor will tell you this is not healthy.
Exercise and eating healthy does produce a normally body weight - unfortunately too many americans tend to eat junk food and don’t exercise and somehow have this notion because everyone looks like that so it’s okay and somehow normal. This is why americans have the reputation of being the most unhealthy people in the world. If you look at europeans they eat very healthy and are not overweight - why is this? perhaps they eat a healthy diet unlike americans.

As I said before, if he were attracted to an obese woman, he would have married one. He didn’t. He merely now finds himself stuck with one.
I know many men who DO like large women. I am Black and in Black culture it is rather commonplace to see women his size, and yes, many Black men love that extra poundage. But guess what, national health studies show that 2 out of every 4 Black women in America are overweight, and 1 in 4 is clinically obese. I don’t’ see how obesity among any group of people (including Hollywood wives) is in any way worthy of praise.
As for those saying she’s “lucky” she has a husband who “loves” her and hasn’t left her, I can only say I will NEVER understand the mindset of women when it comes to sexulity after marriage. Why on earth do you want to feel LUCKY that your man stays with you when you are now 150 or 200 pounds heavier than when he met you? Don’t you want him to be with you because he is still ATTRACTED to you (both the inside AND the outside). If you thhink this level of weight gain is something men simply ignore, I suggest you talk to a few men (not your husbands, other men who can be honest without fear of hurting your feelings).
Women don’t have a clue as to how men think, what they feel or how their sexuality is triggered. They prefer to just use the word “love” as if it should be a catch-all excuse for everything. If he “loves” you, he should ignore (and endure) the fat, gooey mess that your body has become. This is sheer female delusion.
Someone one the first page posted how you only did this to see the negative comments stack up. I agree. You are doing this so your blog gets “popular”. You see how some of the other blogs have 100’s of comments per story…and yet…your’s seems to fall way short. Stop looking for the easy way to number one. Write stories that are worthwhile. Not trash in hopes of boosting your clientèle.
On a side note…I agree she should have worn a one piece…but at least she has confidence and feels comfortable in her own skin. She is a happy person…why rip into that?

You’re “a big Renoir’s fan”? Really, how big ARE you?
If you had a grasp of proper English usage I’d assume you meant to write that you are a fan of Renoir. Perhaps even an ardent fans?
However, as with your lack of expertise with the English language you obviously also lack a formal art history background. Mrs. Brosnan is exactly the figure type immortalized in Renoir’s works.
As for the rest of the detractors, Mrs. Brosnan is a size 14, the average size worn by women in the USA. Perhaps after viewing tabloid photos of size 0 actresses on tabloid websites it has become difficult to make comparisons to civilians. You might be also surprised to see how you’d look on the beach if it were posted on this site too.

Why would you even post these pictures, jared? She’s not even a celebrity. Anyway, if she’s happy about her body then good for her. Saying that she shouldn’t wear a bikini is fucked up, it’s her body and her life and people can’t tell her what to do.

I say there are more obese fatties among them than blacks (especially since they outnumber blacks) and I’ve seen more petite, thin black women than “obese”. The term Rubenesque, coined from the subjects in Rueben’s paintings does not negate or enhance the fact that Renoir also DID feature the a similiar body type is his paintings.
However, bravo for being able to name one additional artist who favored a body type that was the ideal during that painter’s own lifetime,ableit, your chose the seventeenth century and therefore your example has absolutely no relevance regarding the ignorant comment about Renoir or Mrs. Brosnan.

I agree with everyone else that it is great she is comfortable with who she is (and apparently Pierce is, too), but with the amount of money they have I can’t understand why she can’t utilize a trainer or personal chef? She doesn’t have to be a size 2, but she is too unhealthy at that weight. Don’t know how she could manage 2 young kids if she is that out of shape. Wonder if she has a medical issue?
Her weight and “confidence” shouldn’t be applauded. Being that overweight isn’t healthy. I hate it when people try to make it seem like it is. Too skinny is bad, but so is too fat.
Just to make something clear: I’m not hating on Keely. Maybe she has some medical condition that’s causing her to gain all this weight. I don’t know her situation, so I’m not going to judge HER. But for all of you here that are saying “Now THAT’S a real woman”, I’m guessing that you’re similar to Keely in size and are trying to make yourselves feel better. ;-) Instead of doing that, get off the computer and take a walk/run around the neighborhood. Just because more than half of Americans are overweight, doesn’t make it okay or “normal”, folks. Maybe Keely is considered “normal” in America, but in EVERY OTHER part of the world, people would be turning their heads and thinking, “Who’s the whale?”.

Keely Smith doesn’t look natural. There is a look of stress in her face which looks puffy and bloated, like she is feeling anxiety and is eating compulsively. She must be putting on weight rapidly and I would not doubt that she is on some type of medication for depression.
As for Brosnan professing so much love for his wife… I’ll take it with a grain of salt, as it is not unusual for a man to look into your eyes and lie.
I can see problems here.
An old pastor always talked (from the pulpit) about how much he loved his wife and how he didn’t believe in divorcing her. He’d go on and on about her to people. His wife had been very pretty and had won a local beauty pageant. She later looked terrible and exhausted (when I met them), but he always appeared to be fit, excited and full of energy.
That pastor had been cheating on his wife throughout their entire married life (nearly 30 years) with all kinds of women in his congregations. After so many years, she finally had enough and divorced him.
I knew that old pastor was lying when I met him, and I feel strongly that the situation here with Pierce and Keely does not add up.
Money cannot make a person lose weight, but with it, they can certainly seek help that normal people do not get, such as surgery, (bypass or the band), therapy or a personal trainer. If Keely is a compulsive overeater, she needs to attend Overeaters Anonymous. She could also have meals delivered to her home. This is what I mean when I say she has access to help.
Judging from her photos, Keely also does not work out. Her fat is quite soft and sloppy. If she won’t diet it off, she could tone it up and make it look tighter instead of wobbly.
I have no proof about the Brosnan’s sexuality rumors, but supposedly he confessed to the affair, but claims it was something in his past.
