OlderJohn Mayer Spills Jennifer Aniston Break-Up Details
John Mayer stood up for his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston as he spoke to a group of photographers after working out at Equinox Gym in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. Here’s what the 30-year-old musician, who appeared emotional, nervous and sad, had to say to TMZ:
On why he broke up with Jen: “People are different, people have different chemistry. I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right. It’s not about years, it’s about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out.”
On his breakup being completely normal: “There’s no lying, there’s no cheating, there’s no nothing. I’m sorry that the story’s not interesting. But it’s about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she’s great.”
On setting the record clear about Jen: “If you guys are going to run stuff and run every lie under the sun, have somebody stand up for somebody. Have me as a man who ended a relationship stand here and write some truth. Have me stand up for somebody and write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met.”
On why relationships generally end: “You’re either a cheater or you breakup. And I’m not the first. I’m the second one. And that’s it. There’s no lying, there’s no bulls—, I just don’t want to be followed around New York City like an animal.”
On singing the praises of Aniston: “She’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met in my life and I’m going through something that’s a very personal thing and you have to give that up. You have to give everything up because you can’t have it all and it sucks.”

So now we know who dumped whom, didn’t we!!!! I believe John told the truth. He had an upper hand of this relationship. Jen needed him than the other way around. He realized she must have used this “dating” to be in the spot light. He had finally figured it out and decided to end it. Hat off to John. He took a high road, way to go John!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jen fans are so predictable, last week Bet was so sure John was the best thing for Jennifer and she was getting the best sex, and today he is a douche bag. I am laughing my behind off and enjoying watching this drama.
Like someone said above, Jennifer has bitten off more than she could chew this time, she is finding out that everyone is not as classy and matured as Brad and his partner.
She says that she believes in Karma, maybe she needs to ask herself why life is being so unkind to her.
No man stays with her. The only reason Brad stayed so long is because he is a nice guy. But after she lied for long that she was going to start a family with him, he saw her for the fraud she is,and he left her.

Actually, it points more to ___; she lied about the state of her relationship with Brad and the nature of her relationship with Vince Vaughn.
Seems like everyone has any angry opinion about this. I’m just glad that everything seems amicable and honest.
For people who are wondering why this is even a story, duh! She’s turned her whole career into a dog and pony show. Ever since she spilled her dumb guts in that interview (and I’m sure she soooo regrets it now) she has set up peoples expectations and pity. That’s what you get for following your huge ego Maniston. You just couldn’t take the high road like Brad and shut your pie hole. This undue attention is the consequence of her opening her mouth and every guy who comes into her life is going to suffer the same onslaught. I feel pretty bad for John. He had no idea. So yeah he was emotional and I’m sure it’s because there is a maniacal feeding frenzy around him. Who wouldn’t go nuts? Maniston should be grateful he as least tried to throw her a bone by calling her sophisticated. I personally find that laughable.

I for one, don’t know Jennifer but I really think its funny how this IS the only breakup John Mayer took to the streets to talk about. It hasn’t been a month and yet he’s so narcissistic that he runs to TMZ to find out whats the latest rumour and feels so compelled to “stand up” for Jennifer. Yah right. It really seems like she was the one who dumped him because every person he has dumped, he never ran on the streets of New York City to say why or what happened…it’s just that his ego has been bruised and hes trying to flip the table. Now whoever thought the moment these two were dating that they were going to get married really needed their heads examined because thats not what both of these people want right now. John is clearly a young individual whos into the whole serial dating , the picking up and leaving when you want attitude. Children is not on his agenda right now.
Jennifer, on the other hand, shows off this imagethat she just wants to have a good time in her life but doesn’t want the whole package of kids either because she feels as though, “why should I have kids with the next guy i date?” some women are like that and IT’S OKAY. My aunt is a wonderful person and yet she does not have any kids. Its just not her thing. Jennifer MIGHT want kids but she probably feels as though, she could have had them with Brad and now its like, well if it wasn’t with my “soulmate”, then I’m just going to keep moving on with my life the best possible way I can…and that is to have a good time until I’m ready to change what I want in life. You go Girl!
BTW Jen doesn’t seem to be all broken up about the breakup anyway.
