OlderJohn Mayer Spills Jennifer Aniston Break-Up Details
John Mayer stood up for his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston as he spoke to a group of photographers after working out at Equinox Gym in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. Here’s what the 30-year-old musician, who appeared emotional, nervous and sad, had to say to TMZ:
On why he broke up with Jen: “People are different, people have different chemistry. I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right. It’s not about years, it’s about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out.”
On his breakup being completely normal: “There’s no lying, there’s no cheating, there’s no nothing. I’m sorry that the story’s not interesting. But it’s about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she’s great.”
On setting the record clear about Jen: “If you guys are going to run stuff and run every lie under the sun, have somebody stand up for somebody. Have me as a man who ended a relationship stand here and write some truth. Have me stand up for somebody and write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met.”
On why relationships generally end: “You’re either a cheater or you breakup. And I’m not the first. I’m the second one. And that’s it. There’s no lying, there’s no bulls—, I just don’t want to be followed around New York City like an animal.”
On singing the praises of Aniston: “She’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met in my life and I’m going through something that’s a very personal thing and you have to give that up. You have to give everything up because you can’t have it all and it sucks.”

I used to think Jennifer Aniston was really quite well-liked. Well, I thought she was the most popular out of the Friends cast. I never knew so many people have taken a dislike to her. And the thing is, a lot of your comments make sense about her. I’m kind of re-thinking my opinion of her now.

You and I when something hurtful happens to us its our business, but Jennifer gets hurt or would cry the whole world knows, She has feeling like all of us. I will never believe Jen does this for attention. I do believe she has moved on, hasn’t met the love of her life yet, and when she does she’ll know it.
And yes your right brad did move on met angie in 2003 before they started the movie in 2004 already the attraction started, i do not believe he did not cheat . Within 5 months adopting babies having a baby with angie, and you know what i really don’t give a siht . I wish them a happy life together.

What Jennifer did then and what John did today are totally completely different situations. John felt the need to talk about a breakup with someone he only dated for maybe, the most 2 months? on the streets with tabloid suitors, while Jennifer had an actual sit down interview to talk about a situation with a person she was with for 7 years. In my opinion, i think it was good of her to actually say what she felt because i felt the same way. I thought it was tasteless of Brad to shoot the W magazine spread with his “co-star” weeks after the divorce. The whole 5,7 kids running around and white picket fence spread was just a slap in the face. Then, by June, we see his “co-star” months from giving birth to his child. Yah. Very Classy. She waited until she was ready to say her piece in the matter.
She said what she wanted in a classy sit down interview, not to some trashy reporters like John. Ever since then, I haven’t heard her mention Brad or his “co-star” or any of their 6 kids. So the whole Vanity Fair article is very redundant…

She passive-aggressively attacked Brad using her friends and ’sources’ via her publicist every since. Now 3 years later, everyone sees that Brad was right leaving her and pursue a big happy family Aniston refused to have. It is called Irreconcilable Differences. VF 2005 was a back-stabbing blaming Brad by Aniston who knew exactly why he left her. W shoot was depicting an UNHAPPY MARRIAGE, a promo for MAMS. Get over it.
