Michelle Williams & Spike Jonze Step Out
Director Spike Jonze keeps his arm wrapped around actress girlfriend Michelle Williams after a romantic dinner in Brooklyn on Saturday. The couple was also spotted getting cozy together in L.A. earlier this month.
Michelle, 27, and Spike, 38, met when Michelle auditioned for Where the Wild Things Are, which Spike directed. Jonze recently produced the actress’ upcoming film Synecdoche, New York.
Jonze, who was last romantically linked to Drew Barrymore, was previously married to fellow filmmaker Sofia Coppola — they called it quits in 2003.

What makes her the love of his life, getting pregnant with his kid??? Heath loved Matilda more than anything but that doesn’t mean her mom was his one true love. His relationships with his other girlfriends lasted as long as his relationship with Michelle so the only thing that makes her more special than them is that she’s his baby mama.
She covers her face because she doesn’t want to be photographed with her new squeeze, proof - her people probably “asked” Jared to take down the pix. Am I right, JJ?
Michelle got pregnant on purpose. and Heath did the right thing by her. Don’t forget, he just got sacked by Naomi Watts. Heath was no angel. Michelle was a very pretty, she was a very sexy rebound romance. If you want to know the real love of his life it was Naomi. He never got over her. Never. He was hot for Michelle at first, and he tried, but they had nothing in common. Michelle is a very ambitious person. It was the whole image she was projecting. Ang Lee, Oscar nomination, being with Heath, also Oscar nominated, the image Michelle projected is a big part of what made people like Martin Scorcese notice her. It isn’t only about talent. It is also about your image, your connections, your total package. By having his baby, she thought she would stay connected to Heath forever, no matter if they were together. Heath was crazy over the moon about having a baby and she used that against him. Please do not make this girl a saint. She is not. I am tired of all the poor Michelle stuff I keep reading. People talking about how hard it is for her, etc. I feel bad for Spike Jonze because he apparently is attracted to difficult, selfish women. Sophia Coppola is not a nice person. She is a little princess who doesn’t know a lot about directing, but has a father who helps her and lots of good people to make her look good.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? They split in 2003, the same time the film was released, it had nothing to do with Lost in Translation. I also never saw any undertones suggesting Jonze was a bad husband?

Regina. Its well documented that Lost in Translation was written by Sofia at the time when she was having major issues with him when they were in Japan. Also, Anna’s character in the film is supposedly based on Cameron Diaz during the time she was doing promotional work for Charlie’s Angels in Japan, and people have been trying to figure out who is supposed to be Bill Murray’s character. People think it may be Harrison Ford because he was supposedly staying in the same hotel as they were and was filming a commercial in Japan. Sofia doesn’t deny that Lost in Translation is a bit of a roman a clef.
