Jennifer Aniston: Privacy Please!

After John Mayer’s very public statements regarding his break-up with Jennifer Aniston, her friends are rallying support around the former Friends star.

Jen will never kiss and tell, but it’s she who ended the relationship,” a source close to Jen says. “(Mayer’s) childish behavior only confirms she was right to dump him. Now he’s acting like a spoiled child. Expect Jen to behave like a lady.”

According to John, “I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right.”

Another source close to Jen said, “Jen was tired of paying for everything. Cobwebs come flying out of (Mayer’s) wallet when he opens it. John liked living like a movie star when he was with her. … Jen would never say anything, but you could tell it irritated her.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK about Jen’s supposed side of the story?

When you lie constanstly, sometimes you contradicts the lies you’ve already made. LOL

Jennifer Aniston on not talking about Brad: Even when she wants to avoid talking about the men in her life, they just inevitably creep back in. In a Newsweek feature called “Seven Things I’d Rather Talk About … Than the Men in (or Out) of My Life,” she brings up yet another famous name: “How about that indictment?! And why did it take so long to respond to the crisis in New Orleans? Everything is imploding. It all seems to lead back to our dear president.” She also takes time to point out she’s not the waterworks she has been made out to be since her marriage went sour. “I’m pegged as a crier, aren’t I? I was upset about the Vanity Fair article. I had one moment when I got emotional because I hadn’t sat down with an interviewer since this whole debacle took place. It happened for a second and then it was over.” (Newsweek)

GOODNIGHT HAVE A NICE HAPPY DAY EVERYONE OK!!!!

@Dark Angel

Thank you for calling me decent.

Sometimes it is hard to keep decency here, if what I read are mostly only harsh words.

Akim, if you check the hours on when Ellie and I are on board, you will see that we are from different regions. Why do I have to use other names? I am not a coward, who runs from my opinion by using other name. Do you think I go to AJ & BP’s thread and use other name to insult them? Why do I have to waste my time and my feelings? I don’t like them, I don’t have to come there and tell them that I don’t like them. I still want to have love in my heart, I don’t need to spread all the hatred to somebody I don’t even know.

I normally go to Jude Law/Sienna/Rhys Ifans/Edward Norton (if he ever appeared anyway) or Natalie Portman. And I always use my name, because it is my original name.

But, this is the weakest part of JJ. This forum simply does not have a system to check the identity of the posters. People can use thousand different names without any difficulties.

I know, I should not come to Jen today. Just when I thought reading Das Universum in der Nussschale (The Universe in the Nutshell) from Stephen Hawking ease my mind a little bit….this kind of nonsense accusation is harder than harsh comment!

Anyway, thanks Dark Angel. “Read You” in other thread!

And oh,

Overdoing the sympathy ticket can backfire, though. After Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie, Aniston – initially the luckless victim – confessed to Vanity Fair that she sometimes threw herself a little ‘pity party’. Suddenly, she seemed not so much sympathetic as pathetic, wallowing in her thin-lipped grief while the statuesque Jolie went round the world doing good.

Aniston’s movie persona, never the stuff of legends, became degraded, too (her most recent roles, in Friends with Money and The Break-Up, saw her playing miserable, putupon characters, which just added to the impression of neediness). We were left with a cruel thought that Aniston was punching above her weight all the time she was married to Pitt. For all his limited acting range, Pitt is a movie star through and through (as is Jolie), while Aniston remains just too small-screen.While she was half of ‘Brad and Jen’, she could play at being A-list. Divorce confirmed the sad truth, that her particular brand of adorable nose-wrinkling doesn’t cut the mustard with the big boys.

I’m a fan of neither of them, but, i really wish he would stop talking about the relationship… Boring material!
Maybe he is trying to save face or something….

rumour all the world @ 08/20/2008 at 4:24 am

well, he has been open and honest in order to let people know he has ended a relationship and he is a gentleman. Always so worried about what others think! He simply can’t stop seeking for publicity; every move, every decision, every relationship is a cry for attention. I think he can’t tell apart the real him from the character in the tabloids. He is addicted to gossip fame.

rumour all the world @ 08/20/2008 at 4:26 am

Celebitchy-It’s funny that I had the exact opposite reaction to Meyer’s little rant. I thought it was well staged, and incredibly selfish and arrogant. He didn’t like the ‘John cheated on Jen’ headlines, so he “just happens” to let himself get cornered by paps and give an “impromptu” press conference, where he basically says a) he didn’t cheat b) HE ended the relationship because HE didn’t think it was going to work out.
The sheer arrogance of all that “I didn’t want to waste her time” makes me want to deck him.
If he really had any respect for Jen, he would have kept his mouth shut.
But his great big giant ego couldn’t handle the idea that HE might be blamed for his latest drive-by affair/break up.
Then he gives his typical look-what-a-nice-guy-I-am-for-complimenting-my-ex-in-public speech that he’s done before.
This jerk is a real piece of work.
Jen is WAY better off.

A Film Studio Fires a Director, Raising Eyebrows in Hollywood
By ANNE THOMPSON

Published: August 25, 2004
Replacing a director, even a first-timer, during production is rare in Hollywood. John Badham took over for Martin Brest two weeks into filming on MGM’s ”WarGames,” in 1983. And Brian Levant grabbed the directing reins from Steve Rash on Universal’s ”Beethoven” in 1992.

On Aug. 6 Warner Brothers booted Ted Griffin as director of his original story inspired by the 1967 classic ”The Graduate” and replaced him with Rob Reiner 12 days into shooting. The script, about a young woman from Pasadena who discovers that her grandmother was the inspiration for the Mrs. Robinson character in ”The Graduate,” was strong enough to lure a cast of top-notch actors, led by Jennifer Aniston.

But you have to go back to 1980, according to the Motion Picture Academy Library, to find another instance of Warner booting a director off a project (”Superman II”).

What has raised eyebrows about the case of the ”untitled Reiner/Griffin comedy,” as it is now known, is that Mr. Griffin, hot off his scripts for Ridley Scott’s ”Matchstick Men” and Steven Soderbergh’s ”Ocean’s Eleven,” had been putting his personal stamp on the original, quirky screenplay for more than three years. And Mr. Soderbergh agreed to produce Mr. Griffin’s directorial debut project with his partner in the production company Section Eight, George Clooney, who had starred in ”Ocean’s Eleven” with Ms. Aniston’s husband, Brad Pitt, who also recently starred in Warner’s ”Troy.”

The film, also stars Kevin Costner, Shirley MacLaine, Mark Ruffalo and Mena Suvari. It no longer stars Charlie Hunnam, Leslie Ann Warren, Tony Bill and Greta Scacchi. They were scratched by the new director, Mr. Reiner (”When Harry Met Sally”).

None of the principals involved in the production were available for comment, and studio spokesmen declined to discuss the changes except to confirm that Mr. Griffin had been replaced by Mr. Reiner.

”It’s highly unusual, especially at the level of major studio pictures,” said Mr. Bill, who took over directing the 1990 film ”Crazy People” in midstream. ”It’s bad corporate P.R. But it’s also very tough to do. It would be a challenge for anyone to step into someone’s original movie. The studio went to an experienced director who had done this kind of movie before.”

Soon after the movie started shooting on July 21 in Los Angeles, one Paramount producer (who would not comment for attribution) was waiting to set his next film’s start date based on the availability of a key cast member of the Griffin comedy, he said, when he learned that the production had fallen several days behind in the first week. ”It was going incredibly slow,” said Ms. Aniston’s manager at Brillstein-Grey, Mark Gurvitz.

On Aug. 5, Mr. Griffin fired his cinematographer, Ed Lachman, who has a reputation for hand-holding rookie directors like Sofia Coppola (”The Virgin Suicides”). ”You don’t fire a director over the look of a film,” Mr. Lachman commented.

At that point, apparently, the ax was also hovering above Mr. Griffin’s head. The studio president, Alan Horn, who was a partner with Mr. Reiner at the now-defunct Castle Rock Entertainment, had already asked his old friend, who hasn’t had a hit since ”A Few Good Men” in 1992, to rescue the troubled movie.

Mr. Gurvitz said the studio informed Ms. Aniston, who had contractual approval of the film’s director, that Mr. Griffin was leaving the project. She was introduced to Mr. Reiner and gave him her blessing. On Aug. 6, Mr. Soderbergh called Mr. Griffin into his office anddismissed him, the studio confirmed.

Ms. MacLaine, who plays the grandmother who had an affair with the young Mr. Costner, said she was surprised when she heard of the director change. She said of her experience with Mr. Griffin, ”I certainly wasn’t unhappy.”

On Aug. 9 the studio shut down production while Mr. Reiner made script, cast and crew changes and prepared to start filming again on Aug. 18. The director swiftly replaced Ms. Warren with Kathy Bates (who won the best actress Oscar for his 1990 film ”Misery”), Mr. Hunnam with Mike Vogel (”The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) and Mr. Bill with the screen heavy Chris McDonald (”Thelma and Louise”). Warner is expected to scrap Mr. Griffin’s footage, the usual practice in such situations. The studio declined to comment.
As news of Mr. Griffin’s replacement by Mr. Reiner spread, industry publications and Internet sites picked up the story. While Variety reported that Ms. Aniston was said to have been unhappy with the film’s look and tone, Mr. Gurvitz responded that the actress had never looked at dailies and had never called the studio. ”She voiced her concerns,” he said, to the film’s on-site producer, Paula Weinstein. (She was on the set and did not return calls.)

One Internet blog called ”A fly on the wall” detailed crew reports that Mr. Costner was leading a cast mutiny against the young director. But Steve Rabineau, Mr. Griffin’s agent, said Mr. Costner had not yet started filming his scenes and was the first cast member who called to console Mr. Griffin. Mr. Costner also gave him the use of his Santa Barbara house, Mr. Rabineau said. ”Ted’s writing got this great cast,” he added. ”It’s a shame he can’t see it out. It was a traumatic thing for everyone.”

There’s also the possibility that Mr. Griffin’s old role as ”Ocean’s Eleven” writer was a complicating factor. Mr. Rabineau said that when Section Eight asked Mr. Griffin to write ”Ocean’s Twelve,” he passed. He did one rewrite before production, but demurred, Mr. Rabineau said, when asked for another polish, in order to prepare his own movie.

Mr. Rabineau said Mr. Soderbergh was not happy with the early footage and expressed his concerns to the studio. Mr. Soderbergh declined to comment while he was editing ”Ocean’s Twelve.”

”If you put a director on a set with a talented producer, cast and crew and plenty of money available, it’s pretty hard not to do a decent job directing,” Mr. Bill said. ”If an actress isn’t lit right, you don’t fire the director. If there’s a conflict between the director and an actor, the big dog wins in our business. That dog is the star. Every movie is a shotgun wedding between director and actors. It doesn’t always work out.”

Correction: August 27, 2004, Friday An article in The Arts on Wednesday about Warner Brothers’ dismissal of Ted Griffin, the director of a film inspired by ”The Graduate,” and his replacement by Rob Reiner, referred incorrectly to Castle Rock Entertainment, where Mr. Reiner and Alan Horn, now president of Warner, were once partners. It is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers, not defunct.

A Film Studio Fires a Director, Raising Eyebrows in Hollywood

Kevin Costner tells a diferent story during the promos for Upside of Anger. What’s ironic, Aniston and her PR flak put the blame game on Costner when Costner has not even started filming yet. The truth of the matter seems to be Aniston throw such a fit with how she was lighted. Made such an issue out of it. Griffin defended him (but they made it appear that he’s the one who fired Lachman - take special note on Lachman’s comment.)…….. Notice also that Costner did not do any promos for RHI. Notice further that until now Costner and Griffin are still friends. Notice again that Clooney did not attend the premiere. Notice also that in their comments regarding Section 8 in ref to Ted G/RHI, both Clooney and Soderbergh are apologetic and regreted the fact that they were not able to defend Griffin’s position enough to let him stay on.

rumour all the world @ 08/20/2008 at 4:53 am

John Mayer’s behavior is beyond disappointing. The lyrics in his music depict such sensitivity & the guitar work is superb. His behavior after this breakup is a 180 degrees from his music. The next woman he dates should have him sign a confidentiality agreement. The sensitive, eclectic musician has surely lost my respect.

aniston is a talented actress that why she has lots of movie coming out. marley and me is one of the best selling book, and people will really love it, it will be a big hit compare to tccobb. this will be aniston year to be follow up by traveling hnjity. thats why she’s one of the most profitable actress.

L.a. based lady @ 08/20/2008 at 7:16 am

LOL! All of you… LOL
I’m NOOOOOOOOOO fan of Aniston BUT I will say this, living in LA and working in the music industry, it is WELL KNOWN John is CHEAP!!! He has “slept” with several friends and each time they went on a date, SHE paid for her half! He blogs about his life and shares very personal information about himself… the peeing stories are true! Amongst others! If anything, I was quite shock to hear she was dating him… as far as I’m concerned, that’s a major step DOWN. On the other hand, I think it was extremely stupid of her to get involved w/a musician who is only 30. You cannot really take him seriously especially when he is a notorious womanizer… not smart on her part.

It’s still so fresh in our memories that all Jen fans were sooo happy and overly praising their “hot” couple. –Saying that Jen’s having a hot sex with a young, talented, gentleman, John Mayer. But now what? We told you so stupid Jenhens that they would break up soon after the Jolie-Pitt twins were born. You all never learn that everything your idol do is to steal the limelight and publicity from Jolie and Pitt and their family. Geez, that’s how pathetic your idol is, and worshipping her makes you all pathetic too. She buys her boytoys and no man can stick with her because she’s very self-centered. Now good luck finding her another man. The same ol’ story. She is sooo predictable and boring.
