Rosanne Barr just blogged some very nasty comments about Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and her actor father, Jon Voight. Here’s what the 55-year-old comedian/actress had to say:
“Jon Voight is a frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu… your evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more. (Just sayin’).
“Also Miss Jolie says she likes McCain too and hasn’t decided who to endorse….huh? Aren’t you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the republican party’s worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan? Whaaaa…??????!!!! (For that matter, the thai and vietnamese sons you are photo’d with weekly too!!!? Who’s [sic] pictures you sell to raise money to help the poor? … We want to save not lose our souls thank you. In a bit of nicer news, Brad is teaming up with Kiehl’s for charity, WWD reports. One hundred percent of the net profits from sales of Kiehl’s Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser, due in October, will benefit JPF Eco Systems, a charitable foundation created by Kiehl’s and Brad to support global environmental initiatives that “minimize impact on the environment through thoughtful design.” Brad handwrote part of the product label.

I disagree. I don’t see it as exploitation at all.
Cameras and the media are an integral part of their childrens’ lives, and nothing can change that. They strike me as the kiind of parents who have explained this in detail to those old enough to understand it. I think they have also explained the cucial role that charity and contribution should play in their lives.
In the “People” cover story welcoming the twins, I was struck by Angie’s comment that her next project is a charitable foundation in Ethiopia that Z will oversee when she is older.
These are remarkable parents (generous and loving people) whose children are being raised to understand that while cameras in the face may be an annoyance, that annoyance can produce revenue that improves the lives of thousands living in poverty. I don’t see that as exploitation at all.
Just read that snark about the J-Ps “consuming more than their fair share”. Is that fat bítch out of her mind? She probably stuffs her face with more food in a week than the entire J-P clan.

There are some people like Roseanne Bar who see the world in black and white, you’re either for -us -or -against- us mentallity. I do not in any way support McCain but everyone has the right to support who they want. Ros attacked Oprah when she supported Obama over clinton. For someone like Roseanne if you don’t support who she likes then you are evil or bad. It does’nt happen that way. One should be able to see shades of gray. She has now opened up a window for the haters out there who don’t like Ange because they think she stole Brad, to spew more of their hate-filled words.

OMG. Well it is Rosannes opinion. I have to laugh at some of the posters who state that it is up to Angie and Brad on how much to donate. I agree with you with that 100%. But I’ve seen posts from the same people that put down others for not or they assume they don’t donate as much as them. So which is it? Try not looking like fools by constantly contradicting yourselves in that way just for the sake of trying to spew your hatred on others. Start applying those so called rules to yourselves. You are just showing why a lot of people would not want to become a Brangelina fan. For people who think these two are such role models, you guys sure are having a hard time modeling yourselves or are you mirrors of them? Brangelina must be so proud.

My kids have argued with me me because I said I was going to vote Independently as I do not like either candidate.
I reminded them of the freedoms in our country that allow us to choose! I take that responsibility seriously. Our voting choices have come down to the “lesser of two evils” . Those “evils” usually have enough money to get the most attention. vote for what you believe in. It is your right!

i don’t think the poor in africa and other undeveloped countries would care what is the actual reason people help them. what they care is that their lives can be improve. i don’t think the jolie-pitt are doing it for public but the most important point is that money did go to the charities and many lives have been saved.
it is great that angie tries not to listen to what other say about her so her heart doesn’t break. i hope she keeps doing good thing in her life and i am sure she will.

But more to the point, since she attacks Brangelina’s charitable giving, I was curious about how Roseanne stacks up. If you look on her blogroll, the first link goes to the Roseanne Barr Foundation — except the website for that is farked.
Then I decided to see if the foundation actually still exists. It does, but only barely. According to the IRS, the foundation gave away $100,626 in 2006, yet raised $118,512 from the general public. So that money wasn’t even from her.
That’s a mighty glass house she’s got there.

I love the way uneducated celebrities can make blatant statements like that. She’s really believe that Republicans are responsible of the Cluster-F**k that is Africa right now? Did she noticed that she discarded the incessant bush wars, ethnic clashes and tyrannical local governments only to put the burden on the shoulders over a political party half a world away?
I think her views of Africa are deeply racist in the core. Her apologist point of view let me believe that she sees Africans as unable to function by themselves if they are not backed by a Democrat presidency. Talk about a condescending attitude. Africans are “Old Enough” to deal with their own issues without the patronage of “Whitey”.
Most of her drunken rage shouldn’t be taken seriously, I kinda feel sorry for her. So would it really matter if Angie would vote for Obama, would your vote change to hers? I highly doubt it, most already have their minds made up and it’s silly to let celebs make your minds up. It’s very irritating to see celebs preach on politics, stick to movies.
