Rosanne Barr just blogged some very nasty comments about Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and her actor father, Jon Voight. Here’s what the 55-year-old comedian/actress had to say:
“Jon Voight is a frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu… your evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more. (Just sayin’).
“Also Miss Jolie says she likes McCain too and hasn’t decided who to endorse….huh? Aren’t you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the republican party’s worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan? Whaaaa…??????!!!! (For that matter, the thai and vietnamese sons you are photo’d with weekly too!!!? Who’s [sic] pictures you sell to raise money to help the poor? … We want to save not lose our souls thank you. Now go back to making your movies about women who love to handle big guns that shoot hundreds of people to death. Ps….it might be good for your Asian and African children’s self-esteem to know you support a brown man for the leader of the free world.)

In a bit of nicer news, Brad is teaming up with Kiehl’s for charity, WWD reports. One hundred percent of the net profits from sales of Kiehl’s Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser, due in October, will benefit JPF Eco Systems, a charitable foundation created by Kiehl’s and Brad to support global environmental initiatives that “minimize impact on the environment through thoughtful design.” Brad handwrote part of the product label.

You know what’s funny about brad pitt fans? they are obsessed with Angelina Jolie.
She has not been seen out and about for a while now and people still can’t stop talking about Angelina, Angelina, Angelina.
Finally someone has the bollocks to step up and say that Angelina and Brad are a farce. These two act like they care about humanity - BS! They are celebrities trying to endorse themselves in the best way possible. Donating a few piddly million when you are making as much as they are isn’t really going to do much. They are just like every other stupid celebrity in Hollywood. Kudos to Roseanne.
Conversations always come back to what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie does with their money. It has been stated that Angelina says she gives 1/3 of her income to charity. That money goes into the Jolie-Pitt Foundation which is operated by an independent person. That doesn’t mean that amount of money is DISTRIBUTED every year. The Foundation manager and those associated with it have LONG term plans for giving.
There will always be many many causes, they have to make sure there is money in the Foundation to distribute over the long haul. They don’t just dump money on charities anyway. They do research and decide where the money will do the most good.
There are millions of dollars funneled into the Belinda and Bill Gates Foundation each year, but they don’t give out ALL of that money in one year. However all the money in the Foundation is ear marked for charity. It’s not their personal mad money cache, it only goes to charities.
I don’t begrudge people who make money their right to spend it for whatever personal reasons they want. They are not obligated to buy a hundred and fifty dollar table if they can afford to buy whatever they want. There will always be people in need, the Jolie-Pitts are not responsible to take care of the world. To view the fact that they buy expensive items for themselves as some type of failure on their part is ridiculous. You think people like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates don’t live extremely well? Charity is a collaborative effort of MANY people, not the responsibility of one or two.
Instead of people complaining that Brad and Angelina don’t give enough or are living too well, why don’t you challenge yourselves to give 10 or 20% of your income. Live with only what you NEED and nothing that you want. That wouldn’t go over so well for you, would it? I’m willing to bet the majority of people don’t give $5 a week to charity, yet they have the nerve to complain about people who are giving.
When I read some of the comments in here, I wonder where in the hell has common sense gone.

Fans, you’ve had your say and yes I know it’s still weeks away from the film festival season and the red carpets that our luminous duo will grace, but this hate story should not be nourished by us and if the haters want to keep it alive then fine. I think if angelina and brad were so giving for “publicity” they wouldn’t have to go as far as they do. angelina does work for the UNHCR that many of you don’t know about because she doesn’t publicize it, she just wants to call attention to all the awful things going on in this world. angelina went to cambodia with the UNHCR in threat of being killed, with no other protection besides what the regular UNHCR workers have (which is practically no protection, the get killed everyday) just to learn about the situation and try to help. has Roseanne done that? and angelina is constantly doing field work like that all the time. just by supporting Barack does not make Roseanne any better than angelina, who has given her time and money and heart to help….politics are BS…..actually giving of yourself is so much more. WHERE does Roseanne come off in calling someone EVIL for not supporting a president?!?!?! that is CRAZY. Roseanne has hardly done anything to help this world except open her loud mouth and make trashy sitcoms.

While I am no longer a Pitt or Jolie fan, I think it is silly to complain about what they donate or spend on themselves or anything else. They give more than the vast majority and how they spend their money on themselves or anything else is their right and their business. And they have the right to make any type movie they want to make. I don’t agree with the attacks on their work or spending. There are lots of violent action movies with male stars- I think even Rosanne’s ex husband started in one, it’s not really fair to slam Jolie for doing that genre.. It’s not the only type movie she makes - say what you will, she does have a good range as an actor.
