Zac and Ashley were on-hand to present the special achivement award to Kenny Ortega for Outstanding Director of a Made for TV Movie. (Kenny Ortega recently direct Zac and Ashley in High School Musical 3.
Zac, 20, is looking to move forward after carving his initial niche in the acting world. “I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on. I know for sure — and I need a new start,” said Zac.
He added, “I’m looking for something new and exciting to do. I want to do something dark, or a comedy. There’s tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting!”

The concert goers in west Virginia say he was at Van’s concert and now the Iowa concert goers saw him get out of her touring bus, watch the show from the sound box and then one of them finally got to speak with him and give him a hug after the show. He’s smart and talented. He looks really good here, I love dark suits on him. Zac spent the 1st half of this year filming 3 dif movies and in around a month he’ll be out promoting hsm3. I wonder what’s he’s gonna be doing these days then. He was at Vanessa’s(w/corbin) Iowa concert, he clearly came back for these awards so I wonder if he’ll go back to her for the rest of the stops? I think there should be no name calling here in regards to Ashley. Zac and Ashley have been friends before they even did any of the HSM movies. But as far as his look goes, I think it just goes to show that when he is with another female there is not a spark like there is when he is with Vanessa because he feels differently about Vanessa than any other woman. He even looks like he is having a better time when he is around Ashley when Vanessa happens to be there. Look at Ashley’s birthday pictures where Zac and Vanessa are together. Look at the pics from the HSM3 press conference where Zac is smiling with Ashley and has his arm around her AND Vanessa happens to be in his other arm. He just comes to life more when Vanessa is with him. I guess that is why he has said of Vanessa “she makes everything sparkle”—he certainly does.
ASSLEY is SOOOO UGLY! Look at her face! WOW, she’s hideous! Her fans are the only people who think she’s “pretty”. I’m not even a fan of Vanessa, but i’m damn sure that’s she’s actually pretty, unlike this fake.

What an honor for Zac and Ashley to be able to present this much deserved award to Kenny. I’m sure he is one director neither of them will ever forget. I think both of them look great. As others have said, Zac does have a longing, sadness in his eyes. The sparkle in his life is in Penn. right now. I’m sure Vanessa too is missing Zac. Ashley is a great actress. However, for a 23 year old she imitates Vanessa too much. This includes everything from hair, dress, smile, and mannerism. It is a little weird!
Vanessa is on tour..saw her concert in Milwaukee, it was awesome!! It is not a Zashley “thing”..although Ashley wishes it were. She does look cheap in that dress and the over done liquid tan. Courtney, IMO Zac looks bored with these events. I can’t recall ever seeing him look excited to be on a red carpet. I don’t care if Miss Vanessa herself had shown up, stood buck naked on the red carpet in front of him, he’d still probably rather be anywhere else. Down deep inside, he’s a 20-year-old small-town California dude who’s probably into sports, working out, video games, electronics, and hanging with family and friends.
Judging by the shortage of paparazzi coverage of him over the last month or so, I have every hope that he’s been able to spend quality time doing the things he loves. You ROCK, Zac!
Zac is not demanding $10 million a movie and no reports have said that. There IS a “report/rumor”—which we have no idea is true or not since it is not from a reliable source—that he is asking for that much to do HSM4. That is probably a total like from start to finish anyway and I just love how people take what is probably a rumor as it is and then either adds or subtract something from it to make it even MORE of a lie. Harry, you sould be part of a ragazine like Star of National Enquirer.

Lol, you people are lying to yourselves if you don’t think Zac looks more bored than usual. I know Zac doesn’t enjoy these kind of events for the most part. I see pictures and interviews and, even though he’s always polite, you can tell that he just wants to be away from the cameras and the attention. But he looks at least contempt when Vanessa’s around.
He’s not even pretending to enjoy himself here. No one’s reading anything more into this than what’s there. Not even a smile for the camera off stage. Maybe his distant mood has nothing to do with Vanessa, but it’s easy to see why someone would make that assumption.
Go back a few threads to the Teen Choice Awards or even the Palm Spring Festival last January (both are events he attended with Vanessa as his date), and you’ll see a difference in the way he acted.

Also, I don’t know if JJ has changed this or not but this awards show was not filmed on Friday night, it was done yesterday (Sunday) evening and will be on ABC on September 12th. Maybe Zac was somewhat tired in these pics since he has been with Vanessa since the WV concert.

I just don’t see the point in assuming if Zac is or isn’t happy, bored, or whatever based on his expression in a photo. I’m not dumb or “lying to myself” when i say that i don’t see what the fuss is that others are causing about what he looks like he feels., i get how people draw conclusions 24/7 about what he does and ‘omg zac is frowning, no!’ and ‘omg he is smiling, he’s happy yay!’ or ‘omg he looks about ready to cry, did he breakup with vanessa?’

zaccara Jared could very well have been at dinner too and he is just not in the photo. They are all friends. Also what he meant when he said “new start” was in his career, his life after HSM. He has grown up and wants to do roles that show that.

The people at the Iowa concert said you could see them holding hands backstage, during the Teen Choice awards he leaned over and kissed her according to one of the seat fillers at Zefron.com–Those photos from their vacation are pretty expressive as well.
Finally he was in according to concert goers in West Virginia, Iowa and Illinois you don’t spend time (if correct about a week) in a tour bus with someone you don’t love.

I don’t think Zac is ashamed of Vanesssa. He loves her. Any man who would do the fair circuit in the rain no less , is doing it for the one he loves. He has said numerous times that he is proud of Vanessa. If he was ashamed of her , he would have left her . He stuck by her in her darkest hours, and fully supports her and loves her for who she is. The pic you are referring to was taken the day before his appendix attack. Maybe they had to leave Urban Outfitters because he was feeling sick? We don’t know the circumstances. He looks pretty into her in pictures coming from Utah that were not HSM3 related. The basketball games, pap pics, candid shots from fans etc. The vacation photos look like he cares deeply for her too, and they were unaware of the photogs while they were there. Zac cares for Vanessa believe me. Guys don’t hang around for 3 years if they don’t care. I wouldn’t worry about them. Vanessa loves Zac and he loves her end of story.

did you notice when people ask him if they saw the paparazzi on their beach vacation his response was no i didn’t see them? not we didn’t see them. he never speaks of of them as “we” it’s always “i” which says a lot. “i go home. i hang out with my friends. i don’t hang out at clubs.” when you’re a “couple” as they’ve been for 3 yrs it’s second nature to say “we” and he never does.

This is ridiculous. Some of you want us to believe he went to West Virginia to hook up with Vanessa on her tour and went to places like Iowa and Illinois with her, etc, and then came back to LA to present an award to the man all of the cast of HSM love and suddenly he’s “Oh, now I am truly with the one I love”??—especially when that particular woman is with her boyfriend of over a year and a half? I still don’t see anyone posting the picture from gettyimages with all of them huging.
Oh, but wait, I get it…actually you Zashley fans or those who think Zac cannot be within 100 yards of another female or he is cheating or doing something he shouldn’t are saying he went to West Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, etc, only to break up with Vanessa after he has taken Hawaiian and Caribbean vacations with her, going on tour with her, showing her off at the Palm Springs Film Festival, giving her a big hug at the TCA’s—should I go on?? IF that is all bogus but this one photo tells the complete story of how he loves Ashley more, etc, then the guy is a jerk or you people are ridiculous. He is not in High School where a girl’s boyfriend is not allowed to ever talk to the opposite sex unless it is his said girlfriend. I am so glad I know who my husband wants and loves and don’t freak out whenever I am not there and he is within touching distance of a female. Zac is going to be pictured with a lot of other females in the business he is in so quit hating on those females or on Zac. What is he to do? People would really talk if he was like “Oh, no, I can’t be pictured with any other woman that is not “my” woman!” That’s stupid!
Also, the person who says Zac never touches Vanessa’s back or whatever….well, if he doesn’t, then he touches her derrirere and holds her hand enough—does that count?? How many pictures have you seen of them together?
Plus, just because the photographers didn’t choose to put Jared in the frame with Zac and Vanessa as they go out to eat doesn’t mean he wasn’t there. Paps and those kinds of people are notorious in doing things like that to 1) to stir up gossip, 2) they don’t care about the “unknown” person that is usually the spouse or significant other of a star, they are only interested in getting the celebrity’s picture. In this case they want the picture of those being sought after by the fans, ie: Zac or Ashley or them together.
Also, did anyone notice the video tiara posted where the interviewer slipped or did it on purpose but when posing a question to Zac and Ashley addressed them as “Zac and Vanessa” at which Ashley laughed and Kenny said, “What did she say?”

They look so happy to be presenting this award to Kenny. He’s been through so much with them, and he’s watched them all grow into great young men and women. Kenny must be so proud of them. And what would these movies be without Kenny’s vision and choreography?

Match made in heaven. I mean, there are so many ways for those two to bond. Couple fake-n-bake sessions (cause there’s no way those tans are real), oil absorbing sheets for her (to get rid of all that grease on her face) and a much needed trip to the hairdresser for him (self-explanatory).
Then a sleepover, where they can see how many layers of make-up they can cake on each other’s faces before they fall off. Ca-ute.
While they’re at it though, they should seriously consider getting Ashley some new hair, some new clothes, some new boobs (if she wants to wear dresses like that from now on, she should at least have something to show off) and a new wardrobe stylist. Maybe even a new face to match her new nose. She’s obviously going for the blonde and cheap bimbo look, so why not?

Looks like ashley tisdale is idolizing Vaness. Look at the recent photos of her. she’s doing the pouting of the lips ala Vanessa Hudgens, the hair and all. Im kinda disliking her. I feel she’s fake. Im not against her its just that, that is what i see.
