Zac and Ashley were on-hand to present the special achivement award to Kenny Ortega for Outstanding Director of a Made for TV Movie. (Kenny Ortega recently direct Zac and Ashley in High School Musical 3.
Zac, 20, is looking to move forward after carving his initial niche in the acting world. “I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on. I know for sure — and I need a new start,” said Zac.
He added, “I’m looking for something new and exciting to do. I want to do something dark, or a comedy. There’s tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting!”

There is a nice picture at gettyimages of Kenny, Zac, Ashley,and Jared(Ashley’s boyfriend). So, before anyone get carried away about Zac and Ashley and where is Vanessa and Zac and Ashley should date and….well, I think you got the message…Jared was there with Ashley. It seems that Jared and Ashley are going quite strong these days.

What an honor for Zac and Ashley to be able to present this much deserved award to Kenny. I’m sure he is one director neither of them will ever forget. He got them started on the fast track to success. Yes, they were both in other things , but HSM was both of their big breaks. Kenny was responsible for this.
I think both of them look great. As others have said, Zac does have a longing, sadness in his eyes. The sparkle in his life is in Penn. right now. I’m sure Vanessa too is missing Zac. She should be headed back tomorrow. Maybe she will get a day or two in LA to relax before Sacramento . Hopefully the paps will give her and Zac a break.

I think Ashley portrays herself as a wonderful person, which I’m sure she is - I just wish she would be more her fun-loving self with her choice of attire and not try to follow the blond bimbo hollywood route - she doesn’t need too - she needs to find herself!

Ashley is a great actress. However, for a 23 year old she imitates Vanessa too much. This includes everything from hair, dress, smile, and mannerism. It is a little weird!
