OlderAngie’s Dad - Jon Voight responds to Roseanne!
After Roseanne Barr blasted Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight, the Midnight Cowboy actor responded to Barr via Extra. Here is Roseanne’s blog entry in case you missed it. Jon’s response is below:
“Answer to Roseanne Barr’s Rant:
We can never be surprised at what vile evil comes from the mouth of a confessed victim of child abuse at the hands of her own parents.
Her parents responded to the accusation by going on the air and slating she is a psychopathic liar and her sister agreed.
Her defaming of our National Anthem in 1990 gave us insight into who she is and what she is capable of saying and doing.
My allegiance to Senator McCain becomes stronger with any assault that tries to deter my loyalty to him.
I can only pray that good people see her for what she is (sick of mind).

Overreaction, I can’t speak for anyone else, but myself……. nah, I’d have said Roseanne was off base if she’d said it about anyone, even someone I don’t like. I don’t have a devout allegience to AJ or BP; they’re people doing their job and a little more in this world, which I think is good. However, when a celebrity uses personal comments to try to bully people in this wonderful FREE country into voting a certain way, publicly, that’s just plain UNAMERICAN. Roseanne could have stood on her soapbox and said why people should vote for Obama without being so venemous and just plain vile and especially personal. She’s not been the most responsible and committed person in her past but because she “sees the light” now, she feels she needs to be listened too. So does my teenager!

No, the “sick” comments are from the fact that she went too far by insulting their children. I don’t care if someone doesn’t like Brad and Angie, hey, ALOT of people insulted them from the time they were together. Angie especially was called all sorts of names by the press especially in 2005/2006. So, insulting Brad and Angie isn’t new to us. But when you rant and rave like a crazy person and involve children in it, you’ve gone too far. I actually didn’t care about her statements because it just showed what a crazy person she was and made HER look bad in general and not Brad and Angie. She attacked them just because Angie said she’s not decided on who to vote for. Who does that? Roseanne even said that she liked Angie until she heard that Angie likes McCain, except, her information is wrong as Angie has NEVER said she liked McCain. Of course she couldn’t get the nationality of Maddox right either, he’s Cambodian, not Thai. IMO

I’m glad he responded to her craziness. Though he’s a little looney, too, and has said mean things about his daughter to the press……….probably why he didn’t defend Angie - he knows to keep his mouth shut now about her, even if he has something positive to say about her.

They’re both ridiculous. Trading barbs about their families when every single one of them is and has screwed up is like the pot calling the kettle black. The fact that Jon Voight’s own daughter won’t speak to him and he STILL feels the need to come swooping to her “rescue” in just as much a childish manner as Roseanne did in the first place is just laughable.
Roseanne is bankrupt, so she’s trying to get some air time somebody might offer her a job. Maybe she should go beg the producers of DWTS….. but they will just kick her out BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
