Michael Phelps Memoir On The Way

A lot of you felt that Sports Illustrated did a horrible job with Michael Phelps on the cover of their latest issue, covering up his body too much. Well, now check out the swimming champion in Olympic gold medal haute couture. Infinitely more interesting! Loving the bracelet, btw. Ferosh!

To see Phelps in his other haute couture get-up, visit PrettyOnTheOutside.

Phelps, 23, also plans on writing a book telling the story behind the winning of his eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympic games. “Built To Succeed”, due out in December, will cover his philosophy on training and competition, as well as his life being raised by a single mother and coping with an attention-deficit disorder.

He can swim but his face is unfortunate.

SO sick of him already!

I think the book thing is a great idea, The world needs more of this type of books. It is great that he want to share his life and success.

Way to go Michael Phelps!

Okay, so he’s not Brad Pitt, but legends like this guy can have a few extra points added on their hotness score. I have had my fair share of weird crushes come Olympics time. There is something undeniably hot about Olympians. I can’t wait to wake up Michael Phelps over my daily bowl of Cornflakes!!!

YOU SAID IT, NUMBERS # 31 # 36 AND # 38….. People who are slamming Michael are jealous… Maybe they did not fulfill their own need of an olympic goal of some type. But Michael has always acknowleged his team-mates, and in EVERY interview on television he let the reporter interview them FIRST. He never hogged the camera for a moment…. And he always shook hands with the losers or hugged them. His mother did an awesome job raising him and his sisters. As of last Thursday, the news media, said his father had yet to contact him to congratulate him. I don’t think it would be a heart breaking situation after hearing some friends of his on t.v. discuss what happened when the father left home. There is no love lost there! Michael they said, will make a wonderful dad and husband, unlike Lance Armstrong who let the spotlight take over his 15 minutes of fame and drag it out for all of us to get bored with him ( and disgusted ). I wish him the best, as he deserves it. AND his mother!!! She has worked the hardest of all…

does he pay you for all the pr????….perhaps a portion of the proceeds of his book will go to you

Oh good grief… where to start…

black: He’s not milking anything. It’s been barely a week and you’re already accusing him of milking attention after breaking… 6 World Records, surpassing the number of career medals gold medals for any one Olympian and becoming the only Olympian to ever win 8 gold medals in a single Olympics? Dude… as far as I’m concerned, he can gloat ’til he’s blue in the face and has laryngitis. But he’s not that kind of guy.

A (#14)… Maybe people with really short attention spans will forget him, but I think you’re forgetting all the people who watched and admired his abilities in Athens and remembered him right on up to Beijing and will remember him yet again right up until London. Please. Nobody’s going to remember the age of the Chinese Women’s gymnastics team… but trust me, they’ll remember Michael Phelps.

Jenny… If you’ve heard any of the interviews with his mother or himself or the little bio blurbs, you’d know that’s not what the book will be about. (There’s actually a book about him already)
____

As far as his looks and somewhat awkward bodily dimensions (large wingspan, longer than normal torso, shorter than normal legs etc)… It’s been hinted that he has Marfan Syndrome which explains all of the above as well as his heart rate and flexibility.

___

As for the other swimmers… do you not see him cheering his teammates on? That’s not him trying to push them for his own glory, he really supports his teammates and wants the best for them and for them to do their best.

This does no justice for him at all! He is so SKINNY!
