OlderBarack Obama Picks Joe Biden For VP
Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama has chosen Delaware Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, reports CNN.
Biden, 65, is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He has four children, one of whom is deceased. Background info via Wiki: In 1966, while in law school, Biden married Neilia Hunter. They had three children, Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III, Robert Hunter, and Naomi. His wife and infant daughter died in a car accident shortly after he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972. His two young sons, Beau and Hunter, were seriously injured in the accident, but both eventually made full recoveries. In 1977, Biden married Jill Tracy Jacobs. They have one daughter, Ashley.
Obama and Biden will face off in the November 4 presidential election against Republican John McCain, who has not yet announced his choice for VP candidate.

Personally, I’m not surprised at the Biden pick, he’s been on the top of the list for a while now. I’m also really glad he didn’t choose Hillary. Not that I have anything against Hillary, but as #12 said, Obama and Hillary aren’t on good terms and it is best that they keep their distance from one another.

Kennedy and Johnson hated each other. Despite his many flaws, Kennedy had the guts to pick the best VP candidate.
Luckily for many in this country, Johnson became the president that Kennedy never could have been.
Biden is a terrible choice. He has always been the egotistical & vain high school jock type. He is not even close to brilliant - not even in the ballpark. I await his first embarrassing gaffe on the campaign trail. Perhaps he’ll reiterate how “clean and articulate” Obama is. Or perhaps he’ll remind everyone that you need an Indian accent to go into 7/11s. My this is going to be rich.

While were are on the topic of family, CINDY McCAIN inherited her fathers multimillion dollar beer empire and acts like an only child. But her father had a daughter before Cindy and she was “NOT GIVEN A PENNY” and Cindy continuously claims she is an only child.
When her dad died, Cindy cut off all of her sister’s credit cards.
