Katie Holmes is Fedora Friendly
Katie Holmes adds a new touch to her now-typical boyfriends jeans look, topping off her outfit with a stylish black fedora in New York City on Saturday morning.
The 29-year-old actress headed into rehearsals to prepare for her Broadway debut in the the Arthur Miller play “All My Sons”.
Katie accessorized with her usual Chloe “Partay” handbag and a new pair of gold flats with toe pads.
Earlier this week, Jennifer Aniston also recently hopped on the “boyfriend jeans look“.

Hmmmm. She looks like she is trying very hard to be an ‘it girl’, much like Marie-Kate Olsen, Mischa Barton or Sienna Miller back in the day, rather than the almost 30-year Mom that she is. It makes you wonder just how the Cruise marriage is going when she takes such an interest in cultivating this trend-setting it-girl persona. It’s not a cliche for nothing when they say that women happily married often let themselves slide a little, while single girls and women unhappy in their relationships often follow fashion like a pack of rabid dogs. I see a change in her lately. The way she appears in recent pics, I’d say she appears more like an independent young Hollwood starlet out for a good time as opposed to the image of the ‘poised’ Mrs. Tom Cruise. But it may be just my wishing thinking…

She’s so awkward. She doesn’t have that effortless flair that real trend setters have. She looks like she spent an eternity picking out her outfits and they all look like crap on her. One thing about being a so called ‘fashionista’ is that you shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that your clothes should, above all, fit and flatter you. Katie has no style.
What happened to Katie? She was so pretty. She looks like a man now. Look at her clothing. She dresses like a guy. Everything is very drab looking. There are no bright colors at all. Something very strange happened to her!

I saw her this afternoon ( 08/23 ) on 4th Ave. First I haven`t recognized her in spite of the 3 photographers jumping around her. She looked so thin and sad, not like on these above pictures.

All of Katie Holmes’ fashion “looks” lately have been disasters; she’s borrowing from other women, but chooses clothing and accessories that make her look ridiculous, while the other women appear to feel comfortable in their clothes. Too many times Katie looks like she’s dressing up in mommy’s clothing, and wearing her husband’s pants is just plain dumb, they aren’t flattering.
There’s an expression: Clothes don’t make the man (woman). We all seem to place value on someone’s appearance, and not who they really are. Maybe Katie should sit back, take a breath, and re-evaluate what she’s doing with her life right now, because she’s all over the place.
