You guys are really funny? Just because they hug each other like that doesn’t mean they are dating. Olesya Rulin and Chris Warren Jr. are also hugging each other, does that mean they are dating. And the reason Zac and Vanessa don’t hug like this in public is because they want to keep their relationship on the down low, and the way Zac and ashley hug or look at each other is more of a friendly gesture than a romantic one like Zac and Vanessa. Zac and Vanessa’s hugs are romantic, and we have discussed on how they look at each other with passion, lust, and love. So please stop spreading false rumors, and stop believing in what is false.

I hate to burst all you little Ashley fans hearts but Ashley knows exactly what she is doing. A thread about Ashley maybe 30 hits, add Jared maybe 60. Now Zac and Ashley 200 hits. She does everything for the publicity A vacation with your parents, boyfriend and the paps? Shopping with 15 year Miley (it was before her birthday) who suddenly a good friend.Even down to being bffs with Vanessa. She once said she babysat for Zac, now she’s in love with him. I doubt it. it amazes me how ignorant some people can be. in case some of you don’t already know, zac and ashley are best friends, even before zac and vanessa started dating. some people seem to lose sight of the fact that beneath all the fame are regular people trying to lead a regular life. its perfectly normal for two best friends to hug especially given the fact that its so hard for them to even hang out anymore without the media going wild and coming up with one rumor after another. zac and vanessa are at a point in their relationship where no matter what happens they can work through anything. its obvious that they trust each other to hang out with other people and if some people can’t see that i don’t know how they can call themselves fans, because fans respect the decisions of whoever they look up to. zac and vanessa have been going strong for three years now, a picture of, of all things, two friends hugging is not going to change that. i think its about time that zac, vanessa and ashley are recognized as the mature adults they have grown into.

I’m sorry but I have to agree with older and wiser. I don’t see anything wrong with the hugs, they’re just friends but being seen with Zac or Vanessa does boost her publicly. She’s been the longest in the business and she knows the value of publicity and uses it the most of the cast.

Proof?

She hardly poses with her boyfriend on the red carpet or at events because he is unknown.

She is friends with Miley but was never seen publicly with her in over a year till the day her film: Picture this was showing on telly when they posed for the paps.

She is partnered with Lucas in hsm but in all things hsm would rather pose with Zac and Vanessa as they are more well-known.

I’m sorry for being skeptical but it can’t have escaped her notice that she didn’t feature in any noms for TCA nor in the guest list even though she was in town, she’s not been invited to MTV VMA awards but Zac and Vanessa are attending and presenting. She’s yet to have a solo adult mag photoshoot or teen magazine cover and she just endorses Ecko (with Vanessa) and degree girl.

Ashley has been longer in the business and has produced more work than either Zac or Vanessa but unfortunately they seem to be making a quicker inroad to adult hollywood and are simply being more recognised possibly because of Vanessa’s fashion and endorsements.

The two events we have seen her attend are hsm related (and the premier of her sister’s movie), at the Alma awards, a reporter even called her Vanessa which was a pity.

The truth is that she and Vanessa are friends, she is with Jared and Vanessa and Zac are tight but generating harmless speculation about her and Zac will give her a much needed boost.

Check the post counts on other Ashley related threads, they are always in the 40s, even Selena and Demi now get more post counts than Ashley but this, this is helping raise her profile at least for now.

My fear for her and her fear I think is that come HSM 3 promo, whether they like it or not, Zac and Vanessa will overshadow everyone else because of their popularity and fans, their fans have multiplied since hsm 2. This is her opportunity to shine and be noticed undisturbed so let her be. I just hope it doesn’t backfire.

i read a quite a few of the comments and i absolutely adore zac and vanessa together but to wish ashley to just go away is not right and same to vanessa. i mean, they are trying to promote a movie and co-stars do hug and pose together. the downside to that is then people assume your cheating and a bad friend or boyfriend/girlfriend. some of you act like you know them so well but in reality you know what they give you and what the media feeds you, and most the time its false. really, just take a step back and think about it.

I’m not even going to waste my time pointing out how wrong you are about every accusation you make against Vanessa. I’ve argued over that for too long now.

But do know this, in the 19 years she’s been alive, Vanessa has had to go through more than Ashley has in all her 22 or some years. Some of the things she’s faced would have sent people twice her age running for the hills. And she had to face them while people were watching. I think what’s bothering people about the Ashley “trying to seduce Zac” picture is that it brings home a very painful reminder—Zac’s initial reluctance to admit he really was in a relationship with Vanessa. The hugging is just that one moment for several pictures. After that you don’t see anymore pictures of them hugging each other, and they were not even standing next together in the several group pictures with all the HSM casts.

In the DVD promotional pictures of HSM2, Zac was always standing next to Vanessa during the group picture with all the HSM casts.

I just see it as friendship hugs only. There was pictures of Vanessa hugging Corbin before, and they are friends too. Vanessa has hugged Lucas before too. The HSM casts are all friends and worked together for three movies, therefore, they are all best friends to one and other.

Beside Vanessa is very secure with herselves. She has alot going for her. She is in talks doing another movie. She has many photo shoots for several magazines. She has a great family that supported her through anything. She is working herselves out of Disney. Remember Vanessa has landed roles in two big screen movies before HSM.

If she was smiling at the camera like would have been the normal non home-wrecking thing to do, he probably would have rested his head against hers or something. I’ve seen him do that with Ashley before.

But like I said, since it seems like she’s raising her face to kiss him, that’s why he brought his head a little bit back.

has it ever occurred to some of you that this is just a photograph? it’s not a video, or an animation. we don’t know what happened before that photo was taken. she’s not a magnet attracted to his face. she looked up and they caught it. end of story. they were not kissing or holding hands or looking into each others eyes the way a couple would. these are two best friends who can’t even be themselves around each other without their so called fans going wild and pairing them off and then bashing them. a hug is just a hug, just because you hug someone does not mean you are dating them. it’s ridiculous that these rumors start up over something as innocent as this. ashley said zac has a great body. its not like its old news. i’m sure everyone posting here has seen zac’s body, doesn’t mean everyone here has been with him at some point. heck millions of people have seen zac’s body, take hawaii or turks and caicos for example. i really think this bashing has to stop. give them some credit and if you can’t, you shouldn’t be considered a fan.

Zac only said that about the ring thing when the Hawaiian pics first came out as eh was trying to keep his relationship with Vanessa in a “sacred” place and not let the paps go crazy. Of course it didn’t work and he did not deny they were an item. There was even a big story written about them in a People’s magazine issue with the two of them on the cover. He just refuses to discuss their private life. As far as PDA goes, what more do you want Zac and Vanessa to do? There are numerous pics of them displaying PDA that are not of them in Hawaii or the Caribbean! And some of those PDA pictures are quite steamy. Have you not seen them? Also, it was not just Zac who denied they were a couple for so long. Even after the Hawaiian pics Vanessa would not come out and say they were a couple because she did not want to discuss her personal and private life. Many have taken her to task when she has done magazine interviews as they thought she hadn’t done Zac right. In one of her last interviews she said she didn’t talk about her relationship and that is why she thought it worked and people blasted her for that. So, everybody needs to quit saying Zac is not worthy of Vanessa. The two of them refuse to cheapen their relationship by going on about it everytime someone wants to be nosy. It is obvious how they feel about each other in their pictures with each other.

I think Ashley got a little carried away in the photos but as someone said, I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt as I would like to believe she didn’t really mean any harm. It would be good if we could all do that.
