Another great article - worth reading all the way to the end. It looks at SCI from different perspectives, including the male and female issues involved, and physical, emotional, and psychological perspectives. Very educational. Men with SCI can still have happy and healthy marriages and sometimes with invitro fertilization, they can have children. They have options. It’s not all black and white, doom and gloom. The more I read about this issue, the more interesting it becomes. It’s certainly nothing a man should feel ashamed about.

If I think Bloom should be ashamed of anything, it’s the pretending to be something he’s not, the image he’s possibly trying to create and live up to, and living lies instead of just keeping the focus on his work and his career. He was doing fine before all the pap fest and PR garbage. He managed Midsomer Murders, Casualty, LOTR, Pirates, Ned Kelly and Calcium Kid, not to mention getting signed on for Troy - all BEFORE the PR games and fakery. That’s what’s so disappointing. He had it all and went for the fame and celebrity instead of the craft and the long term career. What a fool.

Anyway, should he ever get serous about a real relationship, the right woman will have to have understanding, patience and compassion. Think that’s Miranda? Could be, I guess…

And how can you claim that he isn’t interested in “the craft” when he took a supporting role on the London stage when none of his Hollywood reps wanted him to? Plus the fact that he has a movie in development about the war in Bosnia and its effect on the people of Sarajevo. And he hopes to get a movie made about a nontraditional young diplomat who walked across Aphganistan to better understand the people of that region. Would you consider either of these films to be Hollywood drivel?

What’s the “point” of ANY pap photos?
If you think that there is an alterior motive, then you do believe in conspiracy theories. Maybe not all of them, but at least some.
Why can’t it be as simple as: the paps know where she lives, they knew from sightings that Orlando was back in town, they waited until one or both of them came out, and took pictures. Is that really so hard to believe? If it was really a “set up”, why didn’t they just walk down the street holding hands? Those pics would have made more tabloids than pics of them together but unrecognizable because of the helmets. If they wanted to pimp their relationship, it would have been much simpler than this.

But why do you automatically think that she promised them anything? The paps were there trying to get pics of them together, he takes off on a motorcycle which they would never be able to keep up with, and then she comes out for a walk with her mom. Of course they would rather have had pics of Orlando, but he was long gone. They were there so they decided to follow Miranda to get a few pics so the day wasn’t a total loss. Is that so illogical?

If we had pics of them sans helmets, walking hand in hand, they would have been all over the gossip magazines. They could have received a lot more publicity, with even less effort, if that’s what they really wanted.

I don’t believe that I ever implied that the paps were that interested in her. They are interested in Orlando, or them as a couple, but Miranda isn’t famous enough to warrant the attention by herself.

Actually, publications like People and US Weekly crop her out the photos and caption them “Not Pictured: Miranda Kerr”. Well at least the Daily Tell-A-Lie takes care of their favorite hometown girl.
