In fact, there are many, many african nationalities whose people look less “black” than the blacks who were born here in America. And I don’t know what the hell kind of internet genetics course you took, but most African Americans are not at least 25% white; the number is closer to being 10% and even then it’s not a universal thing.

mayfairgirl, you also sound moronic. There is a clear difference between NATIONALITY and ETHNICITY. Someone can be ethnically african while still being Canadian, just like someone can be ethnically white and still be South African. For example, singer Seal is NOT an African American; he is British of African descent. On that note, Charlize Theron is South African of European descent. See the difference? Please learn more about these things before trying to correct someone else.

That said, it is not obvious that Chris Noth’s fiance is anything other than black. She is definitely Canadian (a NATIONALITY, not a race), and she may very well have a non-black parent so I’m not saying she isn’t mixed, but I know tons of black people who are exotic looking and still have two black parents. Black people are just like whites, asians, hispanics, etc. in that we all do not look the same and there is a ton of variation from person to person!
