Tim Gunn: Jennifer Aniston Looks Desperate
Project Runway fashion guru Tim Gunn ripped into Katie Holmes’ style and now he’s taking down Jennifer Aniston!
“Sometimes I think she has ‘desperate character’ written on her,” Tim told OK! at the Manhattan launch party for Tide and Downy Total Care. “The clothes we wear send a message. And I think that’s the message — I don’t think that’s her intention though.”
Aniston seems happy being man-free but apparently Tim doesn’t think so!

Haters, first off this also includes Jen since she likes to wear a two piece childs bikini crammed up her butt and short shorts without a bra. Ummm it’s just not Pamela A, or Britney it’s also Jen. Maybe she’s bi polar or needs put on meds. I bet Britneys dad can watch over her till she’s better.

Yeah JA HAS dressed like this for years. Plus she doesn’t look desperate at all, except to a bunch of gossipy old housewives, who probably married because they had scant dating prospects and resent that some women don’t have the same dreary lots. Half of all marriages end in divorce anyhow, the others as often as not, just stay together for convenience. Who’s kidding who?
It takes more maturity and security to have fun affairs rather than jumping from relationship to relationship. NOT the other way around, regardless of what the tabloids say.
This dude Gunn is definitely jumping on the jeering-housewife bandwagon to try to promote himself.

Maybe he’s talking about the bikini shots and the latest appearance in NY in tube top and so on.
I don’t see “desperate” when it comes to Jennifer either. She’s not asking the media to follow her around. She’s not asking for this attention. I agree with the very first poster: it’s time to let her be.
It’s sad when people feel it necessary to tear, tear, tear down.

Not only how she wears but also her vibe ,the way she carry herself shows she is desprate. Everymove she makes gives away how desprate she is. I am gald someone told her that.
Anytime, everytime someone is not worshipping this woman her little fan base get all up in the air about it. They act just like their god Jennifer Aniston. She is probably at home crying right now and calling her pr trolls to find her a stylist.
If looking sad and emotionally “droopy” is desperate then so be it. I always get the feeling that she is extremely guarded, having an internal pity party and not very confident. I hope I am wrong but she’s not done much in the last 3 years to make me believe otherwise.

This is a trend…they are now in the press more negative and bashing articles towards her and her image is changing : She is NOW depicted by the majority of the press as a manipulative, insecure looser.
You know the power of the press to act as a magnifiying glass for the masses and distill a certain image. Now trying to change that image won’t be easy. People still come up with things that Angie did more than a decade so Aniston new image will be here for a long time !
Jen has only herself to blame and if you think that it is only a minor incident, you are delusional. It is a definitely another move aimed at putting the light on her ‘fraudulent’ innocent image. While Angie has been depicted for years as a witch, Aniston was depicted as the angel. The problem with that theory is that the exageration was negative for one and positive for the other…after a while recent acts weigh and shed a new light to the perceived truth. It put things in perspective and the passion dying wil put in equilibrium the feelings. The witch is not as witch as some were thinking, hence more positive feelings towards her and the angel is not as angelic as she portrayed herself, hence more blame to come towards Aniston in the near future !
Please quit with the angry attitudes. The ignorant tirade of comments that find their way to this website is despicable for— what I assume are — rational adults. It is severely distasteful. On the original website, over 60% of people don’t even agree with his thoughts of her clothes (it goes up % down - earlier it was 80%), which by the way she looks amazing in! She is a great actress! I can’t wait for her next movie “Management” coming up this month. I love Steve Zahn too! “Saving Silverman” was awesome.
I agree with Tim 100%. She sure is desperate. Too bad Brad doesn’t want her back. She’s now an OLD and UGLY old bag.

I would be living my life to the fullest if I had her money. I would be traveling all over the world, enjoying making new friends all over the globe, volunteer to help others & contribute to causes close to my heart, and so much more!
I don’t understand her she doesn’t really travel other than to Hawaii or Cabo and any other travel is just because she has too, or do much of anything else. I would not be worried about trying to be a big “MOVIE SUPERSTAR” or who I am going to date/marry next. I would be thankful to God for what he has blessed me with and the opportunity to have been in a couple of movies and to have been associated with a TV show that ran for 10 years and I thankful for the residual income that very well could last me for the rest of my natural life.
I believe that is her problem is that she feels she has not done anything significant in HW as far as being known as a “great actress” and because of that attitude she never will. Maybe if she take focus off herself and do more for others maybe things will change for her. Over 20 years of therapy and she seems to be just as messed up or worse. I don’t know her but from her body language and how she interviews it shows a very insecure woman with issues that she still carries and somehow refuse or can’t let go of. Which by the way she has admitted she is neurotic in her interviews and it shows.
I tell you she can send me her money and I will show her how to live. God only gives you one life and we are to live in joy, not just exist. Maybe that’s her problem she don’t know GOD.
I’m a Jen fan and agree with Tim. I do wish Jen would dress like her age sometimes. No more tube tops!
The fact that people on blogs agree or not is not important or even relevant.
What is relevant is the fact that the press is NOW depicting her in a non sacred way and if they do, it is a sign that her period of grace is finito.
Every move she will do from now one will be analysed in that persepective and the press won’t hestate to resort to that new perceived ‘poor me-desperate’ image they will now sell to the public.
it’s about time people saw how desperate jenhag is. she will die all alone, childless, and still manly looking.

Seriously to be that…aah, you know what, that’s a topic for another day) Anyway, I just had to say this…am I the only one who truly feels sorry for Jennifer Aniston’s fans? LMAO! Yeah Jared, you were so unfair not posting the bit about JA being a gorgeous woman and understanding her fashion. I’ll leave the gorgeous part coz as they say…beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Now the part about her understanding her fashion - First of all, notice the operative word there is HER. She understands HER fashion, not Fashion in general, HER own (and don’t forget he already used the word character) So with that cleared up, I’ll say…well duh! Of course she undesrands her fashion! it’s like saying a pastor understands his fashion or a nurse understands her fashion or a policeman understanding his fashion. You are supposed to know the fashion for whatever it is you wanna project to the world.
She has chosen to project desperation, of course she has to know the fashion for desperation. Hellooooooo!

I love Tim Gunn, always have..He tells it like he sees it , but he also has a great sense of humor about himself. I hate to kick a woman when she’s down, but I think Tim’s right. For people getting up in the air about it, he’s not talking about her actual personal life being desperate, but the image her clothing projects.
As for the person saying Aniston has dressed like this for YEARS, I think you made a point for the other side of this argument. She’s almost 40 not still in her twenties. If she likes the look, more power to her, but she has to own it for what it is.
