John McCain to Sarah Palin: I Choose You!
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate at a campaign rally on Friday in Dayton, Ohio.
“Governor Palin is a tough executive who has demonstrated during her time in office that she is ready to be president,” the McCain campaign said Friday. “Governor Palin has the record of reform and bipartisanship that others can only speak of. Her experience in shaking up the status quo is exactly what is needed in Washington today.”
This move will sure pick up a few of the Hillary Clinton voters!
Little known facts: Palin came in second place at the Miss Alaska pageant in 1984. The 44-year-old Idaho-native also is the mother of five children.

She is a clear pawn being used by McCain to capture those undecided HRC supporters and undecided independents. People posting her claiming to be HRC supporters and now would vote for M/P are either trolls or ignorant people who were never ever die hard HRC supporters in the first place. But just wolf in sheep clothing. SP does not match with what HRC worked all her life for. There are different in values and issues. It seems you would only be an idiot to vote for M/P because there would be a woman in Washington. That shows hypocrisy flat out by you people that think that way of wanting to vote M/P.
He is using her a pawn also to get something and his motives now seem fishy. It leads the educated to think many things:
1. Is he going to use her for women votes and then if he somehow wins and gets in the WH, then create a “conspiracy” to get her step down and then bring in someone else?
2. What really is his message? He has not utlined sh*t about his policies and even if he does, it would resemble that of Bush because he is a warmonger and warmongers do not change their tactics at all.
Overall, for the voter with intelligence, we can see that this woman has no foreign policy or national security experience. Is she capable of sitting at the negotiation table with Putin, Ahmadinejad or another world leader? Hell NO. Many things come into play also. John McCain is a man who has a sickness that can return someday for worst. God forbid that he is the President and has to be out of the picture, do you know what that means? She is your President. Yes she would be and that would be a disgrace to the country that a woman with no Washington experience at all, is the President.
For a mother to have a 4 month old Down Syndrome child, she needs to be on hand to answer the call at 3 in the morning. Suppose there is a crisis in the world and she as VP gets the call at 3 am, do you think she can say no thanks i cannot come? She has to be there.
To all the disgruntled HRC people, learn facts before shouting. HRC said she did not want the #2 spot period. So that means that Obama did not snub her.
Biden is going to rip this Palin woman to shreds in the VP debate full on. He knows the game and how it is played. At least we know Obama has someone with the capacity to answer something. Plus look back at Bush. Do you think bush new everything to be President? Hell No. Cheney was his tutor on what to do to be a good President everyday. But the same ignorant voters reinstated him for a second term. Obama outlined his change terms and with it said that it would not be easy. He was never pompous to say off the bat that they would work from day one. He give you the idea to show he has a clear outline rather than that old rhetoric bald head war monger who talks of war, drill over and over again.

As some people say, if he McLame gets into the WH, they are leaving the country. That is something that I might do if he does cause he wants war to remain and create disunity within the American people while focusing more on the external politics than internal. From Obama’s speech he said something that was of worth. That for America to get back its credibility as a world leader nation, it has to show the world that they are a world nation through having stable, unified internal nation and can gain respect as being see as a talker and walker. Bush failed this nation by focusing more external and forgetting to manage internally. With McCain that is what he wants to do again. Concentrate outside more than inside. So if you feel that he is your savior, pull the lever for him. But when the first two years are the same, don’t cry out because you’ll be a hypocritical idiot.

WOW I’m absolutely baffled by some of these responses…those so called “Hillary supporters” now voting for McCain, should STOP lying. You never were a true Hillary supporter because Palin stands for everything that Hillary opposes.
I can’t believe people are actually willing to switch their vote simply because she’s a WOMAN?! How superficial, what happened to voting for the actual issues at hand? #261: well, jess if she’s everything you say she is then you have nothing to worry about anyhow. Why are you so concerned with her resume when you don’t intend to vote for her anyhow?
Obama supporters are scared even they called her this or that, but they know this woman will give Obama headache. She will teach Obama a lesson that is don’t ever ignore a woman’s power.
Any true Hillary supporters will not vote for McCain/Palin, so don’t fret. The people who say that they are now voting for him b/c he picked a woman weren’t issues people in the first place. It’s all about gender. They want a woman, any woman.
I’m offended that John McCain would actually think she could take over at the top spot should anything happen to him. It’s a very scary thought that our future could rest in the hands of someone who admits she has no interest in foreign policy and doesn’t pay attention to the Iraq War.

Sarah Palin is an amazing mother. I am in tears reading her story about her baby having downs syndrome. What is so remarkable is that she chose to have her baby even though she knew before hand that the baby has already downs syndrome. She is such a strong woman and a remarkable mother. Every woman should be proud of her.
Sarah will become a great leader.

I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

Wildflower509 “hit the nail on the head” (as Sarah would say) in post #9. Sarah Palin is a smart, tough reformer who fought back heroically against corruption and won, against all the odds. In doing so, she won over many people in Alaska to her side, just as she is starting to do now in the other 49 states. Sarah’s approval ratings in Alaska have hovered near or over the 90% mark…..she’s the most popular governor in America, with good reason. The evidence is there in her accomplishments…..she wasn’t afraid to take on Frank Murkowski, Ted Stevens, and others, even while many tried to force her to be muzzled. Take the time to get to know more about Sarah firsthand…..listen to what she says in her own words, not just what others say about her. Hopefully you’ll get to know a remarkable woman. I wasn’t going to vote this November. Neither candidates impressed me. When John McCain was going announced his VP i was still not interested until i saw “Sarah Palin”. I asked myself who is she? she’s not on the short list media was naming. Then I read more on her. CNN interviewed a WSJ writer who has been covering and reporting Alaska for 10 years ….
What he said is, “he was blown away when heard Palin was chosen as the running mate” - I think the whole nation was, if you asked me. He then proceed to talk about Palin as being a very good Governor and a popular one. Charming, appealing and a no-nonsense woman. He continued on to say she stopped corruption in her own party. Stopped government spemding. Took on BP (?) the oil and energy company saying that those men in suits are one tough bullies that Palin single handedly made them fall to their knees , so to speak. Got the big oil corps to pay takes, and Palin took the money and gave it to the people in a form of a rebate worth $1,200!!!!! The WSJ journalist has nothing but good things to say about her. He was blown away. I think to be able to take on a Goliath we call Big Corporations and made them give back to the little people, that’s a true Heroine if you ask me. That’s an accomplishment to a “T”. I can’t say the same for the men AND woman who ever run for president. What’s Obama got on his resume, except Oprah’s boytoy , The Hollyweirdo Community’s p.r. and being HALF black? I’m sick of hearing Obama the black man, he’s HALF black with a white mother who he is still close to him. Let’s not forget that!!!!!!
This election has now piqued my interest again. I’m going to follow both teams all the way to debate. Then I will make my decision. Before I was one party, now i’m a swing voter.
